Quick answer
How much does it cost to hire a UI/UX designer in Brisbane?
Hiring a UI/UX designer in Brisbane costs $50–$300 an hour through a studio listed on Clutch, A$105,000–A$110,000 a year in-house on SEEK's Queensland figures, or one fixed project price. Clutch's Brisbane minimum projects run from $1,000+ to $50,000+. Add 12% super if the salary ad excludes it. Codingclave's fixed AUD bands have the design inside: A$1,200–A$6,900 for a business website, A$2,400–A$19,500 for an online store and A$6,900–A$43,000 for an iOS and Android app.
- Clutch, Brisbane: $50–$300 an hour; minimums $1,000+ to $50,000+
- SEEK, in-house: A$105k–A$110k a year, plus super if excluded
- Spark Digital's floors: websites $25,000, apps $50,000
- Design-only Figma for your developers: priced within the matching band

UI UX design Brisbane price list: what agencies charge, checked 6 Oct 2026
Web Tonic reviewed 24 Brisbane web and UI/UX agencies (updated 5 Oct 2026) and found that none publishes a rate. Of the agency service pages ranking for this search that we read on 6 Oct 2026 (Bright Labs, Spark, Arvo, Vivo Group, PeakXD and Juno Creative), only Spark publishes a UI/UX figure, and only as a minimum. Clutch is where Brisbane numbers do appear, as bands with no scope attached. The figures we found are below, ours last.
| Firm or option | Area | Published hourly band | Published minimum | Takes an $8,000 project? | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MyWork | Daisy Hill | $200–$300 | $1,000+ | Yes | Clutch |
| Vesanique | Fortitude Valley | $100–$149 | $5,000+ | Yes | Clutch |
| App Gurus | Fortitude Valley | $50–$99 | $5,000+ | Yes | Clutch |
| ICON | Bowen Hills | Not shown | $5,000+ | Yes | Clutch |
| Labrys | Milton | $100–$149 | $10,000+ | No | Clutch |
| Oakland Studio | Bowen Hills | $150–$199 | $10,000+ | No | Clutch |
| Evolut | Brisbane City | $150–$199 | $10,000+ | No | Clutch |
| Intuji | Brisbane City | $50–$99 | $10,000+ | No | Clutch |
| DreamWalk | Paddington | $200–$300 | $25,000+ | No | Clutch |
| BA Tech Lab | Brisbane City | $100–$149 | $25,000+ | No | Clutch |
| Luminary | Brisbane City | $100–$149 | $50,000+ | No | Clutch |
| Spark Digital | Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane | None | Websites $25,000; apps $50,000 | No | Spark UX page |
| Arvo, PeakXD, Vivo, Juno | Banyo, Eight Mile Plains, Fortitude Valley | None published | None published | Not stated | Arvo, PeakXD, Vivo, Juno |
| Codingclave | Remote (Lucknow, India) | No hourly rate | Fixed AUD bands: website A$1,200–A$6,900, app A$6,900–A$43,000 | Yes | Our bands |
A worked example shows why the minimum often matters more than the rate. Say a six-screen booking flow takes five hours a screen (an assumption for the arithmetic, not anyone's quote). Thirty hours at Oakland Studio's $150–$199 band comes to $4,500–$5,970, which is under its $10,000+ minimum, so the minimum becomes the real starting price. Ask each firm whether its figures are AUD or USD. Whole-site costs, build included, are on our Brisbane overview.
Live site? Send the link and the task users fail at. No site yet? Send the idea in two lines. Either way, the reply names the band.

Not in Fortitude Valley: what a remote UI/UX team gives you instead
Codingclave has no Brisbane office, no Australian phone number and no ABN. Ashish Sharma founded Codingclave Development LLP in Lucknow, India, in 2017 and still leads delivery. You reach us on WhatsApp (+91 92771 84741), by email and on video calls.
What you give up
Workshops around one table, a studio to drop into, and morning calls: our day starts at 2:30pm AEST.
What you get instead
A fixed AUD price, the founder on your review calls, and evening work on whatever you flagged by 5pm. The gap against Clutch's $5,000+ and $10,000+ minimums comes from a Lucknow cost base and no Brisbane rent, not from skipped steps: wireframe, UI and prototype gates run in every band.
What your scope spells out
Every screen, the number of moderated test rounds, the AUD price, the payment schedule and methods, which account holds the Figma files, how test recordings and personal data are stored, and any bug-fix period after launch. All of it is confirmed in writing for your business before you sign, and you see it before paying anything.
How to check us first
★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews) on our reviews page, 200+ projects since 2017 in our work, and Top Rated on Upwork. Copyright and Figma file questions are answered in our national UI/UX FAQ.
When a studio in Brisbane is the better pick
If you want in-person co-design workshops with your staff, or a government panel requires a supplier based in Queensland, choose a Brisbane firm.

UX design Brisbane: what we design, from sitemap to handover
The interfaces we design are marketing sites, online stores, booking flows, client portals, admin dashboards and iOS or Android apps. Each project draws on these pieces, in proportion to its size:
- Research and personas from your analytics, heatmaps and a few customer conversations, so the brief names real tasks.
- Information architecture and sitemap: what lives where, and what each menu item is called.
- User flows for the two or three tasks that earn you money.
- Wireframes, then UI screens in your brand, with every state drawn (empty, loading, error).
- A clickable prototype you try on your phone, then a usability test with your customers.
- Handover to your developers or to our build team.
The full deliverables list per stage sits on our national UI/UX page. For a live site, a heatmap and analytics review is usually where a UX review begins.

UX designer salary in Brisbane vs a studio vs a remote team
| Option | Cost basis | What the figure covers | Caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| In-house, Brisbane or Queensland | A$105,000–A$110,000 a year (SEEK) | One designer's salary for ongoing work, plus a Figma Full seat from US$16 a month (Figma) | Add about A$12,600–A$13,200 super if the ad excluded it |
| In-house, Melbourne | A$115,000–A$125,000 a year (SEEK) | Same role, dearer market: UI/UX in Melbourne | Job-ad data |
| In-house, Sydney | A$120,000–A$140,000 a year (SEEK) | Highest of the three: UI/UX in Sydney | Job-ad data |
| Studio in Brisbane | Minimum projects of $1,000+ to $50,000+ (Clutch) | One project, scoped by the studio | No currency; no deliverables named |
| Codingclave, remote | One fixed AUD band, such as A$2,400–A$19,500 for an online store | Design, prototype, the test rounds in your scope, and the build | A project price, not a year of capacity |
An employee is paid whether or not there is design work that week, while a fixed project ends when the agreed screens are approved. A product that changes every week justifies a hire. A redesign with an end date rarely does.

UX design by Brisbane industry: example scopes and the band each lands in
Arvo, Vivo and Spark give no Brisbane industry examples; the 2021 Census and recent ABS counts do. Greater Brisbane reached 2,833,524 people by June 2025, growing 2.1% in a year, second only to Perth among the capitals (ABS). The scopes below are worked examples, not client projects.
| Brisbane signal | Example scope | Band | Related page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hospitals are the top industry of employment: 62,917 people, 5.1% (2021 Census) | A specialist or allied-health clinic: booking, new-patient intake and referral upload on a phone. About eight screens, patient and reception roles, one test round with existing patients. | Business website; custom software once a staff triage view is added | Clinic and health websites; NDIS intake |
| Takeaway food services employ 2.3% of workers, against 1.9% nationally (2021 Census) | A West End café: menu, order and pickup checkout. About six screens, customer and counter views, one round with regulars. | Online store | Restaurants and cafés; Restaurant POS software |
| Professionals are 24.7% of employed people, against 21.4% across Queensland (2021 Census) | A Newstead accounting firm: enquiry form, document upload and a client portal. About 12 screens, client and staff roles, two test rounds. | Custom software | Custom software in Brisbane |
| Fastest-growing areas, ABS 2024–25: Ripley (Ipswich) 15%, Morayfield (Moreton Bay) 15% and Greenbank–North Maclean (Logan) 14% growth; Chambers Flat–Logan Reserve added 1,800 people | A Ripley builder: quote request with site photos and a callback booking. About five screens, one round with past customers. | Business website | Tradie and trade businesses |
| Queensland added 19,244 businesses in 2025–26 (ABS business counts) | A new business launching online: a shop's product page, cart and guest checkout (about seven screens), or an app's onboarding and first task (about 15 screens). | Online store or mobile app | Shopify developers; online stores; app developers |
Name the one task your customers give up on and we'll tell you which band the fix belongs in.

Brisbane 2032: booking, access and language UX to have live before the Games
None of the Brisbane UI/UX pages we reviewed on 6 Oct 2026 mentions the Games. Brisbane City Council lists the Olympics from 23 July to 8 August 2032 and the Paralympics from 24 August to 5 September 2032. Hotels, tour operators, cafés, venues and transport-adjacent businesses will take bookings from people who have never been to Brisbane.
Which flows to redesign first
The booking or ticket path, the menu, opening hours and directions, and a page describing physical access. These are the screens a first-time visitor opens on a phone before deciding to come.
An order for the work
Fix the booking path on mobile first, because it earns the money. Add the second-language pages next, then the access page. Leave room for a test round with real customers before demand peaks, so problems surface while there is time to change them.
A venue access page, separate from WCAG
WCAG covers how the website works with assistive technology. An access page describes the place itself: step-free entry, accessible toilets, hearing loops, quiet spaces, parking and drop-off, with photos. Paralympics visitors will look for both. The design criteria for the site are mapped in our national WCAG 2.2 section.
Menus for visitors who read another language
In 2021, 20.3% of Greater Brisbane households used a language other than English at home, led by Mandarin and Vietnamese (ABS). Games visitors widen that mix. A visible language switcher and dishes shown with photos and prices help someone order without a translation app.
Send your booking page for a 2032 check and we'll say which band the changes fall in.

Usability testing with Brisbane customers, run on AEST evenings
PeakXD at Eight Mile Plains lists tree and benchmark testing, and suits government-scale research. Where one flow needs checking, we test remotely: what matters is when sessions run, since your participants may be in the CBD or out at Morayfield.
Who takes part
Recent buyers, enquiries and newsletter subscribers talk the way your market does. You send the invitation; we write the screener and the task script. With no customer list yet, who to recruit and how is agreed in your scope before a round is booked. We keep no Brisbane panel.
Sessions from 5:30 to 8:30pm AEST
Most participants have finished work by then, and the slot still falls inside our working day (1:00–4:00pm in India). Each person shares a screen over video and attempts the tasks while we ask what made them stop. Watch live, or play the recording the next morning.
The same clock all year, and up the coast
Queensland keeps AEST with no daylight saving (timeanddate), so a 6pm session in January is still 6pm in July. Businesses on the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast share the same session times.
What you receive after a round
Problems ranked by severity, short clips of the worst moments, and frames already redrawn for the top fixes.

Design gates on Queensland time: wireframes, UI and prototype
A gate is the review that closes one design stage, and nothing moves on until you approve it. Every gate opens with a 2:30pm AEST walkthrough. Comments you leave in Figma by 5pm are worked on that evening, and revised frames are usually ready the next morning, Monday to Saturday.
| Gate | What happens after hours | What you approve |
|---|---|---|
| Wireframes | Layouts restructured from your notes | The order of steps in each task |
| UI screens | Colour, type and components applied across the screens | How the product looks and reads in your brand |
| Clickable prototype and test sessions | Findings ranked and the worst problems redrawn | Which fixes go in before handover |
| Handover | Files tidied for your developers, or our build begins | That the design is ready to build |
Sunday messages are picked up on Monday, and 'next morning' describes the usual pattern rather than a promised reply time. Book a 2:30pm AEST video call.

How to shortlist a UX design agency in Brisbane (and read the map pack)
Ask which agency is best for UI/UX design in Brisbane and most answers come from a ranking written by an agency on the list. Whether you need a UI designer in Brisbane for one app or a UX agency in Brisbane for a whole site, four checks narrow the field, and they apply to us too.
Check what each map-pack firm actually sells
On 6 Oct 2026 the pack showed Juno Creative (4.9 from 42), a design agency in Fortitude Valley whose site leads with brand and packaging; Unlmtd Agency (4.7 from 25), listed as a graphic designer; and PeakXD (5.0 from 37), listed as a design agency but selling research, testing and training. The stars rate a business, not its interface design.
Read Clutch’s order with care
Clutch says it may earn a fee for some placements, so sponsored spots sit among the ranked ones. Use the minimum column in our table to cross off firms whose floor sits above your budget before you contact anyone.
Ask for web or app UI case studies
Client names say little about how a firm handles a checkout. Ask for two screen-based case studies: the failing task, what changed, and how they knew it worked.
Give every firm the same brief
Screen count, user roles, test rounds and platform. The same four facts going in make the totals coming back comparable.

Design-only for your Brisbane developers, and where AI fits in 2026
Arvo's FAQ says yes to existing development teams but names no price. Here is how ours works.
Figma files for your own developers
With no build included, design-only work is quoted from your screen list, user roles and test rounds, within the band for what your developers will build: website, store, app or portal. Components suit their stack, from Next.js to Flutter. Need the build too? See app developers, custom software or WordPress developers in Brisbane.
What AI speeds up, and what stays human
Figma's Professional plan lists 3,000 AI credits a month with each Full seat (Figma pricing), so first-draft layouts and variants arrive faster. Deciding which customer tasks matter, spotting the field where a real customer gives up, and judging a screen for screen-reader users remain human calls.
Pricing in AUD
Fixed AUD bands with UI/UX design inside
Design is priced inside the build band, not billed by the hour. Where a project lands within its band depends on screens, user roles, screen states and test rounds, and your scope states how many moderated test rounds are included. Whole-website costs sit on our Brisbane overview.
