Quick answer

How much does web design cost on the Central Coast?

Coast price lists open at $499 a year for WebLingo's template plan and $1,540 inc GST for a QuickLaunch site of up to 3 pages at Central Coast Websites. The same studio prices 4-page brochure sites from $2,200 +GST, custom e-commerce from $5,000 and larger builds from $10,000. Once the hosting or management fee is counted, year one on the tiers we added up comes to $499–$6,428, and year two to $500–$1,428. Five studios on Google's first page print no figure at all. Codingclave's WordPress builds cost A$900–A$4,300 with no GST added, and our hosting is optional.

  • Ours: WordPress A$900–A$4,300, custom A$1,200–A$6,900, no GST added
  • Year one at Coast studios, added up: $499 to $6,428
  • Year two: $500 to $1,428, driven by the hosting or management plan
  • Only Central Coast Websites states a GST basis, and it changes by page
  • Published build times: 14 days to 12 weeks

Website design costs on the Central Coast, side by side (6 Oct 2026)

How much should you pay a web designer here? On 6 Oct 2026 we read the price pages of every Coast web designer listed on Google Australia's first page for 'web design central coast', plus two that publish fees without ranking there: WebLingo in Toukley and Creative Baguette, which works remotely.

Central Coast Websites, the top organic result, publishes the most figures, spread over five pages that use different package names and don't always agree. The table copies each page's GST wording and modified date as shown. Treat every 'from' as the floor for the smallest scope.

Central Coast Websites' pages contradict each other twice: Business Basics is from $3,080 on one and $2,475 on another, and SmartStart is $1,980 or $1,320 depending on the page. Ask which figure applies to you. Got a Coast quote already? Send it and we'll price the same scope.

Year one, year two and the GST basis of each Coast quote

How much does it cost to design a website once the ongoing fees land? The build is paid once, but hosting, management or a subscription keeps billing after launch, and no Coast price page adds the two together. This table does, from each provider's own figures. Where a page says +GST we add 10%; otherwise the figure stays as printed.

Why GST matters: in June 2025, 5,389 Coast businesses (19.9%) turned over less than $50,000 (ABS Data cube 11), below the $75,000 at which the ATO requires GST registration. An unregistered owner can't claim GST back, so $2,200 +GST really costs them $2,420. Our invoices carry no GST, because Codingclave is an overseas supplier not registered for it, so an A$900 build costs that owner A$900. If you are registered, ask your accountant whether reverse-charge rules apply. More in our guide to what a website costs across Australia.

Most of our A$80–A$240 support band costs more than Central Coast Websites' $68–$129 plans, so for a small brochure site the cheaper path is often a host you pick, with the login in your name; we set it up at handover. Send your quote and we'll lay out both years for the same scope.

Monthly plan or one-off build: what you commit to on the Coast

Is a monthly website plan cheaper than paying once? For the first year, almost always. After that it turns on how long you keep paying and what you keep. Across five years, WebLingo's Business Website totals $3,288 if the '$50 a month after year one' block applies, or $4,440 at $888 a year; Coast Wide Web's Starter with hosting totals $4,000.

Term and exit, in each page's own words:

  • Central Coast Websites' packages page says a 24-month contract applies to all packages. On QuickLaunch that means at least $1,540 + 24 × $88 = $3,652 over two years, and its QuickLaunch page calls the site 'fully yours after the contract term'. Its WaaS plan spreads a build over 24 payments, after a $295 setup fee, plus a 16% 'payment flexibility fee'.
  • Its EOFY 2025 offer, closed on 30 June 2025, tied $75 a month (normally $88) to a 24-month agreement and said 'Early termination fees may apply'.
  • WebLingo publishes no minimum term or cancellation terms; Coast Wide Web sets a 3-month minimum on SEO.

What a Coast builder, clinic, agency or café needs from its site

The Central Coast had 27,066 actively trading businesses at 30 June 2025, 1.2% more than a year before (ABS Data cube 10). 55.1% employ nobody and 97.7% have fewer than 20 staff, so the site usually has to be one the owner can edit at night without phoning anyone, with low running costs. Construction, professional services and real estate make up 46.5% of businesses. Health care grew fastest of the large sectors, up 8.7%, while construction slipped slightly.

  • Clinics in Gosford and Erina: Gosford Hospital is the Coast's principal referral hospital and a regional trauma centre (CCLHD). Specialist and allied-health suites nearby need referral details, practitioner pages and phone-friendly booking.
  • Cafés and stays at The Entrance and Ettalong Beach: visitors are 'mainly made up of domestic day trippers' (RDA Central Coast) checking menus and hours on a phone, so publish both as text.

Website builders, a Coast studio, a digital agency or a remote team

'Website builders Central Coast' can mean a DIY tool like Wix or a Coast business that builds sites. Should you use a website builder or a Central Coast web designer? Central Coast Websites' cost article puts DIY platforms at $20–$60+ a month: low in cash, but the layout, writing and set-up hours come out of your evenings.

Do you need a digital marketing agency or just a web designer? Ads and SEO send people to pages; if those pages hide prices, suburbs and booking, the spend leaks. Coast Wide Web's $550 a month for 6 hours is the clearest published Coast SEO price. Our SEO and Google Ads management retainer is A$990–A$9,800 a month, with ad spend paid straight to Google. Showing up in Gosford, Wyong and Woy Woy searches, not only ‘Central Coast’

How do you show up in Google Maps for Wyong, Gosford and Woy Woy? Customers search by suburb, and most Coast trades work at the customer's address. Google's rules for that are short.

  • No customers at your address? Remove it

Google Business Profile Help says to remove an address where customers aren't served and set service areas instead, which fits a mobile groomer working from home in Umina Beach.

  • Up to 20 service areas, about 2 hours’ drive

Google allows up to 20 areas, and the whole area shouldn't exceed about 2 hours' drive from your base. Pick suburbs you want work from, not every one you could reach.

  • Write for suburb clusters

Give each cluster real content, such as jobs done: Gosford, Erina and Terrigal; Tuggerah, Wyong and Warnervale; Woy Woy, Umina Beach and Ettalong Beach; The Entrance and Toukley.

  • Use the old council names

Gosford City and Wyong Shire merged in 2016, yet plenty of locals still search with the old names, so work them into body copy.

  • What nobody can promise

No one, including us, can guarantee rankings or leads. If a proposal promises guaranteed results, ask what exactly is guaranteed and what happens if it isn't met. More on SEO services.

Working with us from the Coast: hours, payment, ownership

Can a web designer who isn't on the Coast build your site? Yes, once hours, paperwork and handover are agreed up front. We work by WhatsApp, video call and a staging link, so there's no meeting to fit around your day.

Our day overlaps a Coast 9–5 by 1.5 hours now and 2.5 hours from 5 April 2027 (NSW Government). At the 2021 Census, 24.1% of resident workers (36,355) worked outside the region, typically in Sydney or Newcastle (RDA Central Coast), though Census night fell during the Greater Sydney lockdown. For a Tuggerah owner who commutes, a staging review after dinner beats a 10am meeting.

  • Who you deal with

Founder-led delivery: WhatsApp goes to Ashish Sharma. ★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews), 200+ projects since 2017 (our work) and Top Rated on Upwork cover all of Codingclave's work, so read them yourself. More on About.

  • Checking the build

A staging link lets you try every form and booking button on your own phone, with your written page list beside it, so a missing page shows before launch.

  • Ownership

Your .com.au goes under your ABN (auDA); registrar and hosting logins can sit in your name. Copyright and ownership terms are confirmed in writing for your business before you sign.

  • Paying safely

Tie any designer's payments, ours included, to stages you can see. Our payment split and method are set out in the scope you approve, before anything is due.

  • After launch

Support is optional. We work until 12:30am Coast time Monday to Saturday, so a message sent after dinner reaches us mid-shift. Any warranty period is written into your scope.

Where a job lands inside a band depends on what's in it. A Woy Woy plumber's five pages and photo quote form is a far smaller scope than a Terrigal clinic's fifteen pages with practitioner profiles and online booking, and the written price reflects that before you pay anything.

Ask on WhatsApp

How much should I pay a web designer on the Central Coast, and does the price include GST?

Published Coast prices start at $499 a year (WebLingo), $1,500 plus $500 a year hosting (Coast Wide Web) and $1,540 inc GST for a 3-page site at Central Coast Websites, which lists 4-page brochure sites from $2,200 +GST and larger builds from $10,000. Only Central Coast Websites states a GST basis, and it varies by page: +GST, inc GST or unmarked. Ask every provider in writing whether GST is included.

What does a 4- or 5-page website cost on the Central Coast?

WebLingo's Business Website is $888 a year, or $89 a month, for 4 or 5 pages, depending on which block of its fees page you read. Central Coast Websites' Business Basic is a 4-page template site from $2,200 +GST plus $68 a month management, or $3,236 in year one. A site that size sits inside Codingclave's WordPress band of A$900–A$4,300, with no GST added.

How long does a website take to build on the Central Coast?

Published times run from WebLingo's '14 days or less' to Oddball Marketing's 'commonly 8–12 weeks' for a modest site. Website Guy quotes 5–6 weeks until you can inspect it, and Creative Baguette a first version in 7 days with most sites live in 1–3 weeks. Our WordPress sites go live in 1–2 weeks from when your content is ready.

Is a monthly website plan cheaper than paying once on the Central Coast?

In year one, nearly always. At $888 every year, WebLingo overtakes Coast Wide Web's $1,500 Starter plus $500 hosting from year four. If WebLingo's '$50 a month after year one' block applies, the subscription stays cheaper for about 12 years. Coast Wide Web's Starter is only a landing page plus one content page, and some Coast packages carry a 24-month contract.

Are Central Coast web designers still in demand in 2026?

Yes. The Coast had 27,066 trading businesses at 30 June 2025, up 1.2% in a year, and each new one needs a site that matches its Google Business Profile. Health care businesses rose 8.7% and real estate 3.1%, while construction dipped slightly (ABS). The next local count is due in December 2026. Opening this year? WhatsApp your business and suburb for a written price.

What are the 7 C's of a website, and how would an Erina clinic apply them?

Jeffrey Rayport and Bernard Jaworski's book e-Commerce lists context, content, community, customisation, communication, connection and commerce. For an Erina physio: a clean phone layout (context), a page per treatment and practitioner (content), patient reviews (community), booking with a preferred practitioner (customisation), reminders and a contact form (communication), links to the GP referral form and directions from Erina Fair (connection), and online booking and payment (commerce).

Do I own my website and .com.au if a Central Coast studio builds it?

Not automatically. auDA only lets an Australian commercial entity hold a com.au, usually through an ABN or ACN, so register the domain under your ABN with the registrar login in your name. Site ownership depends on the contract: one Coast studio's package page calls the site 'fully yours after the contract term'. Get ownership, export and exit terms in writing before you sign.

Can a web designer who isn't based on the Central Coast build my website?

Yes, if the arrangement is clear up front. Codingclave works from Lucknow, India, with no Coast office, staff or phone line, over WhatsApp, email and video calls. Our day overlaps a Coast 9–5 by 1.5 hours until 4 April 2027, then 2.5 hours, and most reviews happen on a staging link in your evening. Price, scope and ownership terms are agreed in writing before you sign.
