Most studios in town quote only on request; the Campbell St studio that does show a figure starts at 'as little as $995' and doesn't say whether GST is in it. Three sellers undercut our A$900 floor, and none gives a Toowoomba address. WeDesigns starts at $490, Nifty Websites at $699 with GST already in, and Website4u at $899 ex GST, which is $988.90 once GST goes on. Squarely's $895 headline sits under A$900 too, but its listed packages begin at $1,975 ex GST. If one page with your phone number is enough, a starter like these may cost less than we would. A page per service, a job gallery or town pages costs more: $1,500–$5,000 on WeDesigns' FAQ, or $1,800 for Website4u's five-page Starter.
Three checks before you line up any two figures:
- Can you buy the 'from' price? Ask which package a headline belongs to. Squarely's $895 matches nothing on its own pricing page.
- Is GST in or out? Website4u and Squarely quote ex GST, Nifty inc GST, and the $995 offer in town is silent.
- Is finance on offer? Get the total repayable; the 12, 24 and 36-month terms advertised in Toowoomba show no rate or fees.

Most Toowoomba businesses are one person: GST and the first-year bill
The ABS counted 17,994 actively trading businesses in the Toowoomba Regional Council area at 30 June 2025, 2.1% more than a year before. Of those, 11,696 (65.0%) employ nobody and 4,100 (22.8%) employ one to four people. By turnover, 55.4% take in less than $200,000 a year. A Rockville studio targets firms turning over $500k to $10M, a sensible niche, but more than half the region's businesses sit below it.
At that size, GST changes the comparison. If you aren't registered for GST you can't claim it back, so Website4u's $899 ex GST costs you $988.90 and Squarely's $1,975 Basic package costs $2,172.50. Our invoice adds no GST: we're an India-based supplier not registered for Australian GST. A GST-registered business should ask its accountant whether the reverse-charge rules apply to an imported service.
No Toowoomba page we checked adds up the first year either. Take a Highfields electrician working alone who wants five WordPress pages: home, services, about, a job gallery, and contact with a quote form.

Month by month. The budget host works out at about $10 a month in year one and close to $20 from year two. The lean route suits an owner happy to log in and update plugins; our plan suits one who isn't.
Bundled discounts. Website4u cuts $200–$800 from a build when you sign a 12-month care plan. That only saves money if you wanted care anyway, so price the plan over the year and ask what month 13 costs.

Ag, rural and machinery suppliers: one Toowoomba business in five
Agriculture, forestry and fishing is the biggest industry in the region's ABS business count: 3,581 businesses, or 19.9%. Live Toowoomba, the council's own site, calls the region Queensland's best-performing agricultural region, with gross value of production of $1.27 billion in 2023-24. Here is how we would scope sites for suppliers selling into that market.
Grain storage, feed and handling gear
A page for each product line (silos, augers, feed or seed brands) with specifications, photos and an enquiry button on every item. Most sellers don't need a cart: buyers want to ask about delivery, lead time or a trade-in first, so the site's job is to start that conversation.
Irrigation, pumps and water
Spec sheets as downloads, a form that asks for the bore, pump or paddock details you need to quote, and photos of past installs. Name the towns you service, so a buyer in Millmerran or Clifton knows you'll come out.
Livestock handling and machinery parts
A parts or product list you can update from your phone, searchable by part number, with click-to-call at the top of each page. Where freight genuinely works, a WooCommerce store can sit behind it; freight zones, pick-up options and the checkout provider go into your quote.
Pages that load well away from town
Some buyers will open your site on a phone out of town, where signal varies, so these pages are built light: compressed images, no autoplay video, and the phone number in the first screen.

The region has 1,507 health care and social assistance businesses, and the Queensland Government is building a $1.3 billion new Toowoomba Hospital on the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus, with 118 more beds. Who you’re dealing with
Ashish Sharma started Codingclave Development LLP in Lucknow, India, in 2017 and still runs every build himself. The business has no office, staff, phone line or ABN in Australia. The Australia overview sets out how the remote arrangement works.
Hours that suit early starters
Queensland skips daylight saving, so Toowoomba's clock never moves against ours. We're online 2:30pm to 11:30pm AEST, Monday to Saturday, 2.5 hours inside a 9-to-5 day and the rest in your evening.
