Overview
Brisbane designers publish $2,000–7,000 for a 5–10 page small-business site. We're an India-based team with no Australian office, founder-led since 2017, and because Queensland has no daylight saving, our day overlaps yours from 2:30pm to 5pm all year.

Website design prices in Brisbane: published market ranges next to our quote
The market column shows one published Brisbane figure per row, with the publisher beside it. Our column is the range a fixed quote falls in, excluding GST.
| Site type | Brisbane market (published) | Our fixed quote | Timeline: market vs ours |
|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress site, 5–8 pages | $2,500–5,500 templated (Chillybin) | A$900–A$4,300 | 3–6 weeks (Chillybin) vs 1–2 weeks |
| Small-business site, 5–10 pages | $2,000–6,000 (What's The Damage) | A$1,200–A$6,900 | 2–3 weeks if content is ready (White Peak Digital) vs 1–3 weeks |
| Custom-designed or lead-gen site, 10+ pages | $6,000–15,000 (What's The Damage) | Upper part of A$1,200–A$6,900; integrations quoted separately | 8–16 weeks (Chillybin) vs 1–3 weeks once content is ready |
| Online store | $5,000–60,000+ (What's The Damage) | A$2,400–A$19,500 | Not published vs 2–6 weeks |
| Web app or portal | $20,000–80,000+ (Chillybin) | A$9,800–A$98,000 | Not published vs 6–16 weeks |
| Mobile app, iOS + Android | Not published by the Brisbane guides we checked | A$6,900–A$43,000 | Not published vs 4–12 weeks |
| Hosting | $20–80 a month (Chillybin) | A$80–A$240 a month, with backups and support | Ongoing |
Market prices checked 6 Oct 2026. Chillybin's guide was last updated 17 May 2026, What's The Damage says its prices were verified in October 2026, and Brisbane SEO Expert published on 27 April 2026.
More published figures. Brisbane SEO Expert gives $3,000–7,000 for a 5–10 page service-business site and $6,000–12,000 for a 10+ page lead-generation site. Scorched Media's WordPress packages start at $1,250 for five pages and $1,800 for a small-business site (checked Oct 2026). For online stores, Chillybin puts WooCommerce at $8,000–12,000 for a straightforward catalogue and $30,000+ for complex builds.
Where a quote lands in the range. Page count, custom design versus a template, who supplies the copy and photos, and integrations such as bookings or payments move a Brisbane quote most. Five WordPress pages with your own text sit near the bottom. More pages, custom sections, and forms or bookings that connect to your other tools move it up.
Why our price is lower, and what stays the same. The gap comes from our costs in India, not from cutting deliverables, and your enquiry comes to us directly rather than through a lead broker. A quote still covers a written scope, a mobile layout, on-page SEO basics, a staging site to review, and accounts and code handed over at launch. See finished projects and our Google reviews before you ask.
Compare every quote ex-GST. If your business is GST-registered, GST charged by an Australian supplier may be claimable as a credit; your accountant can confirm. National figures are on how much a website costs in Australia.

What a fixed AUD quote should spell out: a checklist for any Brisbane quote
A fixed AUD quote is a written scope (pages, platform, content, revision rounds and milestones) with one total price in Australian dollars, agreed before work starts. From a Brisbane freelancer, an agency or us, check that it covers these seven points before you pay a deposit.
7 questions to ask
- The page list and page count.
- The platform, and who hosts it.
- Who writes the copy and supplies the photos (Brisbane SEO Expert gives $1,500–3,500 for copywriting 8–10 pages and $500–1,200 for a half-day photo shoot).
- How many revision rounds are included.
- What counts as a change request, and how it is priced before any work starts.
- Payment milestones tied to deliverables, never 100% up front.
- What you receive at launch: accounts, code, copyright, training and support terms.
How our quote covers the list. The scope names every page, the platform, who supplies content, the revision rounds and the payment milestones, each tied to something you can review, such as approved designs or a working staging site. A change request is priced in writing before we start it. The milestone split and payment methods for your project are written into the quote you sign.
Per-page prices hide the set-up. Some buyers search for a per-page rate. Scorched Media's $1,250 five-page package works out to about $250 a page, but most of the cost of a small site is design, set-up and forms, which don't scale with pages. Ask for the total.
Which pages a small business needs. Home, Services (or one page per service), About and Contact, plus a Privacy page if you collect enquiries. A Brisbane CBD practice often needs fewer pages than a trade covering the Northside and Southside. If you also work across Ipswich, Logan and Moreton Bay, add an area page only when it says something specific, such as travel fees or jobs done there: Google's spam policies warn against near-identical pages for each city or suburb.

What a Brisbane website costs over three years, not just at launch
The build is only the first bill. Brisbane price pages list monthly hosting and maintenance, or White Peak Digital's 'about $1,000 a year', but none we read adds them up over several years. Here is a three-year total for a six-to-eight page service-business site, using Chillybin's Brisbane ranges.
| Cost item | Typical Brisbane market | With us |
|---|---|---|
| Build | $2,500–5,500 templated WordPress (Chillybin) | A$900–A$4,300 WordPress, or A$1,200–A$6,900 custom |
| Hosting, 36 months | $720–2,880 at $20–80 a month (Chillybin) | Included in the support plan |
| Maintenance or support, 36 months | $5,400–18,000 at $150–500 a month (Chillybin) | A$2,880–A$8,640 at A$80–A$240 a month |
| Domain, 3 years | $45–120 at $15–40 a year (Chillybin) | The same, paid by you to your registrar |
| 3-year total | $8,665–26,500 | A$3,825–A$13,060 (WordPress) or A$4,125–A$15,660 (custom) |
Why our minimum is above bare hosting. A$80 a month is more than the $20–80 Chillybin gives for hosting alone, because it also covers backups, monitoring, updates and fixes. Compare it with hosting plus maintenance. Already have a site someone else built? Send the address and we quote support after checking it.
The caveat. The market rows assume a paid maintenance plan; if you update plugins yourself, both columns fall. White Peak's 'from $2,500 plus about $1,000 a year' comes to roughly $5,500 over three years. Search rankings are separate spend (SEO after launch).

Queensland time: a 2.5-hour overlap with your day, all year
Queensland trialled daylight saving in 1971–72 and again from 1989 to 1992, and voters rejected it at a referendum in February 1992 (ABC News). It stays on AEST all year. We work Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00 India time, which is 2:30pm to 11:30pm AEST in Brisbane every week of the year. Against a 9-to-5 day, that leaves 2.5 hours, 2:30pm to 5pm, for live calls. From October to April, Sydney and Melbourne drop to 1.5 hours, so for half the year Brisbane gets a longer window than the southern capitals.
We don't keep your office hours, and we don't pretend to. Wherever you are in Brisbane, the process is the same, and it's remote.
Your morning: send feedback
Send comments or photos on WhatsApp whenever it suits you. We start at 2:30pm your time and work through your list first, so feedback sent at breakfast can be worked on the same evening.
2:30pm to 5pm: calls and decisions
Video calls, screen-shares and anything that needs your yes or no, while you're still at work.
5pm to 11:30pm: we build while you’re off the clock
Work carries on after your day ends. The evening closes with a written update and, once there's something to see, a staging link.
Next morning: review real progress
Open the staging site over coffee and reply when it suits you. Each day's changes are there to check before your working day starts.
Saturday: a weekend window
We work Saturdays India time: Saturday afternoon and evening in Brisbane, for owners who do the website at weekends.
| Where you are | Our hours (your time) | Overlap with 9–5 |
|---|---|---|
| Brisbane (AEST, all year) | 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST | 2.5 h, 2:30pm–5pm |
| Gold Coast (AEST, all year) | 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST | 2.5 h, 2:30pm–5pm |
| Sydney / Melbourne, until 4 Apr 2027 | 3:30pm–12:30am AEDT | 1.5 h, 3:30pm–5pm |
| Sydney / Melbourne, from 5 Apr 2027 | 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST | 2.5 h, 2:30pm–5pm |
| Adelaide, until 4 Apr 2027 | 3:00pm–12:00am ACDT | 2 h, 3pm–5pm |
| Perth (AWST, all year) | 12:30pm–9:30pm AWST | 4.5 h, 12:30pm–5pm |
The Gold Coast shares Brisbane's time zone, so its overlap is identical. Sydney and Melbourne are shown for comparison only.

Brisbane agency, freelancer, quote broker or offshore team: the trade-offs
Who we are: an India-based team, founder-led by Ashish Sharma since 2017, working with Australian businesses over WhatsApp, email and video (how that works). Chillybin lists offshore rates of $20–40 an hour; the controls below matter more than the rate.
| Option | Published Brisbane price | Good fit when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brisbane freelancer | $1,500–5,000 a site (Brisbane SEO Expert) | A small site, one person end to end | Depends on one person's availability |
| Boutique Brisbane agency | $5,000–15,000 (Brisbane SEO Expert) | You want meetings in person and a team | Higher price; quotes often only after a discovery call |
| Large agency | $15,000–30,000+ for SMEs (White Peak Digital) | Brand, SEO and ads under one roof | Cost; check who holds the domain and code under a monthly plan |
| Quote-broker site | Free to you; the site passes leads to agencies | You want several calls fast | Your details go to agencies the site matches you with |
| Codingclave (offshore team) | A$900–A$6,900 for most sites | Fixed budget, written scope, happy with WhatsApp and video | No Australian office, ABN or phone; 2.5-hour live overlap |
What lowers the risk. A fixed written scope, milestone payments, a staging link to review before launch, accounts in your business name, and the code and copyright handed over in writing. Ask anyone you hire for the same. Our record: 200+ projects since 2017 (our work), 4.9 on Google from 76 reviews (reviews) and Top Rated on Upwork.
When someone else is the better choice. Hire in Brisbane if you want face-to-face workshops or on-site photography, if your procurement rules require an Australian ABN holder, or if you want one provider running ongoing SEO and Google Ads strategy as well. Chillybin's hourly figures are a useful yardstick: $60–100 for a freelancer and $120–180 for a mid-tier agency.

Who owns your domain, hosting, code and copyright after launch
None of the Brisbane price guides we read says who holds the domain, hosting and code once the site is live. Check each of these before you sign, with any provider.
Domain: in your business’s name
Your domain, including a .com.au, is registered in your business's name on your own registrar account, not ours; we can set it up with you. auDA says a com.au is for businesses with a connection to Australia, shown with an ABN, ACN or Australian trade mark, and the name must connect to your business. Renewals never depend on us.
Hosting: yours, or a written handover
On your own plan, the account is yours. If we host under the support plan, how it moves to you is confirmed in writing before you sign.
Google accounts: under your login
Analytics, Search Console and your Google Business Profile sit under your own Google account, with us added as a user you can remove.
Code and copyright: a copy is not ownership
At launch you get full admin access and the source code (WordPress theme, custom plugins or Next.js repository). Having the code is not the same as owning it: under Australian law the person who creates a commissioned work usually owns the copyright, and an assignment only counts if it is in writing and signed (The Law Handbook). Ask any provider for that assignment. We set out ownership terms in your written quote before you sign. Premium plugins and stock photos stay under their own licences.
After launch: support is optional
Support at A$80–A$240 a month covers hosting, backups, updates and fixes. What is included after launch, and how to end the plan, are written into your quote. Your domain, code and accounts stay with you either way.

Which platform should your Brisbane website run on?
Start with who will edit the site once it is live, and what it has to do:
- You edit pages yourself: WordPress, A$900–A$4,300; plugins and security patches need regular updates.
- Speed and a custom design built to win enquiries: Next.js, A$1,200–A$6,900, with a CMS added to the scope if you will change content.
- You sell products: Shopify for a quick launch, or WooCommerce if you already run WordPress, both A$2,400–A$19,500. Store prices and delivery zones are on ecommerce website design Brisbane.
- Bookings, logins or a portal: custom software, A$9,800–A$98,000, built in phases.

Need an app as well as a website?
Our business websites already include mobile layouts, so an app pays off only when customers will open it again and again, not once to find your phone number. Ours costs A$6,900–A$43,000 over 4–12 weeks for one Flutter or React Native build on the App Store and Google Play, with both developer accounts in your business's name; user roles, payments and an admin panel move the figure up. Upkeep runs at 15–25% of the build cost a year, says Appetiser (updated Jun 2026).
For national figures, see app development cost in Australia; to weigh local quotes, read what Brisbane app developers charge, set against our fixed app price.

GST, tax and privacy: three things to check before you sign
General information, not tax or legal advice.
GST on a website from an overseas developer
We are an overseas supplier, not registered for Australian GST, and our prices exclude GST. The ATO says a GST-registered business importing services should not be charged GST once it gives the supplier its ABN and confirms it is registered. The reverse charge may apply if your business would not get a full GST credit, such as one making input-taxed supplies. Ask your accountant.
Is website design tax deductible?
Ask your accountant how website costs are treated for your business. We don't give tax advice.
Privacy and your contact form
The OAIC says most businesses with annual turnover of $3 million or less are not covered by the Privacy Act, but health-service providers that hold health information are. We build forms that collect only what you need, plus a privacy policy page. See allied health websites and NDIS website design.

Your quote is one figure inside the range, and it lists the outside costs before you sign: copywriting if you need it, a Brisbane photographer for on-site shoots, premium plugins or themes (with any licence fee named), business email such as Google Workspace, Shopify plans, payment-gateway fees and app-store accounts. You pay those providers directly. Change requests are priced in writing before any work on them starts.
