Overview

Clicks go on your own card and the account stays under your login. First comes a free check of one setting: the time zone. An account on Sydney time switches a 7am–6pm schedule off at 3pm in Perth. We work from Lucknow, India, in your afternoon and evening (12:30pm–9:30pm AWST), with no Perth office and no Partner badge.

Quick answer

What does Google Ads management cost a Perth business each month, all in?

Three amounts arrive each month: our fee, a fixed figure in the A$990–A$9,800 band agreed in writing before you sign; your clicks, charged by Google Australia to your own card; and the 10% GST Google adds to that spend for an Australian business address. Worked through for Perth, A$5,000 of clicks, A$500 of GST and a A$990 fee total A$6,490, and at the A$18.06 "service + Perth" median that spend buys roughly 277 clicks. Of nine page-one results for "google ads agency perth" checked on 7 October 2026, one showed a fee, and only in its title. A$5,000 buys clicks, not enquiries: no one can honestly promise how many convert. The fee, the terms and your ownership of the account are what we put in writing.

  • A$990–A$9,800 fee band, month-to-month terms confirmed in writing
  • Your ad spend goes card to Google, never through Codingclave
  • An account's time zone can't be changed later, so choose AWST on day one
  • WA electrical, plumbing and building ads must carry the licence or registration number

Google Ads management in Perth: what agencies print about fees, spend and terms (checked 7 Oct 2026)

Perth's ranking pages describe the work at length and keep the fee for a phone call. Below is only what each page-one provider prints; AIML Digital and Daisy Digital also rank but publish no fee, spend or term. For scale, Digital Nomads HQ (July 2026) puts typical Australian management at A$800–A$2,000 monthly, or 10–20% of spend.

One more Perth page worth knowing, outside the table: sitecentre's Perth PPC page says its customers spend $1,000–$3,000 a month and promotes a non-compete guarantee and no lock-ins.

Adding up a Perth month. A$5,000 of clicks, plus A$500 of GST on Google's invoice, plus our fee from A$990, comes to A$6,490. A 10–20% fee on that spend would be A$500–A$1,000, and it climbs whenever the budget does; a flat fee moves only when scope changes.

What to ask about $400. Harmonised's figure is a fair anchor for a small Joondalup consultancy; ask whether GST is on top. Fees across the rest of Australia are compared on Google Ads management across Australia.

What a Perth click costs, and what A$1,000 to A$5,000 a month buys

Digital Nomads HQ's May 2026 data puts the median click for a "service + Perth" search, the "plumber perth" kind, at A$18.06 (US$12.60). That is above Melbourne's A$16.95, behind only Sydney and Brisbane, and 4.7 times the A$3.81 median across 8,400+ Australian service keywords. Here are the budgets Perth agencies themselves recommend, turned into clicks.

Perth budgets agencies recommend, priced at the A$18.06 'service + Perth' median (median, so real accounts vary; Digital Nomads HQ, May 2026 data; daily = monthly ÷ 30.4; our arithmetic, checked 7 Oct 2026)
Monthly spend (who suggests it)Average daily budgetClicks at A$18.06Spend + 10% GSTAll-in with A$990 fee

A$5,000 (Loaded, for legal, dental, real estate)A$164.47about 277A$5,500A$6,490

What month one looks like, as arithmetic only. Suppose 1 in 20 clicks became an enquiry, an assumption for the sum and not a forecast. Then A$3,000 at the median buys about 166 clicks and about 8 enquiries. Month one exists to find your real rate.

A narrow search such as "hot water system replacement Baldivis" usually clears for less than "plumber perth", because fewer advertisers bid on it. Treat that as an expectation to check in Keyword Planner for your own suburbs, not as data. Click costs by industry are on our national Google Ads page.

Is your Google Ads account on Sydney time? AWST set-up, ad schedules and the budget day

Many Perth accounts were opened by an east-coast agency, or by an owner who clicked past the time zone field. That setting decides when ads run, when the budget resets and how hourly reports read.

  • The time zone is fixed when the account is created

Standard accounts no longer support a time zone change: another zone means a new account, without the old history. Billing pages show Pacific time regardless. Source: Google Ads Help on account time zones.

  • What an eastern-time account does to a Perth schedule

Ad schedules run on the account's clock, and Google advises adjusting them for the customer's time zone (ad schedule help). Enter 7am–6pm in a Sydney-time account and, until 4 April 2027, the ads run 4am–3pm in Perth.

  • The budget day ends at 9pm or 10pm Perth time

In a Sydney-time account, midnight falls at 9pm in Perth during eastern daylight saving and 10pm otherwise, so a 9:30pm Perth search on Tuesday is charged to Wednesday's budget. Hour-of-day reports shift by the same 2–3 hours: an 8am Perth search shows up as 11am.

  • Fix it or work around it

    • Work around it. Shift the schedule: 10am–9pm during eastern daylight saving and 9am–8pm otherwise covers 7am–6pm in Perth. Re-edit on 4 April 2027 and 3 October 2027.
    • Fix it. Open a new AWST account under your own Google login, after exporting keywords, search terms and negative lists, then rebuild conversions and relink GA4.

WA licence and registration numbers in electrical, plumbing and building ads

Construction is 17.3% of WA's small businesses (SBDC), and three WA rules put a number into their advertising. Each covers "any advertisement" or names websites, so treat search ads as covered too. A summary, not legal advice; confirm wording for your licence class with Building and Energy.

WA licence and registration numbers in Google Ads (Building and Energy and WA legislation, checked 7 Oct 2026; a summary, not legal advice)
WhoNumber and rulePenalty statedWhere it goes in the ad
Electrical contractorsEC number; Reg 45(1), Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991Not given in the guidelinePinned description line, plus a callout
Plumbing contractors and permit holdersLicence or permit number; Reg 25, Plumbers Licensing and Plumbing Standards Regulations 2000$2,000Pinned description line, plus a callout
Builders, painters, building surveyorsRegistration number; s 8, Building Services (Registration) Act 2011Up to $25,000Same, plus your Business Profile description (Perth SEO)

Make it show on every impression. Callouts and sitelinks don't appear every time. A responsive search ad description allows 90 characters, so "Licensed plumber, PL" then your digits fits with room for an offer. Pin that description to position 1 so every version of the ad carries it. Ad strength drops when you pin; accept the trade.

Calls count too. Add a call asset with call tracking, so a booked job traces back to its keyword.

After the click. The landing page should repeat the number near the call button; that build is covered on Perth tradie websites. Our drafts use a placeholder, never a sample of a real number.

No "Google Guaranteed" badge here. Local Services Ads aren't offered in Australia: Google's country list names 11 countries, none of them Australia.

Send your trade, suburbs and licence number for three draft ads

Rules for clinics, NDIS providers, migration agents and finance sit on the national Google Ads page.

Targeting Greater Perth and Peel by corridor, postcode and radius

A plumber in Clarkson and one in Rockingham work opposite ends of the metro, yet a citywide campaign treats them alike. Splitting by corridor lets each one carry its own budget, suburb names and travel-time promise.

  • Six corridors that behave differently

    • North: Joondalup, Wanneroo, Clarkson, Alkimos, Yanchep
    • South and Peel: Rockingham, Baldivis, Mandurah
    • East: Midland, Ellenbrook, Brabham
    • South-east: Armadale, Byford
    • Western suburbs: Subiaco, Claremont, Cottesloe
    • Industrial and B2B: Osborne Park, Malaga, Welshpool, Kewdale, Canning Vale, Bibra Lake, Henderson

Where travel time or pricing differs, give each corridor its own campaign or ad group.

  • New estates in the north and east

ABS figures for 2024–25 put Alkimos–Eglinton up 13%, Brabham–Henley Brook up 12% and Baldivis–North up 11%. New houses need fencing, landscaping, air-conditioning, solar and blinds, so a small campaign naming those suburbs can pay its way.

  • ‘In or regularly in’ versus ‘shown interest’

Google can target people in or regularly in a place, or people who've shown interest in it (location targeting help).

    • In or regularly in suits most trades: the customer must be where the work is.
    • Shown interest can work for removalists and property management, where east-coast movers are real prospects; for a plumber it wastes clicks.
    • FIFO workers are the grey area: on site in the Pilbara they search from there. Test a separate campaign rather than assume.
  • Radius, postcode and regional WA

A radius can be as small as 1 km (radius help), and postcodes can be targeted one by one. Give regional towns such as Bunbury, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Karratha their own campaigns; one statewide radius lets Perth searches swallow the budget.

Premier Partner, ‘6X ROI’ and 60-day guarantees: reading a Perth PPC agency’s claims

Perth's ranking pages lean on badges, multiples and promises. Each can be checked, and these questions work on any provider, us included.

  • Google doesn’t use or endorse an agency

Partner badges reflect an agency's managed spend, optimisation score and certified staff; Premier status means ranking in the top 3% of Partners in Australia each year on spend, client growth and retention. None of it measures your account's results. Codingclave holds neither badge.

  • How to read a ‘work for free’ guarantee

Dilate promises results after 60 days or free work until it gets them. That covers the management fee; your ad spend is still paid. The agency also chooses which clients qualify and agrees the target. Ask for the written target, the baseline and who controls the tracking that decides it. No agency, Codingclave included, can honestly guarantee leads: a budget buys clicks, and enquiries depend on the offer, the landing page and that month's market.

  • What sits behind ‘6X ROI’ or ‘6.7 ROAS’

Dilate quotes a 6X average ROI; AIML Digital an average ROAS of 6.7. Neither publishes a method. Ask: revenue or profit, which conversions, which period, which clients?

  • AdWords management is the old name

Google AdWords became Google Ads on 24 July 2018, and adwords.google.com became ads.google.com. A Perth page still titled "AdWords" tells you when its copy was last rethought, not how good the service is.

Google Ads freelancer, specialist or Perth agency: who should run your account

A PPC agency is anyone paid to run pay-per-click accounts, whatever it calls itself. The fee is flat, a percentage of spend or a mix; Perth figures are in the fee table above.

  • When a Perth agency will run your ads better

    • You want workshops in a room with your team.
    • You value a Premier Partner's access to Google representatives.
    • You're buying TV, radio or outdoor alongside search and want one planner.
  • When your budget is under about A$1,000 a month

A fee from A$990 would eat too much of what's left for clicks. A low-fee consultant (one in Joondalup prints $400 a month) or running the account yourself after a one-off build may suit better. Want us for the build only? Ask for that scope in writing.

  • Where a remote specialist fits

We suit Perth businesses spending about A$1,000 to A$10,000 or more a month, mostly on search, who want calls and enquiries, the fee in print and the work visible in their own account.

  • The map pack is a separate contest

The map pins go to businesses with a Perth address. We won't set up a virtual address or stuff keywords into your business name; our work goes into your own Business Profile, linked to Ads as a location asset. Organic and map work is on SEO for Perth businesses.

How a Perth account is run from Lucknow, and what stays yours if you leave

  • Your afternoon, our working day

We work 12:30pm–9:30pm AWST, Monday to Saturday: 4.5 hours shared with a 9am–5pm Perth day, the widest overlap of any Australian capital. Search terms and negatives are worked in your afternoon, and edits sit in change history by morning. WhatsApp is answered until 9:30pm Perth time. The wider working-day overlap is set out on the Perth overview.

  • What stays in your name

    • The account, under your Google login, with Admin access
    • Billing, on your card
    • Conversion actions and the Google tag, in your own GA4
    • Ads, negative lists and change history, which stay put when our access is removed
    • Any AWST rebuild, opened under your login, not ours

Switching from an agency? If it opened the account under its own login, ask it to give your Google login Admin access before you give notice. Otherwise the history can leave with it.

How much do Google Ads agencies in Perth charge, on top of ad spend?

Few Perth agencies say. Of the nine page-one results we checked on 7 October 2026, only Harmonised in Joondalup shows a figure, $400 a month, and only in its page title. Australia-wide, Digital Nomads HQ puts management at A$800–A$2,000 a month or 10–20% of spend. Ad spend is extra: Loaded suggests $1,500–$3,000 and PWD $3,000–$20,000, with 10% GST added by Google. Our fee sits between A$990 and A$9,800 a month by scope. With any quote, ask what's included, whether GST is extra and what the term is.

Is A$10 a day enough to advertise on Google in Perth?

Only as a test. A$10 a day spends at most A$304 a month: about 17 "service + Perth" clicks at the A$18.06 median, too few to judge an ad or landing page. Narrow suburb-and-job searches stretch it, as they often cost less. A fee from A$990 would exceed that spend, so run it yourself or ask about a one-off build.

What ad agency does Google use, and how do I check a Perth agency's Partner badge?

Google doesn't use or endorse any agency for advertisers. A Partner badge means an agency met Google's thresholds for managed spend, optimisation score and certified staff, and Premier Partners are the top 3% of Partners in the country each year. Both describe the agency, not how your account will perform. Look the agency up on Google's Partners directory to confirm the claim. Codingclave isn't a Google Partner.

Can a Google Ads agency guarantee leads in Perth?

No one can honestly promise a number of leads, Codingclave included. Spend buys clicks; enquiries depend on your offer, landing page, prices and that month's competition. Read guarantees closely: Dilate's 60-day "work for free" promise waives its fee until an agreed target is met, but your ad spend is still paid and the agency picks which clients qualify. What can be put in writing is the fee, the term, the reporting and who owns the account.

Is there a lock-in, and who owns the Google Ads account if I leave?

Loaded, Distl, Dilate and Harmonised all promote no lock-in, and we work month-to-month, with the term and notice confirmed in writing before you sign. Ownership matters more than term. The account should sit under your Google login with Admin access, billed to your card, with conversion actions and history in your name. If an agency opened the account under its own login, ask for Admin access on yours before you give notice.

Google Ads freelancer, specialist or Perth agency: which suits a Perth trade or clinic?

Budget decides most of it. Under about A$1,000 of monthly spend, a A$990 fee would rival the clicks, so the Joondalup consultant who prints $400 a month, or a one-off set-up you run yourself, makes more sense. A Premier Partner shop such as PWD or Dilate suits multi-channel budgets and in-person workshops. In between, a specialist can earn its fee: our starting fee is 33% of A$3,000 of spend and about 20% of A$5,000. Search work needs no Perth desk: every change shows in your account.

Do I need my WA licence or registration number in my Google Ads?

For WA electrical, plumbing and building businesses, very likely yes. Electrical contractors must show the EC number in any advertisement, plumbing contractors their licence or permit number ($2,000 fine), and builders, painters and building surveyors their registration number (up to $25,000). Pin it in a description line so every ad carries it. A summary, not legal advice.

Can I change my Google Ads account time zone to Perth?

Not in a standard account. Google no longer supports the change, so AWST means a new account, and the old history stays behind. Until you rebuild, a Sydney-time account resets its budget at 9pm Perth time during eastern daylight saving, and schedules follow that clock. The workaround is shifting your schedule by the gap and re-editing it at each daylight-saving change.
