Overview

We're founder-led and work remotely from Lucknow, India, 12:30pm–9:30pm AWST. Below: what nine providers selling to Perth publish, checked 6 Oct 2026.

Quick answer

Which Perth AI automation agencies publish prices, and what do they say?

Of nine providers we looked at on 6 Oct 2026, eight sites loaded and four of those print a figure. AI Automation Agency rents each automation at A$110, A$220 or A$330 a week, GST included. Source Digital shows $2,500 as a starting point on one page and $5K–$15K on its pricing page. Agentrix gives $3,000–$15,000, and Limitless Devs says simple flows start around $3k–$5k. Four print nothing; aiautomationperth.com.au wouldn't load. Our builds are A$1,950–A$23,500 over 2–6 weeks, with no GST added.

  • Renting one 6-step flow: A$11,440 a year
  • 25 RFQs a week, 15 min saved each: about A$410 a week at WA wages
  • WA pay: about A$58.60 an hour, derived from ABS weekly earnings ÷ 38 h
  • Only one readable site states its GST basis
  • Get the workflow export terms in writing

Nine AI automation providers selling to Perth: what each prints, checked 6 October 2026

AI automation is a workflow where software reads an email, form or document, an AI model drafts the next step, and a person approves it before it reaches a customer or Xero.

Four kinds of provider answer this search: a managed subscription renting automations by the week, Perth build agencies, enterprise consultancies pitched at miners and government, and east-coast firms with a Perth city page. Compare three numbers on any page: the build figure, the ongoing fee, and whether GST is inside.

Published delivery times differ too: Source Digital says 2–8 weeks, Agentrix 2–4 weeks (3–6 for complex work), Lightning Ventures 4–8 weeks for Perth projects, and ours is 2–6 weeks.

Published figures can differ between an agency's own pages, so get five things in writing:

  1. Whether GST is included.
  2. Whether platform and AI usage fees are included.
  3. Whose accounts the workflows and API keys sit in.
  4. The export format you get at exit.
  5. Who approves each automated output.

Twelve months of one six-step flow in Perth: rented, built locally, or built by us

A weekly fee and a one-off build only line up when you total a year. The six steps: an emailed RFQ is read, matched to a rate sheet, drafted as a quote, logged, approved and filed.

Year one for one six-step automation, from published figures, checked 6 Oct 2026
RouteWhat you pay in year oneWhat you hold at month 13
Managed plan, Tier 2 (6 steps)A$220 × 52 = A$11,440, GST includedNo export terms on the page
Perth fixed build (Source Digital, combining the ranges on its two pages)$2,500–$15,000 build + $200–$2,000 a month retainer = about $4,900–$39,000, GST basis not stated"You own the build" (their wording)
CodingclaveA$1,950–A$23,500 build + optional support at A$80–A$240 a month = A$1,950–A$26,380 (sum of the two bands), no GST addedWorkspace, keys and JSON exports in your name

The managed plan's fee covers up to 2,200 tasks a month at Tier 2, and it never prints an annual total. On our route, platform and AI usage bill your own card; ask any other provider in writing whether theirs are included. As one dated example, n8n's pricing page listed its Starter cloud plan at €20 a month (billed annually) for 2,500 workflow executions in October 2026, and 25 RFQs a week is about 110 runs a month. AI model usage is billed by tokens on your own API account and depends on document length, so we estimate it from your sample files. More on running costs and the rent-or-own maths for years two and three.

What a repeated Perth admin task costs at WA wages: one RFQ inbox worked through

The managed agency's savings calculator defaults to $45 an hour and gives no source. This one starts from the ABS. Assumptions, swap in your own:

  • Wage: WA full-time adults averaged A$2,227.40 a week in ordinary-time earnings in May 2026 (ABS, released 13 Aug 2026). Divided by 38 hours, that is about A$58.60 an hour before super (our derivation; ABS publishes weekly figures).
  • With super: add the 12% super guarantee (ATO) and it is about A$65.65.
  • Volume: 25 RFQ emails a week, 20 minutes each by hand.
  • Still human: someone checks each AI draft for about 5 minutes, so 15 minutes is saved per email.
  • Saving: 6.25 hours a week, about A$410, or roughly A$19,700 over 48 working weeks.
  • Break-even: build price ÷ weekly saving. Under five weeks at our A$1,950 floor, and each extra A$1,000 on the quote adds about two and a half weeks.

Platform and AI usage go on your own card and aren't counted. This is arithmetic, not a result we've achieved. If break-even runs past a year, automate a smaller slice first. Run this for your inbox on WhatsApp with your own volume and minutes.

‘Built in Perth, never outsourced’: what changes when the builder is remote, and when to pick a Perth firm

Limitless Devs, Source Digital and Lightning Ventures lead with onshore delivery. The real questions are who sees your data, who holds the keys, and what happens if the builder disappears. The wider case for and against offshore builders is on the national page; here is how it plays out for a Perth flow.

  • What we see

Sample or de-identified data during the build. Live data runs only inside your accounts.

  • Whose name it’s in

Workspace, AI keys and connections are opened in your business name. We get user access, removed at handover.

  • Handover

n8n or Make JSON exports and a plain-English runbook another developer can follow.

  • If we disappeared tomorrow

Your flows keep running, because the workspace, keys and billing are already yours. The JSON exports and runbook let any n8n or Make developer take over.

  • Paying and support

The quote is one AUD figure with no GST added. How the payments are staged, which payment methods suit you and how long post-launch fixes are free are written into your quote before you commit. After that, support is optional at A$80–A$240 a month.

  • When to hire a Perth-based AI agency instead

    • On-site discovery or workshops (Source Digital offers free Perth metro visits).
    • WA government panels that need an Australian entity or ABN.
    • Enterprise mining procurement with vendor onboarding.
    • Phone voice agents: Agentrix builds them; we don't.

Our proof instead of a Perth address: ★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews) across all our services, not only AI, and most of those reviews are for web and app builds. The Perth AI agencies' profiles we checked showed 2, 22 and 37 reviews. Add 200+ projects since 2017, Top Rated on Upwork and founder-led delivery. No Perth office or ABN: you deal with the founder directly on WhatsApp and video calls, with quotes in AUD. See reviews and work, or ask how the accounts and payment work.

Seven Perth workflows by industry, each with a trigger, an AI step and a named approver

WA has 257,933 small businesses, 78.1% of them in the Perth metro (SBDC). Construction leads at 17.3%, then professional services (12.67%), rental, hiring and real estate (11.31%) and transport and warehousing (11.02%). These examples cover those four industries and two more: the AI drafts, a named person releases.

  • Mining-services supplier: tender pack to quote draft

Fabricators in Malaga, Welshpool, Kewdale or Canning Vale.

    • Trigger: an RFQ or tender pack lands in the estimating inbox.
    • AI step: prices the scope and line items from your rate sheet, flags gaps, drafts the quote.
    • Approver: the estimator.
    • Apps: Outlook, your rate spreadsheet, Xero.
  • Real estate agency: portal enquiries routed

    From Joondalup to Fremantle.

    • Trigger: a REIWA, realestate.com.au or Domain enquiry email.
    • AI step: tags it, routes it to the listing agent in your CRM, drafts the first reply.
    • Approver: the property manager or sales agent.
    • Apps: portal alerts, CRM, Outlook. More for real estate agencies.
  • WA settlement: chasing missing documents

In WA, settlements are handled by settlement agents licensed under the Settlement Agents Act 1981, or by certified legal practitioners (Consumer Protection WA).

    • Trigger: the contract goes unconditional.
    • AI step: checks documents received against the checklist and drafts a chaser per gap.
    • Approver: the settlement agent.
    • Apps: email and a shared folder. No connection to settlement platforms.
  • Trades on ServiceM8, Fergus or simPRO: job to Xero draft

    • Trigger: a job is marked complete.
    • AI step: turns labour, materials and notes into invoice lines in a Xero draft, where your job app's API allows.
    • Approver: the office manager.
    • Apps: your job app and Xero. The connection is custom set-up work, not a built-in feature (Xero integration; more for trade businesses).
  • Kewdale or Welshpool 3PL: delivery paperwork to invoice

    • Trigger: a proof-of-delivery or consignment-note photo arrives in the dispatch inbox.
    • AI step: reads the consignee, references and any exceptions noted, then drafts the Xero invoice or an exception email to the customer.
    • Approver: the dispatch lead.
    • Apps: shared inbox, Xero.
  • Labour hire: FIFO roster changes to crew

A Rockingham or Kewdale contractor running fly-in fly-out crews.

    • Trigger: a roster change is saved.
    • AI step: drafts each affected worker's email or WhatsApp message (using approved message templates) with the new swing dates.
    • Approver: the crew coordinator.
    • Apps: roster sheet, WhatsApp Business API, email. Times stay in AWST, so nothing shifts when the east coast changes clocks.
  • West Perth accounting practice: BAS and EOFY chasing

    • Trigger: set days before a BAS date or 30 June.
    • AI step: sorts returned documents against each client's list and drafts a reminder for what's missing.
    • Approver: the principal accountant.
    • Apps: email, document portal, Xero.

Searching for an AI receptionist in Perth? We automate after the call (transcript to CRM, follow-up drafted), not the phone voice agent; the chatbots and voice notes explain the split. A flow needing its own portal or database becomes custom software in Perth. Got one of these jobs? Get it priced.

A Perth agency, an east-coast agency or us: how the working day lines up

Perth stays on AWST all year. During east-coast daylight saving (4 Oct 2026 to 4 Apr 2027) Sydney runs three hours ahead; from April, two. Against a 9am–5pm day in the Perth CBD:

An east-coast team overlaps more of your day than we do. We don't promise reply times and Sundays are off, so what we offer instead is calls from 12:30 to 5pm AWST, build time through your evening, and progress posted before your next morning, on a clock that never moves. Supplying a WA government agency: the PRIS Act, IPP 10 and your automation

For Perth firms on WA State services contracts, and their sub-contractors. We'd build as your sub-contractor; we can't contract with a WA agency directly, because we have no Australian entity.

  • Timeline

The PRIS Act 2024 received Royal Assent on 6 December 2024. The Government stated most privacy provisions, including the Information Privacy Principles, would start on 1 July 2026 (OIC WA). The notifiable breach scheme starts on 1 January 2027, and OIC WA says contracted service providers (CSPs) must also comply from that date (s.134) where the contract has a PRIS compliance clause.

  • IPP 10 and automated decisions

From 1 July 2026, IPP 10 sets rules for automated decision-making by WA public sector entities and their CSPs, for significant decisions using personal information collected after that date. The OIC calls PRIS the first Australian law to regulate personal information in such decisions. It counts systems that "materially assist" a decision: recommending, guiding the decision-maker, data matching. That can include AI drafting or summarising steps that feed a decision about a person made for the agency.

  • Contracted service providers

The outsourcing agency stays accountable unless the contract has a PRIS compliance clause. With one, the CSP "steps into the shoes" of the agency for enforcement, and the OIC suggests agencies flow the clause down to sub-contractors.

  • What it means for the build

Where IPP 10 applies, the OIC expects three things: an impact assessment covering harm, bias and discrimination; telling people that automation was used and how it works; and a way for a person to ask for a human to step in. We build to support those:

    • A named human approver on every output about a person.
    • A log of each AI input and output, kept in your accounts.
    • A written flow description ready for the agency's impact assessment.

The federal 10 December 2026 rule is on the national page. General information, not legal advice; check your contract and the OIC guidance.

Finding an AI consultant or agency in Perth without a ranking you can trust

We found no independent ranking of Perth AI agencies. The best-known listicle puts its own publisher first, GoodFirms' Perth list mixes in non-Perth firms, and RevenueBase (third-party) counts 68 Perth-headquartered AI automation consultancies.

  • A Perth-specific test for any shortlist

A firm that suits a miner rarely suits a ten-person trade business, so test each one on three things: does it name WA clients you can check, does a Perth address show on Google Maps, and do its reviews describe AI work rather than websites?

  • Free local starting points

The SBDC gives free small-business advice, and the WA AI Hub is a community linking WA industry, government, academia and startups.

  • Then apply the checklist

Ask every shortlisted agency the five written questions under the price table.

How much does an AI automation agency charge in Perth?

Of nine providers checked on 6 Oct 2026, eight sites loaded and four print a figure. A managed plan rents one automation at A$110, A$220 or A$330 a week including GST. Source Digital starts at $2,500 or $5K, depending on the page; Agentrix quotes $3,000–$15,000; Limitless Devs, around $3k–$5k. Only the managed plan states GST. Our fixed builds are A$1,950–A$23,500, with no GST added. The table above dates every figure.

Which AI automation agencies operate from Perth?

Source Digital, Agentrix, Limitless Devs and AI Agency Perth present as Perth businesses; AI Advancements lists Osborne Park and Appolo West Perth. AI Automation Agency is a national managed service; Lightning Ventures is east-coast. RevenueBase, a third-party vendor, counts 68 Perth-headquartered AI automation consultancies. We aren't in Perth: Codingclave works remotely from India.

Does a Perth small business need an AI agent, or is a simple workflow enough?

Usually a workflow. If the job follows the same steps each time, such as an RFQ read into a quote draft or a finished ServiceM8 job turned into a Xero draft, a fixed n8n or Make flow with one AI step is cheaper to run and easier to check. An agent that decides its own next steps suits messier work, like triaging a mixed inbox, and needs a tighter approval step. Start with the workflow; add agent behaviour only where the rules run out.

Where can I find an AI consultant in Perth, and what do they charge per hour?

AI Advancements in Osborne Park does enterprise strategy and training, and AI Agency Perth is led by a PhD in AI and former UWA lecturer. The SBDC gives free business advice, and the WA AI Hub community connects people working on AI in WA. None of the Perth sites we checked on 6 Oct 2026 publish an hourly rate; the nearest is Source Digital's advisory retainer, $600–$1,200 a month, GST basis not stated. We don't bill hours, and if someone quotes hourly, ask for a capped total.

Is there demand for AI automation in WA?

WA's business count grew 4.6% in 2025–26 to 278,520, the fastest of any state or territory (ABS). Its 257,933 small businesses employ more than 541,000 people (SBDC). WA full-time pay is the highest of any state (only the ACT is higher), about A$58.60 an hour before super when ABS weekly earnings are divided by 38 hours, so each repeated admin hour costs more here.

Can a Perth business hire an AI automation agency outside WA, and how is it paid?

Yes. Google's Perth local results already show providers from outside WA. The trade-offs are the clock and site visits: east-coast teams on AEDT start three hours ahead of you, while we work 12:30pm to 9:30pm AWST, Monday to Saturday, all year, and don't visit. Our quote is one AUD figure with no GST added, and the payment stages and methods are written into it before you commit. The working-day table and 'When to hire a Perth-based AI agency instead' set out when a Perth firm suits better.

Does a WA government contract change what my automation can do?

It can. If your State services contract has a PRIS Act compliance clause, your business must comply with the Information Privacy Principles and the Commissioner can enforce against you directly. IPP 10 covers AI steps that materially assist a significant decision about a person made for the agency, such as summarising or pre-assessing. Keep a named approver and an AI input/output log, and plan for the breach scheme from 1 January 2027. General information, not legal advice.

What happens when the AI gets a Perth quote or reply wrong?

Nothing reaches a customer or Xero until the named approver releases it, so a wrong draft is caught at that step and corrected by a person. Every input and output is logged in your own account, which shows where the draft went wrong and lets us adjust the prompt or rule. Before go-live, your approver signs off a test run on sample jobs, and errors found then are fixed before the flow handles real work.
