Quick answer

How much does a Google Ads agency cost in Brisbane?

Digital Nomads HQ's Brisbane page puts management from $1,000 a month, roughly $12,000 a year. Indi Creative bills $300 a week + GST with a $550 setup: $16,150 ex GST over twelve months. Uprise Digital's March 2026 roundup sets the city's range at $800–$3,000+ monthly, or 10–20% of spend. Codingclave starts at A$990, so A$11,880 a year. Put A$1,500 a month of clicks on top and year one comes to A$29,880 with us at the band's floor, about $30,000 at DNHQ's starting rate and $34,150 ex GST at Indi.

  • Cheapest published Brisbane agency fee: from $1,000 a month (DNHQ)
  • Fees alone over a year: about $12,000 (DNHQ) to $16,150 ex GST (Indi)
  • A$1,500 of spend buys about 80 clicks at the Brisbane median
  • At A$18.75 a click, nobody can say how many of those 80 become jobs

What a Google Ads agency in Brisbane charges in 2026, added up over twelve months

Updated 7 Oct 2026. Brisbane providers price Google Ads (formerly AdWords) management one of two ways. A flat monthly fee stays the same whether A$1,500 or A$15,000 goes on clicks. A percentage of spend, which Uprise Digital puts at 10–20% here, climbs with every budget rise. Gorilla 360 says it takes no cut of the media budget; most pages never say which model they use.

Google charges ad spend to the card in your own account, so this table compares management fees only. How GST applies to Google's bill is on our national page.

Compare totals, not monthly headlines. Twelve months of fee, setup and spend is the honest figure. Check a proposal's click assumptions too: BAMBRICK's Google Ads page still calls “$1 to $2” the average Australian click; DNHQ's May 2026 national median is A$3.81.

What you get each week, on Brisbane time

Queensland skips daylight saving, so our 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST working day stays put all year and meets a 9-to-5 for two and a half hours. The wider hours picture sits on our Brisbane page.

Is Google Ads cheaper in Brisbane? What a click costs here and what each budget buys

Indi Creative and Uprise Digital both tell Brisbane readers that clicks here undercut Sydney and Melbourne. Digital Nomads HQ's index of 374 “service + city” keywords in six cities backs half of that.

  • Cheaper than Sydney, dearer than Melbourne

Brisbane's May 2026 median was A$18.75 a click, against A$23.21 in Sydney and A$16.95 in Melbourne. Its typical spread, A$6.72 to A$40.42, reaches higher than any other index city, so your trade moves the price more than your postcode.

  • Rising fastest of the six cities in the index

Over the year to May 2026, Brisbane click prices climbed 26% while searches dropped 18%, making each searcher 55% dearer to reach. Melbourne rose 14% and Sydney 12%; only the Sunshine Coast matched Brisbane.

  • A 2025 budget now buys less

Unchanged spend returns about a fifth fewer clicks (1 ÷ 1.26 ≈ 0.79). If enquiries have thinned on the same budget, look at cost per click before rewriting the ads.

Worked example: a Springfield electrician on A$2,000 a month

Arithmetic, not a client result. A sole-trader electrician in Springfield Lakes wants call-outs across the Ipswich western corridor and puts A$2,000 a month into Search: about 106 clicks at the Brisbane median (A$2,000 ÷ A$18.75). How many enquire depends on the page, the offer and who answers, so the table uses two assumed rates, not a forecast.

Springfield electrician, A$2,000 a month of ad spend; conversion rates are assumptions for illustration, fee at the bottom of our band
LineIf 5% of clicks enquireIf 10% of clicks enquire

Ad spend per enquiryA$400A$200
Per enquiry with a A$990 fee addedA$598A$299

If one enquiry in three becomes a booked job, that is two to three jobs a month. Where an average job leaves A$1,000 after materials and time, three jobs cover both bills (A$2,990). Below that, the honest advice is a smaller test without a fee, or a better landing page first.

Licence details in Brisbane trade ads: what goes on the ad and what goes on the landing page

Queensland's regulators treat the page an ad opens as advertising. The full website rule, both regulators side by side, is on our Brisbane tradie websites page; below is only what changes for a campaign, read 7 Oct 2026. General information, not legal advice.

  • QBCC trades: the landing page carries all three details

QBCC counts websites, social pages and directories such as Hipages as advertising. The page needs your licensed name (a trading name alone is unlikely to satisfy it), a statement that you are licensed under the QBCC Act, and the number, legible and reasonably prominent. A licensee who leaves them out faces up to 35 penalty units under s54: $6,044 for an individual or $30,222 for a company.

  • Electricians: s188 of the 2026 Regulation

Since 1 September 2026, s188 of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2026 has required any advertisement about an electrical contractor's business to give the licensed or registered business name, say the holder is licensed under the Act, and show the licence number; maximum 40 penalty units (A$6,908). WorkSafe's April 2024 eSAFE note exempted online ads linking back to your site, but it was written under the 2013 Regulation, so don't rely on it until the regulator restates it.

  • Our pre-launch check

Licence details in the landing-page header and footer, the number in a callout or structured snippet asset where it fits, and a recheck whenever the page or licence class changes.

Send your landing-page link on WhatsApp and we'll check that your licensed name, Act statement and number sit where the regulator expects them.

Your first Brisbane campaign, by type of business

Brisbane City counted 145,916 registered businesses in June 2025, 15% more than in 2020, and roughly three in five have no employees. A first campaign should be cheap enough to run for a full quarter and narrow enough to read. Spends here are our suggestions.

  • Trades and home services

Construction is the largest group of Queensland small businesses, at 17.2% (QGSO, June 2025). Run call-led Search on “service + suburb” terms, count only calls past a minimum length, and send clicks to a page showing your licence. Suggested start: A$1,500–A$3,000 a month, roughly 80–160 clicks. See also our tradies page.

  • Clinics and allied health

Health care and social assistance is Brisbane's largest employer, with 121,574 jobs (2021 Census, per Council), clustered round Kelvin Grove–Herston and Woolloongabba. Patients type a condition plus a suburb, so build ad groups that way and count completed bookings, not page visits. Suggested start: A$1,500–A$2,500 a month. Ahpra and NDIS wording rules: our sector rules; NDIS referral forms: Brisbane NDIS websites.

  • Professional and B2B services

Council counts 26,208 professional, scientific and technical businesses in Brisbane City, concentrated in Newstead–Bowen Hills, Paddington–Milton and the CBD. Sales take weeks, so feed qualified CRM leads back as offline conversions (custom software for Brisbane covers the connection) and hold off on broad match until data builds. Suggested start: A$2,000–A$4,000 a month.

  • Online stores

Shopping and Performance Max need a clean product feed and purchase tracking with order values first. Until then, run Search on your brand and best sellers from A$1,500 a month. Store builds: Shopify developers for Brisbane.

Targeting Brisbane suburbs, growth corridors and the coasts

Greater Brisbane passed 2,833,524 residents at 30 June 2025, up about 58,200 (2.1%) in a year, and with Perth it was one of only two capitals to gain people from elsewhere in Australia: net internal migration added 11,100. That bears on one setting in Google's advanced location options (checked 7 Oct 2026):

  • Movers search before they arrive. Removalists, real estate, builders and childcare may keep the default, “Presence or interest”, to reach southerners researching a move north.
  • Trades that drive to the job don't need them. “Presence” limits ads to people in or regularly in your suburbs.
  • List suburbs or postcodes, exclude the rest, and fund each belt separately so inner-city clicks can't drain the Ripley budget.

The account time-zone trap for Queensland businesses

Queensland stays on AEST all year, while Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart move an hour ahead from 4 Oct 2026 to 4 Apr 2027. An account a southern agency opened on its own clock keeps that clock.

  • The zone is fixed once chosen

Google's help page says it outright: “Time zone changes are no longer supported in standard serving accounts.” Another zone means another account.

  • Reports run on the account’s clock

Time-segmented reports follow the account zone. On a Sydney-time account, an 8am Brisbane call during daylight-saving months is logged at 9am, so “best hours” readings sit an hour out for half the year.

  • So do ad schedules

Google's Create an ad schedule page says schedules are set in the account's time zone. On a Sydney-time account, a 7am tradie start switches on at 6am Brisbane time from 4 Oct 2026 to 4 Apr 2027.

  • The fix

Open new accounts on (GMT+10:00) Brisbane. For an older southern one, weigh a documented one-hour offset against a fresh account; conversion history and audiences don't transfer by themselves.

Not sure which clock yours runs on? Send a screenshot of your account settings on WhatsApp and we'll name the zone and its effect.

What Google Ads can’t do for a Brisbane business, and what we won’t claim

Some agencies here call themselves Brisbane's #1 (farsiight and Indi Creative, read 7 Oct 2026). Before trusting any label, ours included, know where paid search stops.

  • No guaranteed leads, rankings or cost per lead

Every click is priced in a live auction, and it becomes a job only if your price, your page and whoever answers the phone hold up. At A$18.75 a click, nobody can tell you how many of your 80 clicks turn into work. What we can show you is every change, dated, in your own account.

  • Ads don’t buy a place in the Maps top three

The map pack is organic and local, and for this search it belongs to agencies with Brisbane addresses. Location assets can show your address beside ads, drawing on your own Google Business Profile once its manager adds the Google Ads email as owner or manager. The organic side: maps versus organic on our Brisbane SEO page.

  • No Local Services Ads in Australia

Google's Local Services Ads help lists eleven countries, and Australia isn't one of them (checked 7 Oct 2026). If an agency's service list includes them, ask to see one running for an Australian advertiser.

  • Badges: who in Brisbane holds which

Badges reflect managed spend, certifications and process, not your results. Gorilla 360 claims Premier Partner; Digital Nomads HQ and Patch Agency show Partner badges. Google reserves Premier Partner for about the top 3% of Partners in each country, so ask which badge an agency actually holds. Codingclave holds none; check us instead on tracking test-fired before launch and the change log in your account.

  3. “What click cost are you planning on for my suburbs, and from which dated source?”

What the Brisbane retainer covers

Add both bills first. At the bottom of our band, A$990 to us plus, say, A$1,500 to Google is A$2,490 a month. If an average job leaves you A$500 after costs, five jobs a month pay for both; short of that, we'll say the budget isn't ready for a fee. The fee rises only when the work does: a second corridor or coast, Shopping or Performance Max, or CRM leads fed back as conversions. Need a page that converts first? See UI/UX design for Brisbane.

How it works

From first message to first live campaign

Start on WhatsApp
  1. Budget check on WhatsApp

Send your industry, suburbs and monthly spend. The reply sets them against Brisbane click prices and says plainly if the budget can't yet carry a fee.

  2. Account audit or set-up

We check the time zone, confirm Admin access sits with your own email and see which conversions already record. New accounts open on Brisbane time.

  3. Tracking and landing page

Calls, forms and WhatsApp clicks are test-fired before launch, and trade pages carry licence details. No page yet? See WordPress developers for Brisbane.

  4. Launch in one belt

One corridor or the inner suburbs first. Weeks 2–4 go on cutting searches you don't want to pay for; by months 2–3 there are usually enough calls or bookings to judge cost per enquiry. Typical, not promised.

  5. Review, expand or leave

Monthly reviews decide whether another corridor or a coast comes next. Leaving follows the notice set in your written terms, and the account and its history stay yours.

Ask Ashish directly

Ask on WhatsApp

Is a flat fee or a percentage of ad spend better for Google Ads management in Brisbane?

For most Brisbane service businesses, a flat fee. At the 10–20% Uprise Digital reports for the city, A$5,000 a month of spend costs A$500–A$1,000 in management, and that grows with every budget rise even when the work barely changes. A flat fee moves only when the account does: more regions, Shopping or CRM conversions. Ask any provider which model it uses and what would trigger an increase.

Is $10 a day enough for Google Ads in Brisbane?

As a test only. Google caps a month at 30.4 times the daily budget, so A$10 a day spends no more than A$304: about 16 clicks at the May 2026 Brisbane median of A$18.75, or 7 to 45 across the typical range. That can show whether people search for your service in your suburbs, but it can't also carry a management fee. For a first trade campaign we suggest A$1,500–A$3,000 a month.

Is Google Ads cheaper in Brisbane than Sydney or Melbourne?

Cheaper than Sydney, dearer than Melbourne, and climbing fastest. Digital Nomads HQ's May 2026 medians for a 'service + city' click are A$18.75 in Brisbane, A$23.21 in Sydney and A$16.95 in Melbourne. Brisbane prices rose 26% in a year, against 14% in Melbourne and 12% in Sydney. Treat any 'cheaper than Melbourne' claim with caution unless it cites dated figures.

Do I need my licence number in my Google ads or only on the landing page?

The landing page must carry it. QBCC treats websites as advertising, so the page your ad opens needs your licensed name, a statement that you're licensed under the QBCC Act, and the number, legibly. Electricians have the same three-part duty under s188 of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2026. An older WorkSafe note exempted Google ads linking back to your site, but it predates that Regulation, so we add the number to an ad asset where space allows.

Can I target specific Brisbane suburbs, or add the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast?

Yes to both. List suburbs or postcodes, or a radius round your base, and exclude areas you won't serve; trades usually switch the location option to 'Presence'. Give each region its own campaign and budget: the May 2026 median click was A$18.75 in Brisbane and A$14.85 on the Sunshine Coast, so one radius over all three blurs the results.

What time zone should a Brisbane Google Ads account use?

(GMT+10:00) Brisbane. Queensland has no daylight saving, so a Sydney or Melbourne zone puts reports and ad schedules an hour out from 4 Oct 2026 to 4 Apr 2027, and standard accounts can no longer change zone. While in settings, check that your own email holds Admin access, so the account and its history stay with you if you change agency.

Can a Google Ads agency get me into the Google Maps pack?

Not through ads. The map pack ranks Google Business Profiles organically; ad spend doesn't buy a place in it. What ads can do is show your address beside them through location assets, which link to your own profile once whoever manages it adds the Google Ads email as owner or manager. Improving where your profile ranks is separate work, covered on our Brisbane SEO page.

How long before Google Ads brings leads in Brisbane?

Clicks start within days of launch; judging leads takes longer. The first two to four weeks go on cutting searches you don't want to pay for, and by months two to three most Brisbane service accounts have enough calls or bookings to read a cost per enquiry. At A$1,500 a month that's 160–240 clicks of evidence. Nobody can promise a lead count or a date, us included.
