Overview
Four things decide whether it works. Customers need a call button they can hit with one thumb and a quote form that takes photos. The site needs the QBCC or electrical licence wording Queensland law asks for, and it should name only the suburbs you really cover. Ashish Sharma leads every build from Lucknow, India, working 2:30pm–11:30pm Brisbane time, so a message sent after knock-off lands inside our working day.

Quick answer
How much does a tradie website cost in Brisbane?
With us, a WordPress tradie site is A$900–A$4,300 and a custom build A$1,200–A$6,900, fixed in writing. Hosting can stay on your own account, so the build fee is all you pay us; our optional A$80–A$240 monthly care plan is extra. Over two years, published Brisbane-area prices run from $3,550 to $7,530+ at Anchor Web Co. (hosting included) and $4,292 or $7,092 at Your Trade Partner, plus domain and hosting after year one for its Package 1. (Checked 7 Oct 2026.)
- Lowest published build nearby: $799 flat, hosting not stated
- Anchor Web Co.: $3,550 to $7,530+ by year two, hosting included
- Your Trade Partner: $4,292 or $7,092 over two years, before year-two domain and hosting
- Ours with the optional plan: A$2,820–A$10,060 for WordPress over two years
- Built remotely from India, 2:30pm–11:30pm Brisbane time
- Fixed figure in writing before you pay anything

Tradie website prices in Brisbane, added up to year two
Four of the provider pages we read for this search print a build price; none adds up what you're still paying a year after launch, so we did the sums. Running costs are quoted in each provider's own words, GST wording included, and unpublished figures are marked as such.
Comparing web design prices for any Brisbane business, not just trades? See our Brisbane price guide.
| Provider (where based) | Build | Running cost as published | Year one | Year two (cumulative) | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tradie Websites Co (Aroona, Sunshine Coast, per its Google listing) | $799 flat, paid when you're happy | Not stated | $799 + hosting (not stated) | Not stated | Tradie Websites Co |
| JB Web Design (Brisbane) | From $1,099 + GST | Hosting and maintenance packages offered; prices not published on the tradie pages | Not calculable | Not calculable | JB Web Design |
| Anchor Web Co., Simple Trade Launch (Brisbane) | $1,970 | $790 a year Site Care incl. hosting; "GST is added only if legally applicable" | $2,760 | $3,550 | Anchor Web Co. |
| Anchor Web Co., Local Business (up to 5 pages) | $3,850 | $790 a year | $4,640 | $5,430 | Anchor Web Co. |
| Anchor Web Co., Growth (8+ pages) | From $5,950 | $790 a year | From $6,740 | From $7,530 | Anchor Web Co. |
| Your Trade Partner, Package 1 (3 pages) | $1,900 | $299 a quarter; domain and hosting listed for Year 1; no GST wording found | $3,096 | $4,292 + domain and hosting after year 1 (not stated) | Your Trade Partner |
| Your Trade Partner, Package 2 (6 pages) | $3,900 | $399 a quarter, "reviewed annually" | $5,496 | $7,092 if unchanged | Your Trade Partner |
| Your Trade Partner, Package 3 | From $7,900 (most $8,500–$15,000) | Not published | Not calculable | Not calculable | Your Trade Partner |
| Codingclave, WordPress (Lucknow, India; remote) | A$900–A$4,300 | Optional A$80–A$240 a month incl. hosting (totals assume the plan); ex GST: we're an overseas supplier not registered for Australian GST | A$1,860–A$7,180 | A$2,820–A$10,060 | How we total two years |
| Codingclave, custom build | A$1,200–A$6,900 | Same optional plan | A$2,160–A$9,780 | A$3,120–A$12,660 | Our price list |
Where we come out, plainly. Over two years, the top of our WordPress band with the top care plan costs more than Anchor Web Co.'s five-page tier (A$10,060 against $5,430). Most of that gap is the optional plan. Host on your own account and skip it, and the build fee is the only thing you pay us.
Ask any quote under $1,000:
- Who is the domain's registrant?
- Where is hosting billed, and for how much a year?
- How many pages, and does each trade get one?
- Who makes changes after launch, and at what cost?
- If you leave, what comes with you?
A low price can be fair; the answers show what year two looks like.
Ads are a separate purchase. Agencies running ads for trades charge a monthly retainer plus the ad spend you pay Google; see our Brisbane Google Ads page. Nobody can guarantee rankings or leads, and Anchor Web Co. likewise says visibility and enquiries depend on more than the build.
WhatsApp your trade, suburbs and what you have now (no site, old site or Facebook only) for one fixed figure and your year-two total.

The licence number and wording a Brisbane trade website must carry in 2026
Queensland hands trade licensing to two regulators, and each sets its own rule for advertising. Electricians fall under the Electrical Safety Regulation 2026, in force since 1 September 2026, which replaced the 2013 Regulation; the three-part rule that sat in s65 now sits in s188. Builders, plumbers and drainers, roofers and the other QBCC-licensed trades follow the QBCC's rule. None of the Brisbane pages we could read for this search on 7 Oct 2026 sets out what either rule requires. This is general information, not legal advice.
| Rule | Electrical contractors (ESR 2026 s188) | QBCC licensees (builders, plumbers and drainers, roofers and others) |
|---|---|---|
| Who it applies to | Electrical contractor licence holders advertising their business | QBCC licensees, plus unlicensed contractors advertising building work |
| Name to show | The name on the licence, or your registered business name if you trade under one | Your QBCC licensed name; a trading name can appear as well, never instead |
| Words required | A statement that you're licensed under the Act (the regulation's own wording) | A statement that the business is licensed under the QBCC Act |
| Number required | Your electrical contractor licence number | Your QBCC licence number, clearly readable and given reasonable prominence |
| Where it counts | Any advertisement about the business; s188 names no media, so we treat site, Google profile and directory listings as covered | Websites, social media pages and online service directories, with hipages, Gumtree and ServiceSeeking given as examples |
| Maximum penalty | 40 penalty units: A$6,908 at the A$172.70 unit value that applies from 1 July 2026 | s54: 35 penalty units ($6,044 individual, $30,222 company, per QBCC). s53C: $17,270 or $86,350 if an unlicensed contractor omits the value statement |
| Extras | None in s188 | No QBCC logo. Unlicensed contractors state a $3,300 limit, or $0 for plumbing, gas fitting, fire protection, mechanical services and similar work |
| Source | ESR 2026, s188; penalty unit value | QBCC advertising |
QBCC looks without being asked. It says it proactively audits websites and online directories, and its own sample compliant ad carries the line "We service all Brisbane suburbs": licence details belong beside ordinary sales copy, not in small print.
Where we place it. The full line sits in the site-wide footer as live text, never in a logo image; the number also sits by the call button in the header, and your Google profile and listings carry the same wording. Sparkies who also hold a QBCC licence show both lines.
The full QBCC list is in our QBCC website checklist; other states are in the national licence table.
Send your URL and we'll check your licence number and wording free.

Storm season set-up, October to March
Brisbane City Council says storm season typically runs October to March, with heavy rain, strong winds and hail; its free Brisbane Severe Weather Alert service is worth signing up to. On 31 October 2020 the Bureau of Meteorology recorded hail up to 14 cm across on a path from Amberley to Logan's northern suburbs, with gusts over 100 km/h around Moreton Bay. The 2026–27 season opened this month: set these four up now, before the first big cell.
A storm-damage banner you switch on from your phone
Write it while it's calm: the storm work you take on, the areas you cover and a button through to the form. It's one toggle on your phone, and we practise it with you at launch so the first go isn't on the night.
An after-hours triage form
One question first: emergency, quote or booking? Then photos, the suburb and, for storm work, insurer and claim number, ready for when the assessor rings. Emergencies reach your phone by SMS or WhatsApp; quotes and bookings wait in your inbox or job app until morning.
Text back the calls you miss
Missed callers get a text with a link to that form; the wiring and running cost are explained on the national tradie page.
A plan for when the automation stalls
Networks and apps can fail in the same storm. How a flow should retry, queue and alert a person is on our Brisbane automation page; the rule underneath: a failed step gets queued and flagged to a person, not dropped.
Message us before the next storm about the banner and triage form: included in a new build, or a fixed add-on price for the site you already have.

What a Queensland sparky, plumber, builder or roofer needs on the site first
Tap-to-call and a quote form are the floor for every trade. What goes on next depends on the trade, how crowded it is and how many newcomers it gets each year. ABS figures for Queensland as a whole, 2024–25:
| Trade | QLD businesses | Entry rate 2024–25 | First build priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrical services | 10,248 | 12.8% | The s188 licence line, then switchboard and EV charger pages |
| Plumbing | 5,763 | 13.4% | QBCC line, hot-water photo upload, after-hours triage |
| House construction | 11,556 | 18.9% | Project stages and an approvals explainer |
| Carpentry | 10,156 | 17.9% | Gallery sorted by job type |
| Landscape construction | 3,697 | 18.3% | Before-and-after slider and an area map |
| Roofing | 1,443 | 19.1% | Storm-damage page with insurer fields |
| Painting and decorating | 4,635 | 16.1% | Interior/exterior split and a colour-consult booking |
| Air conditioning and heating | 1,549 | Not in our extract | Pre-summer service booking with model and age fields |
Before any of this: The phone checks every trade site should pass (speed, tap-to-call, first-screen wording) are in our ten-second check.
Leaning on hipages or Facebook? What your own site adds alongside directory leads is weighed on the national page.
Job apps. If enquiries should open a job in ServiceM8 or similar, app-by-app options are in our national job-app section; any ServiceM8 website integration is scoped against your account before you sign.
New businesses. In 2024–25 close to one house builder, roofer or landscaper in five was new, and a first site has to look credible within a week or two: that's the WordPress band (1–2 weeks). WordPress against site builders for construction firms is covered on our Brisbane WordPress page.

Northside, southside and the outer LGAs: service areas that hold up
"Web design brisbane northside" is a real search, and for travel time the river does split the city. One site can still cover both sides and the outer councils, provided every suburb it names is one where you take jobs.
One site, coverage grouped by council
A single coverage page, grouped the way homeowners think: Moreton Bay (Strathpine, Brendale, Albany Creek, Narangba, Mango Hill), Logan (Springwood, Shailer Park, Loganholme, Yarrabilba), Ipswich (Redbank Plains, Springfield Lakes, Goodna), the southside (Rocklea, Acacia Ridge, Salisbury), the north-west (Everton Park, The Gap), the bayside (Wynnum, Manly, Tingalpa) and Redland (Capalaba, Cleveland, Victoria Point). It keeps you accurate too: Strathpine is Moreton Bay, not Brisbane City.
A suburb page only where the jobs are
Give a suburb its own page when you can show jobs there: photos, travel time from your base and the work that comes up. Without those, it stays on the coverage list.
A Google profile area that matches
List the same areas in your Business Profile, inside Google's limits; the rules are in our national Google profile section.
No copy-and-swap suburb pages
Pages cloned with only the suburb name swapped, or blocks of suburb names with nothing said about any of them, still appear on Brisbane tradie marketing sites. They give homeowners nothing and Google no reason to rank them. Whether suburb pages are worth building is weighed on our Brisbane SEO page.

Most Brisbane construction businesses have no employees, so the site has to run itself
The ABS counts actively trading businesses by council area at 30 June each year; the latest figures (June 2025) came out in December 2025. Construction, which takes in builders and the specialist trades, is the largest industry in four of these five council areas, and in Logan and Redland nearly one business in four is a construction business.
| LGA | Construction businesses | Share of all businesses | Non-employing share | Rank among industries |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brisbane | 18,377 | 12.6% | 62.3% | 3rd |
| Moreton Bay | 7,624 | 22.7% | 52.3% | 1st |
| Logan | 7,166 | 24.3% | 58.9% | 1st |
| Redland | 3,117 | 24.2% | 53.8% | 1st |
| Ipswich | 2,541 | 18.3% | 56.5% | 1st |
| Five-LGA total | 38,825 | – | – | – |
In the Brisbane LGA alone the count rose by 514 in a year, from 17,863 to 18,377. Of those 18,377, 11,458 have no employees, so the person who quotes, does the work and chases the invoice is usually the only one who updates the website. We build for that: adding a job photo, switching on a banner or listing a new suburb should take minutes on a phone, with no call to us needed.

For Brisbane builders: a Queenslander approvals page beats a suburb page
Owners of old timber houses in Red Hill, Bardon or Ashgrove often want to know which approvals a job needs before they ask for a price. A page that answers it, about the streets you build in, gives searchers more than another suburb page. Brisbane City Council's guidance has two layers:
- Building approval, through a licensed building certifier, before extensions, raising and renovations.
- Planning approval to demolish or remove a building in the pre-1911 building overlay, in the traditional building character overlay where the whole building predates 1946, or on a heritage-listed site.
Project stages, start to handover
Design, certifier, any planning approval, the build and handover, with the owner's decisions at each step.
Who arranges what
Which approvals and consultants you organise and which the owner does, as you really run jobs, so nobody assumes the other side has lodged something.
How variations are priced
Old houses hide surprises behind the weatherboards; show how a variation is written up, approved and priced before the extra work starts.
Describe your process rather than giving planning advice, and tell every owner to confirm their own property's overlays with council. Stage photos from your own Ashgrove raise or Bardon extension beat any paragraph.

Four Brisbane example scopes, with fixed AUD bands
None of these is a client; they show what each trade's first build would include. No results are claimed. Each band comes straight from our price list.
| Example | Pages and features | Licence line | Our band |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strathpine electrician | Home, switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, storm banner, photo quote form | ESR 2026 s188 | WordPress A$900–A$4,300, or a custom business site at A$1,200–A$6,900 if quotes feed a job app |
| Logan plumber | Springwood and Shailer Park pages backed by real jobs, after-hours triage, hot-water photo upload | QBCC | WordPress A$900–A$4,300 |
| Red Hill Queenslander renovator | Approvals explainer, project stages, variation pricing, gallery | QBCC | Custom business site A$1,200–A$6,900 |
| Any trade with a site already live | Storm banner and after-hours triage form added, licence wording checked | Whichever applies | Included in a new build; on an existing site, a fixed add-on figure quoted before work starts |
Where a job lands inside its band depends on page count, how many suburb pages the real work supports and whether quotes feed a job app. You get one figure in writing before any payment.

Questions to put to any Brisbane tradie web quote about ownership
No Brisbane tradie web page we read says who owns the domain, hosting or site after launch. Anchor Web Co. runs site and hosting as one managed service under its care plan, Your Trade Partner lists domain and hosting for year one alongside a quarterly fee, and JB Web Design and Tradie Websites Co don't say. Any of those can work; just get the answers on paper. Ask whoever quotes:
5 questions to ask
- Is the .com.au registered to your ABN, on a registrar account you can log into?
- Does your Google Business Profile list you as Owner, with the provider as a removable manager?
- Are hosting and analytics in your name, or written up as transferable?
- Does the signed agreement give you the code and content once you've paid?
- If you leave, what's handed over: a full export, every login, and how quickly?
With us, the domain, Google profile and analytics sit in your name from the start, and hosting is either your own account or, on our plan, transferable to you on exit. Code, content and the exit handover are written into the agreement before you sign. How copyright assignment works in Australia is explained on our Brisbane page.

Working with us from Queensland, and when a studio in Brisbane suits you better
Codingclave Development LLP is the firm Ashish Sharma started in Lucknow, India, in 2017, and he leads every build. We have no office, phone line or company in Australia; you reach us on WhatsApp (+91 92771 84741), email or video call. Queensland skips daylight saving, so our Monday-to-Saturday hours land at 2:30pm–11:30pm in Brisbane all year: 2.5 hours alongside a 9-to-5, or about an hour before knock-off on a 7am–3:30pm site day, then the evening. Until 4 April 2027 Brisbane sits an hour behind Sydney and Melbourne; the detail is on our Brisbane page.
