Overview

Month-to-month is offered, with the term confirmed in writing before you sign. Coast agencies that publish a fee ask $1,000–$3,000 a month, and the only full price grid adds a $2,000–$2,500 setup fee and a three-month minimum. We work remotely from Lucknow, India, through Queensland afternoons and evenings.

Quick answer

What will a Gold Coast Google Ads agency cost me in the first three months?

Add up fees before any ad spend. iOnline's Start Up is a $2,000 setup plus three months at $1,000: $5,000 ex GST, or $5,500 with GST. The Falcon starts from $1,370 a month, so $4,110 a quarter. Digital Nomads HQ starts around $1,000, roughly $3,000. Pivotal, Marketing One and Thrive print no figure. Our band opens at A$990, so from A$2,970, with any one-off charge shown in your written quote. Then add Google's bill: A$1,500 a month of clicks is A$4,500 plus A$450 GST over the quarter. Whoever you hire, the account should stay yours.

  • iOnline prints the Coast's only full Ads price grid, ex GST, with a three-month minimum
  • Clicks are a second bill, from Google, plus 10% GST on an Australian business account
  • Pivotal and Marketing One state no lock-in; iOnline and Thrive state three months
  • Nobody can guarantee you leads, clicks or ad rankings, us included

Gold Coast PPC fees as each agency publishes them (read 7 Oct 2026)

As of 7 October 2026, Gold Coast-ranking agencies that publish a Google Ads management fee charge $1,000–$3,000 a month. iOnline in Nerang is the only one with a full grid, adding a $2,000–$2,500 setup fee and a three-month minimum, so its entry plan costs $5,000 ex GST in fees over 90 days before any ad spend.

Call it a PPC agency, a Google Ads specialist or a consultant: these are the terms to compare. We read each provider's own Gold Coast page; two rows come from the betteragencies.com.au shortlist (updated August 2026), marked "as reported". Figures are Australian dollars, GST as each provider states it.

What the table shows. A Coast address doesn't set the price: two of these firms work from Mooloolaba and Brisbane City. Spend caps push growing accounts up a tier. A blank price cell means a sales call, so arrive with the 90-day sums below.

Send your current agency's invoice or terms and we'll lay them beside this table.

Your first 90 days on Google Ads: fees, spend and GST added up

Rows assume A$1,500 a month of ad spend, with a second fee column at A$3,000. A$4,500 over the quarter plus the A$450 GST Google adds for an Australian business address means A$4,950 goes to Google. A campaign can spend up to twice its daily average on a busy day but no more than 30.4 times it in a month. Smaller budgets: see budget and minimums.

Ask every provider for an inc-GST quarter total. At A$1,500 of spend our floor sits about A$30 under Digital Nomads HQ's entry figure and A$2,030 under iOnline's Start Up, mostly its setup fee. At that level, terms decide it: who owns the account, and what leaving in month two costs. Landing pages are separate: see Gold Coast website and landing-page builds.

Search, Shopping, Performance Max, remarketing or YouTube on the Coast

Search does most of the work for Coast trades and clinics; the other types earn a place once tracking is proven. Benchmarks and set-up detail sit under campaign types on our national page.

Campaign types and where they fit a Gold Coast business (starting advice, not results)

ShoppingRetailers with a clean Shopify or WooCommerce feedThe feed lacks prices, GTINs or stock levels

Remarketing (Display)Tours and accommodation: interstate trip-planners compare for weeksEarly trade accounts; a burst pipe needs no reminder

Local Services Ads. One Gold Coast page sells "Local Services Ads (Google Guaranteed)". On Google's country list for that product, read 7 Oct 2026, Australia wasn't included, so ask which product a quote means.

Presence or interest? Location settings for Gold Coast trades, clinics and tourism

New campaigns default to Presence or interest: people in or regularly in your area, plus people who've shown interest in it. Presence keeps only people in or regularly in your chosen places, and exclusions always use presence. Google says Travel, Real Estate and Education advertisers switching to Presence or interest saw 5% more search conversions (internal data, 2022).

The Coast drew 14.7 million visitors in the year to March 2026, 2.2 million of them interstate overnight. Leave a Pimpama plumber on the default and Sydney holiday-planners can click. New Zealand, the largest international market (a record 223,000), suits a separate tour campaign with prices marked AUD.

Four suburb clusters, and the setting each one affects

Planning example using city-level targets from Google's geotarget file (12 August 2026):

  • Northern corridor: Ormeau, Pimpama, Coomera, Upper Coomera and Helensvale are separate targets, so trades can bid suburb by suburb.
  • Central: Southport, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Robina, Varsity Lakes. Presence still counts visitors staying here; read the location report.
  • South: Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Coolangatta. Currumbin has no target; use Currumbin Waters or postcode 4223.
  • Hinterland: Nerang and Mudgeeraba, often paired with a radius.

Tweed Heads ad schedules: the daylight-saving hour

Ad schedules run on the account's time zone, not the searcher's, and a standard account's time zone is fixed at set-up. At the Coolangatta–Tweed border that means a one-hour error for half the year.

  • The one-hour shift

NSW daylight saving runs 4 Oct 2026 to 4 Apr 2027. In a Brisbane-time account, a weekday 7:00am–6:00pm schedule serves 8:00am–7:00pm by Tweed Heads clocks. To serve 7am–6pm NSW time, set 6:00am–5:00pm, revert after 4 April and shift again in October 2027. A Sydney-time account has the reverse problem with Queensland customers.

  • Add or exclude NSW locations on purpose

Google lists Tweed Heads, Tweed Heads South, Tweed Heads West, Banora Point and Kingscliff as NSW targets, separate from Gold Coast, Queensland. There's no Tweed Shire entry; postcode targets fill it, 2485–2487 near the border out to 2484 (Murwillumbah) and 2489 (Pottsville). Cross-border firms split campaigns by state or accept the hour.

First campaign and click costs by Gold Coast industry (ABS counts, June 2025)

The City of Gold Coast held 83,266 actively trading businesses at 30 June 2025 (ABS), about 63% with no employees. Most are owner-run, so whoever reads the report usually pays the bill; we write it for them.

Click costs. Digital Nomads HQ's Gold Coast page puts clicks at $2–$4 in low-competition niches and $40+ in legal, finance, cosmetic medical and high-ticket trades. Its national cost guide has no Gold Coast "service + city" median; Brisbane is A$18.75 and the Sunshine Coast A$14.85 (May 2026). We found no Gold Coast median published (checked 7 Oct 2026) and won't invent one; see our 2026 CPC tables.

If your Gold Coast agency closes, collapses or you leave: who owns your Ads account

Agencies close, merge or get sold, on the Coast as anywhere. If the account, billing and tags sit with you, a closure costs days, not your history. Thrive's FAQ says clients own the account and can take over after the minimum term; get the same from whoever you hire.

Guarantees, Partner badges, the map pack and a remote manager: what to weigh

  • What a 90-day guarantee usually covers

The Falcon's headline promises more customers in under 90 days or up to a month of free work. Its FAQ terms: without "verified new customer enquiries" within 90 days of launch, it works up to a month at no extra cost, plus a 30-day risk-free window at the start. That's labour, not money back, and "verified" isn't defined. Ask how enquiries are counted and who controls tracking.

  • What ad agency does Google use? None for you

Google assigns advertisers no in-house agency; you run the account or appoint someone, Partner or not. The badge reflects spend under management, optimisation scores and certifications, not your cost per enquiry. We don't hold one; our vetting questions suit any provider.

  • What you get every month instead of a guarantee

    • Calls and forms test-fired before a dollar is spent
    • Search terms read and wasted clicks blocked on your scope's schedule
    • A cost-per-enquiry report from your own Ads and GA4 data
    • A WhatsApp summary of what changed

Rival bids, landing pages and offers all move results, so no one can guarantee leads, clicks or ad rankings, us included.

  • When edits go live, by Queensland clock

We work 2:30pm–11:30pm Queensland time, Monday to Saturday, year-round, leaving two and a half hours of your 9-to-5 for calls. Trade and clinic edits go live after you close. For tours and accommodation, evenings are booking time, so edits wait for the early-morning lull or an automated rule. Your team still takes calls; instant replies to ad enquiries cover after hours.

  • The Google map pack

On 6 Oct 2026 the three map results for this search were firms with verified Gold Coast addresses; the pack turns on address and profile, not Ads skill. We have no address here, so any Business Profile work is on your profile; Gold Coast SEO covers Maps.

  • When to hire an Ads manager down the road instead

Pick a nearby firm for workshops at one table or a crew filming YouTube or Performance Max assets at your venue. Tracked leads and less waste happen inside the account, wherever the manager sits.

  • Proof you can check

Codingclave has been founder-led since Ashish Sharma started it in 2017: ★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews), 200+ projects since 2017, Top Rated on Upwork (reviews, about). With no Partner badge or Gold Coast case studies, the first month is the test: tracking proven before spend, then a report you can check.

Ask Ashish directly

Ask on WhatsApp

How much should I pay someone to manage my Google Ads on the Gold Coast?

Providers' own pages put Gold Coast management from around $1,000 a month (Digital Nomads HQ, iOnline's Start Up) up to $3,000 ex GST for iOnline's top tier. A directory reports one Surfers Paradise firm at $349, unconfirmed on its own site. Our band is A$990–A$9,800 a month. Compare first-quarter totals, because setup fees and minimum terms change the answer.

Do I have to sign a lock-in contract for Google Ads on the Gold Coast?

Not always. Pivotal and Marketing One say they don't lock clients in, and a directory reports the same for Search Marketing Specialists. iOnline and Thrive set a three-month minimum. The Falcon and Digital Nomads HQ don't state a term, so ask. Either way, get the notice period and account ownership into the agreement. We offer month-to-month, with term and notice confirmed in writing before you sign.

Is $10 a day enough to run Google Ads for a Gold Coast business?

As a test, yes; as a steady lead source, rarely. iOnline's Gold Coast FAQ says $10 a day won't be enough for most Coast businesses and suggests at least $1,000 a month. At the nearest published medians, A$18.75 in Brisbane and A$14.85 on the Sunshine Coast, ten dollars a day buys roughly 16 to 20 clicks a month. That shows which terms trigger your ads and proves tracking, but can't settle cost per enquiry.

What does a Google Ads specialist do each month on a Gold Coast account?

Reads the search terms your ads showed for and blocks waste, adjusts bids and budgets against cost per enquiry, tests copy and sitelinks, and checks location and schedule settings, including the Tweed hour in NSW daylight saving. They should confirm tracking still fires, stage copy before school holidays and send a short report of spend, enquiries and cost per enquiry from your own data. If they can't show what changed last month, ask why.

Do I need a Gold Coast-based agency to run my Google Ads?

No. Two pages ranking for this search belong to agencies in Mooloolaba and Brisbane City, and the settings that drive your costs (location option, schedule, negatives, tracking) are all made online. Judge providers on account ownership, tested tracking and how they'd target your suburbs. Pick a Coast firm if face-to-face meetings or on-site video shoots matter.

Should a Gold Coast tour operator target people in Sydney and Melbourne?

Usually, yes. The Coast had 2.2 million interstate overnight visitors in the year to March 2026, and many plan from home. Use Presence or interest, or add Sydney and Melbourne as locations; Google reports 5% more search conversions for travel advertisers switching from Presence. Test it against a Presence campaign for a month, counting booking click-outs. Meta ads reach people not yet searching, so trial them on a separate budget.

What happens to my Google Ads account if my Gold Coast agency closes?

If your email holds Admin access and billing runs on your card, very little: remove the agency's manager link and carry on with campaigns, history and conversion data intact. If the agency owned the account or billing profile, contact Google Ads support with proof of your business, and expect it to take time. Run the ownership checks above today.
