Quick answer
How much does website design cost in Albury–Wodonga?
Expect about $3,500–$5,000 as the starting point at a Border studio: MJ Digital's Basic tier is $3,500–$5,000, BEAL Creative's Standard site starts at $3,990 and Digital Marketer Bee's QuickBuild at $5,000. Designed-from-scratch work starts at $15,000 (DMB Beespoke), and Plus Creative's brand-plus-website packages run $10,000–$40,000 + GST. Apex charges $275 a month with no published build fee, which adds up to $9,900 over three years, and Jezweb, a Newcastle firm selling remotely, lists a $990 + GST site plus a monthly fee. Four providers quote only. Our WordPress band is A$900–A$4,300, with both states' licence lines included and your figure fixed in writing before you sign.
- Every figure checked 6 Oct 2026 and linked to its source
- Only Jezweb and Plus Creative state a GST basis (both ex GST)
- Monthly fees shape a three-year total more than the build price
- Quote in hand or not, you can get an itemised AUD price

Albury–Wodonga web design prices: 10 Border providers, GST basis and build times (6 Oct 2026)
BEAL Creative's 'Top 5' article ranks five Albury web designers without a single figure, not even BEAL's own, and Localsearch lists 54 firms with no prices. So on 6 October 2026 we recorded what each provider publishes: price, inclusions, build time, monthly cost after launch and GST basis.
| Provider (where, as published) | Website price as published | What the price covers | Stated build time | Running cost after launch | GST basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MJ Digital (Albury NSW) | Basic from $3,500–$5,000; Standard from $5,000–$7,000; Advanced from $7,500+ | Training and handover on every tier; sitemap submission listed from Standard; quote after scoping | Not published | Not published | Not stated |
| Digital Marketer Bee (499 Kiewa St, Albury) | QuickBuild from $5,000; Beespoke from $15,000 | QuickBuild uses proven templates; Beespoke is designed from scratch; Web Care sold separately | QuickBuild about 4–6 weeks | Web Care $290, $450 or $550 a month (the Albury page says 'starts at $450', which conflicts with the $290 plan) | Not stated |
| BEAL Creative (411 Kiewa St, South Albury) | Standard from $3,990; Lead Magnet from $5,500; online stores from $7,500 | 3 months of marketing advice (up to 2 h a month); Lead Magnet adds custom design, copywriting, schema and a blog | 6–12 weeks | Hosting price not published | Not stated |
| Apex Designs (listed in BEAL's Albury top 5; no street address published) | Website plan $275 a month | Up to 5 pages, edits and maintenance, Australian hosting; +$200 per extra page, +$250 for a blog | Not published | The $275 is the whole published price | Not stated |
| Plus Creative (Albury) | Starter $10,000–$12,000; Mid $25,000; Top $40,000 | Brand plus website or Shopify, so not like-for-like | 3–4 / 5–8 / 8–12 weeks | Not published | Plus GST ('All + GST' on its home page) |
| Jezweb (Newcastle NSW, remote; Albury prices match Newcastle's) | Fleetpages $990; design-led WordPress from $3,000 | Fleetpages: designed site, domain and content stay yours; WordPress e-commerce adds $2,000 | Not published | Fleetpages $29 / $59 / $99 a month; WordPress hosting $50 or $100 a month | Excludes GST |
| ChookChook, Ashbury Studios, Wmedia, Albury Wodonga Creatives | Quote only | ChookChook: web plus IT support; Ashbury: brand-led, aerial; Wmedia: brand and drone; AWC: freelancer pool | Not published | Not published | Not stated |
| For comparison: Codingclave (Lucknow, India; works remotely) | WordPress A$900–A$4,300; business website A$1,200–A$6,900 | Itemised build for your page list, a licence field per state, a quote form | 1–2 / 1–3 weeks | Hosting and support A$80–A$240 a month | No GST added: overseas supplier, not registered for Australian GST; if you're GST-registered, ask your accountant about the reverse charge |
Hourly or fixed? None of the ten publishes an hourly rate; the closest unit price is Jezweb's $200 + GST per extra round of changes, and everyone else prices per project. Read the 'covers' column before the totals. National costs by site type are on what a website costs across Australia.
Holding one of these quotes? WhatsApp it to Ashish for a line-by-line price on the same scope, or use the form. No quote yet? Send your current site or a page list.

One market, two regulators: licence details a cross-river trade website must show
Construction is the largest business group on the Border: 1,805 of the 8,654 trading businesses. Many builders and trades take jobs on both banks of the Murray, which puts one website under two states' advertising rules. None of the ranking pages we checked mentions it.
Footer and contact page
Both numbers in the site-wide footer, each labelled with its state, beside the business name and phone number, so every page carries them.
Quote PDFs and quote-request forms
Victoria's s169H reaches written quotes as well as ads, so the quote template prints the registration number; showing both states' numbers saves sorting jobs by bank.
Schema
Markup naming Albury (New South Wales) and Wodonga (Victoria) as two separate served places, with each licence number attached.
| Rule | NSW (Albury side) | VIC (Wodonga side) |
|---|---|---|
| Regulator | NSW Fair Trading | Building and Plumbing Commission, which took over from the VBA on 1 July 2025 |
| When a licence or registration is needed | Advertising residential work over $5,000, or specialist work (electrical, plumbing, draining, gasfitting, air conditioning and refrigeration) of any value | Domestic building work over $10,000 (labour and materials) |
| What an ad must show | Licensee's name, licence number with the correct category of work, business phone number | Your name and registration number, clearly legible |
| Online and social media covered | Yes: internet ads, as well as print, TV and radio | Yes: online ads, social posts and written quotes (Building Act 1993 s169H, per a 2019 VBA notice; the BPC is now the regulator) |
| Source | NSW Government | MBAV summary of the VBA position; Consumer Affairs Victoria |
A summary, not legal advice; confirm your licence categories with each regulator. Send both numbers with your quote or brief and the footer, quote template and markup are built around them.

Paying $275 a month or owning the site: Border totals at 24 and 36 months
The build figure is only the first line of the bill. Below, each published build price is added to its published monthly fee over two and three years, next to whatever the provider says about leaving or owning the site.
| Option | Up front | Monthly | 24-month total | 36-month total | Exit or ownership terms as published |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apex Website plan | $0 published (ask about a set-up fee) | $275 | $6,600 | $9,900 | No minimum term, exit terms or ownership wording published |
| Jezweb Fleetpages, Workplace tier | $990 | $29 | $1,686 + GST | $2,034 + GST | Domain and content stay yours as portable files |
| Jezweb Fleetpages, Manager tier | $990 | $59 | $2,406 + GST | $3,114 + GST | As above |
| Jezweb design-led WordPress + $50 hosting | From $3,000 | $50 | $4,200 + GST | $4,800 + GST | Month to month on 30 days' notice; WooCommerce hosting ($150) has a 12-month minimum |
| DMB QuickBuild + Web Care Essential | $5,000 | $290 | $11,960 | $15,440 | No minimum term or exit terms published |
| DMB QuickBuild + Web Care Enhanced | $5,000 | $450 | $15,800 | $21,200 | As above |
| MJ Digital or BEAL Creative | From $3,500 or from $3,990 | Hosting not published | Build + your own hosting | Build + your own hosting | Not published |
| Codingclave WordPress + hosting and support | A$900–A$4,300 | A$80–A$240 | A$2,820–A$10,060 | A$3,780–A$12,940 | The .com.au registered to your ABN, logins handed over; minimum term, notice and export terms agreed in writing before you sign |
Formula: up-front price + (monthly fee × 24 or 36), on each provider's published GST basis. DMB's Web Care is paired with QuickBuild for illustration only. Domain renewals are left out.
Read the table both ways. If a $990 Fleetpages site does the job, it beats ours over three years and is a fair choice, and the top of our band passes Apex's 36-month total (that end is for larger sites with bookings). Ours fits when you want a WordPress site you can move to any host, quote forms that take drawings, and both states' licence lines built in.
Ask any provider: is there a minimum term, how much notice ends it, whose ABN holds the domain, and can I export the site if I leave? auDA only needs an Australian presence for a .com.au (an ABN, ACN, ARBN or Australian trade mark; no physical address), so your own ABN qualifies. Send the plan you're weighing for a 36-month comparison.

8,654 businesses across the river: what the ABS count says each sector needs online
In June 2025 the ABS counted 8,654 actively trading businesses across the Albury and Wodonga council areas (5,317 on the NSW bank, 3,337 on the VIC bank), 152 more (+1.8%) than a year earlier. For a website budget, the key figure: 60.2% employ nobody and just 266 have 20 or more staff, so a $3,500–$15,000 studio floor is often more site than the job needs.
| Industry | Albury | Wodonga | Combined | Website that usually fits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Construction | 1,017 | 788 | 1,805 | Trade site with both states' licence lines and a quote form |
| Rental, hiring and real estate | 596 | 347 | 943 | Agency site with listings |
| Health care and social assistance | 569 | 330 | 899 | Clinic, NDIS provider or dental site with booking and intake |
| Professional, scientific and technical | 554 | 275 | 829 | Small brochure site that leads with credentials |
| Transport, postal and warehousing | 379 | 196 | 575 | Quote and RFQ forms plus a coverage map |
| Other services (mechanics, hair and beauty) | 340 | 230 | 570 | Booking site |
| Agriculture, forestry and fishing | 263 | 211 | 474 | Services, seasons and a contact form |
| Retail trade | 282 | 185 | 467 | Online store alongside the shopfront |
| Accommodation and food services | 258 | 130 | 388 | Café or restaurant or motel and accommodation site |
| Manufacturing | 206 | 164 | 370 | Supplier site (next section) |
June 2024 to June 2025: health care rose from 811 to 899 businesses (+10.9%), transport from 542 to 575 (+6.1%), professional services 0.6%; construction held (+3). Retail slipped 1.3%, accommodation and food 1.8%, manufacturing 1.1%. The ABS randomly adjusts small cells, so treat small shifts as noise.

Selling to the Border’s distribution centres, plants and hospitals: what a supplier site needs
Manufacturing on the Border turns out $4.3 billion a year and employs 4,222 people; health care is the biggest employer with 9,807 jobs, 17% of the total (REMPLAN 2023, via Invest Albury Wodonga's manufacturing and health pages). Its big-business list includes the ATO's Albury centre (1,000+ staff), the Woolworths distribution centre (400+), Mars Petcare (in Wodonga since 1966), Ron Finemore Transport's head office, Visy, Geofabrics and Asahi. We have no connection with any of them.
A downloadable capability statement
One PDF on what you make or service, capacity, lead times and contacts, linked from the footer. Buyers forward it, so it must stand alone.
An RFQ form that takes files
Drawings, specs and photos uploaded with the request, plus quantity, required-by date and delivery town.
Certifications and insurances you actually hold
Only those on current certificates. A lapsed accreditation left on display does more damage than leaving it off.
A freight and service-area map
Where you deliver or service across both states, and how far beyond Albury–Wodonga you travel.
Once buyers need logins, order history or a supplier portal, the job is custom software rather than a website. If a driver or field app is on the list, app developers in Melbourne sets out what an app costs.

From Lavington to Baranduda: naming both sides of the river on your site
Most ranking Border studios say 'Albury' and stop, and both Kiewa St studios sit on the NSW bank. Customers search by their own suburb or town, on whichever side they live.
NSW side
Albury 2640, Lavington 2641, Thurgoona, Jindera 2642, and North, East, West and South Albury.
VIC side
Wodonga 3690, West Wodonga, Baranduda 3691, Bandiana 3694, Leneva and Yackandandah.
When a suburb earns its own page
Only when you have something from that place to show: jobs done there, different prices, on-site photos. Identical text with the suburb swapped is a doorway page; a service-area list on the contact page covers the rest.
Google Business Profile
Keep a profile only where you actually operate. Working out of Thurgoona and servicing Wodonga? Add Wodonga as a service area on that one listing.

Albury–Wodonga time zone and our hours: online from 3:30pm to past midnight, Border time
Albury runs on NSW time and Wodonga on Victorian time, and the two clocks always match: both moved to daylight saving (AEDT, UTC+11) on 4 October 2026 and both go back to AEST (UTC+10) on 4 April 2027. We work Monday to Saturday, 10:00–19:00 India time (UTC+5:30).
| Period | Border clock | Our hours on Border time | Overlap with a 9–5 day |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 Oct 2026–4 Apr 2027 | AEDT, UTC+11 (both cities) | 3:30pm–12:30am, Mon–Sat | 1.5 hours (3:30pm–5pm) |
| From 5 Apr 2027 | AEST, UTC+10 (both cities) | 2:30pm–11:30pm, Mon–Sat | 2.5 hours (2:30pm–5pm) |
An hour and a half of shared office time is short, and we won't pretend otherwise. If you're on site all day, though, our evening is your free time: a call at 4pm, changes sent from the ute at 7pm, work on them until 12:30am, progress on the test link by your next morning. Saturday is a full working day for us.

When a Border studio is the better call, and when a remote quote is worth a look
For some owners a studio down the road is the right answer, and it's better to say so here than after a deposit.
Pick a Border studio if...
You want face-to-face meetings or someone who can pop over (ChookChook also does IT support). You need on-site photography or aerial footage (Ashbury Studios is CASA-certified; Wmedia does drone work). You want brand and site together (Plus Creative). Or local reviews matter to you: Digital Marketer Bee shows 5.0 from 27 Google reviews, BEAL Creative 5.0 from 19. We can't offer that from Lucknow.
A remote quote makes sense if...
Your budget is roughly $1,000–$4,000, under most Border studio floors, or you want each line of a quote priced and a fixed timeline in writing.
Why our band starts lower, and what we can show you
Our costs sit in Lucknow, not on Dean Street, and every line is itemised so you can check a lower figure hasn't dropped a page, a form or the hosting. ★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews), 200+ projects since 2017, Top Rated on Upwork, founder-led delivery under Ashish Sharma. SEO company in Albury Wodonga: published retainers and what nobody can promise
Most Border marketing agencies quote SEO after a call. Two publish monthly figures, which makes them handy benchmarks for any proposal on your desk.
| Provider | Service | Published monthly fee |
|---|---|---|
| Apex Designs | SEO | $550 |
| BEAL Creative | SEO + AI search | From $450 |
| BEAL Creative | Google Ads management | From $500 |
| Apex Designs | Google Ads management | $250 for up to $1,000 of managed spend, no set-up fee |
| Codingclave | SEO and Google Ads retainer | A$990–A$9,800, with ad spend paid by you to Google |
Google's Search Central guidance says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, and nobody can guarantee leads either; we don't. Our retainer starts above Apex's and BEAL's fees, so ask each provider what the monthly fee buys: pages written, fixes made, hours spent, your Google Business Profile and service areas kept current. Scope is on SEO services and Google Ads management. For logos or IT support, the Border studios above fit better.
