Overview
Where management makes sense it starts at A$990 a month, month-to-month, in a Google Ads account registered to your business and paid from your card. Below: Coast click costs for eight categories (a plumber's click averages A$56.93, a pilates studio's A$4.20), the all-in monthly bill with GST, and what eight Coast-ranking providers publish. Only Websites That Sell and we print a fee.

Quick answer
How much should I pay someone to manage my Google Ads on the Sunshine Coast?
Add up all three lines, not just the fee. On a A$1,500 monthly budget, Google bills the A$1,500 plus A$150 GST, so the month comes to A$2,194.50 at Websites That Sell's entry fee (A$495 + GST) and from A$2,640 with us at A$990. At Coast click prices the budget does more of the deciding than the fee: the same A$1,500 buys about 26 plumber clicks but about 113 accountant clicks. Pay a manager when the clicks your budget buys can plausibly earn that fee back; how many enquiries follow is something no provider can promise. Send your trade and budget on WhatsApp and we'll run this sum on your own keywords.
- Providers naming a Coast budget floor mostly say A$1,500+ a month
- A$10 a day tops out at A$304 of spend, or A$334.40 once GST is added
- An in-house hire runs about A$7,900–A$9,300 a month in salary and super
- We cost more than the cheapest Coast entry fee, and our written scope names what that buys

What a Sunshine Coast click costs in 2026, and how far A$10 a day goes
Digital Nomads HQ's Sunshine Coast Search Demand Report pulled Keyword Planner data in September 2026; eight of its categories are quoted below with attribution, and the click counts are ours. The A$304 column is what A$10 a day buys, since Google caps a month at 30.4 days of the daily budget (budget rules).
| Category | Coast avg CPC | Clicks on A$304 (A$10/day) | Clicks on A$1,500 | Clicks on A$3,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lawyers | A$78.59 | 4 | 19 | 38 |
| Plumbers | A$56.93 | 5 | 26 | 53 |
| Painters | A$44.02 | 7 | 34 | 68 |
| Air conditioning | A$36.27 | 8 | 41 | 83 |
| Electricians | A$30.10 | 10 | 50 | 100 |
| Accountants | A$13.27 | 23 | 113 | 226 |
| Real estate | A$11.35 | 27 | 132 | 264 |
| Pilates | A$4.20 | 72 | 357 | 714 |
Counts are rounded at each category's average.
The Coast runs dearer than the country. Of 17 categories DNHQ set against its national baseline, 12 cost more here: lawyers by 171%, painters by 132%, plumbers by 23%. Real estate (59% cheaper) and electricians (18% cheaper) go the other way. There is no tourism category, so operators should pull their own figures. National figures are in our Australia-wide CPC table.
So is A$10 a day enough? For a pilates studio, about 72 clicks gives a campaign something to learn from. For a plumber, 5 clicks is a trial.
Tell us your trade and the suburbs you service on WhatsApp and we'll pull the Coast CPCs for your own keyword list.

Fee, spend and GST: what a Coast campaign costs all-in each month
A manager's quote covers one line of three. Ad spend goes from the card in your own account straight to Google Australia Pty Limited, which adds 10% GST for accounts with an Australian business address (Google's tax page). The table totals all three at A$1,500, the starting budget three of the eight providers name, and at A$3,000.
| Who manages it | Ad spend to Google | GST on spend (10%, invoiced by Google) | Management fee | Monthly total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You, DIY | A$1,500 | A$150 | A$0 | A$1,650 |
| Websites That Sell, entry fee | A$1,500 | A$150 | A$495 + GST (A$544.50) | A$2,194.50 |
| Codingclave, from | A$1,500 | A$150 | from A$990 | from A$2,640 |
| Codingclave, from | A$3,000 | A$300 | from A$990 | from A$4,290 |
| In-house specialist (SEEK + 12% super) | A$1,500 | A$150 | about A$7,900–A$9,300 | about A$9,550–A$10,950 |
Our fee has no GST line. We're an overseas supplier not registered for Australian GST; if you're GST-registered, ask your accountant about reverse charge. An owner who claims GST back should compare ex-GST: at A$1,500 of spend, A$1,995 a month with Websites That Sell's entry fee against A$2,490 with us. Like for like, we're dearer.
What the extra buys. Websites That Sell lists no inclusions, term or setup fee. Our written scope does: an audit before a fee is agreed, search-term reviews with new negatives, tracking test-fired before launch, and licence details checked on the landing page.
In-house. SEEK puts a digital marketing specialist at A$85,000–A$100,000 a year nationally; with 12% super that is roughly A$7,900–A$9,300 a month before leave, payroll tax or software.
When a fee won't pay its way. One high-CPC service on under about A$1,500 of spend leaves too few clicks to earn a monthly fee back; a one-off setup you then run yourself can be the better buy, and we'll say so. If the website is the weak link, our Sunshine Coast web design page prices a fix.
Send a screenshot of your account's last 90 days overview and we'll tell you whether a retainer makes sense at your spend.

Eight providers that rank for Sunshine Coast Google Ads, plus us: what each one publishes
We read the Google Ads pages of the providers on page one for Sunshine Coast Google Ads searches on 7 October 2026, leaving out a health-only specialist and a general marketing page. Six work from Coast addresses, two are interstate and we are remote.
| Provider (linked) | Works from | Fee on its page | Ad budget it mentions | Contract wording | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Websites That Sell | Forest Glen | From A$495 + GST a month | Average client A$1,500+ | Not stated | Only Coast fee in print; inclusions not listed |
| Kook | Mooloolaba | Not published | Not stated | 'No contracts', month-to-month | Page last updated Dec 2025; second office in Melbourne |
| Digital Nomads HQ | Mooloolaba | Not published | From A$1,500 | 'No contracts' | Ranking page is national, not Coast |
| cloudclicks | Birtinya | Not published | Has run A$500–A$50,000 | Not stated | Client gets full account access |
| Viva Digital | Birtinya | Not published | Not stated | 'No lock-in' (meta description) | Cites '3x to 5x ROI' with no method shown |
| Due North | Twin Waters | Not published | Not stated | Not stated | No % of spend charged; page last updated Jan 2024 |
| CLIQ Marketing Content | Adelaide (interstate) | Flat retainer, amount unpublished | Clients A$1,500+ | Not stated | Claims Premier Partner status |
| David Kloeber | Melbourne (interstate) | Not published | Not stated | No lock-in, 4 weeks' notice | Freelancer; one page template across 14 cities |
| Codingclave (us) | Lucknow, India (remote) | A$990–A$9,800 a month | Set by you, paid to Google | Month-to-month, confirmed in writing | Written audit before a fee is agreed; evening and Saturday calls; no Coast office |
Ask about a setup fee. None of the Coast pages says whether one applies. Interstate, The Online Director prints A$605, A$815 and A$1,025 + GST a month plus an A$840 or A$1,260 setup charge, and Clutch lists Digital Nomads HQ at A$100–A$149 an hour with a A$1,000+ minimum project.
A Coast address earns a map-pack place for searches like this one; it doesn't change how a campaign is run. Before shortlisting anyone, us included, put these questions to every provider.

Two Coast budgets worked through: a Caloundra plumber and a Maroochydore accountant
Arithmetic on published averages, not a forecast and not a past client. Each business puts A$1,500 a month into a Search campaign, pays Google A$150 GST and pays our A$990 band floor, so each month costs A$2,640 all-in. We assume 4 to 8 enquiries per 100 clicks: a range to test in your own account, not a benchmark.
Caloundra plumber, A$56.93 a click
A$1,500 buys about 26 clicks: 1 or 2 enquiries at 4–8 per 100, roughly A$1,250–A$2,500 each all-in. Unless one job carries that margin, management at this budget may not pay. The honest options: narrow to emergency and nearby-suburb searches, show ads only while someone answers the phone, or take a one-off setup so no monthly fee eats the clicks.
Maroochydore accountant, A$13.27 a click
The same A$1,500 buys about 113 clicks: 4 to 9 enquiries, roughly A$290–A$590 each all-in. A bookkeeping client who stays for years can carry that; a one-off return may not. At A$3,000 of spend (about 226 clicks), a A$990 fee falls from about 38% of the month to about 23%.
Your own ceiling: the profit on a typical job divided by the enquiries it takes to win one is the most an enquiry can cost. Both examples assume Search; other options are in our campaign types guide.
Send your trade and average job value on WhatsApp and we'll work out your break-even click price.

Aiming ads at the right Coast suburbs: Presence settings, council lines and drive time
CLIQ lists twelve Coast suburbs without saying how to target them, and Websites That Sell gives suburb targeting a single sentence about keeping a Caloundra salon's ads out of Noosa.
Presence, for trades that travel to the job
Google's default location option is 'Presence or interest', which also reaches people who are only researching the area (location options). A Caloundra plumber gains nothing from a Sydney resident reading up on the Coast, so switch to 'Presence': people in, or regularly in, the places you target. Exclusions always work on presence, whichever option you choose.
Presence or interest, for Noosa and Mooloolaba stays and tours
Visitors plan from home. In the year to December 2024, 69.0% of the Coast's domestic overnight visitors were Queenslanders, about 1.95 million of them from Brisbane (TEQ regional snapshot). A Noosa Heads stay or Mooloolaba tour wants those planners, so keep 'Presence or interest' on; Google reports 5% more search conversions for Travel advertisers who switched, an average rather than a promise. See our accommodation page.
One campaign per council area
Sunshine Coast Council suburbs (Caloundra, Kawana Waters, Maroochydore, Buderim, Nambour, Coolum Beach) and Noosa Shire (Noosa Heads, Noosaville) are separate council areas. A campaign for each gives its own budget and ad copy naming the place.
Drive time, not a circle on the map
A radius from Maroochydore takes in ocean, national park and towns your vans never reach. Pick suburbs by drive time along the Bruce Highway and exclude Gympie or Brisbane if you don't go there. If you do want Brisbane jobs, give them a campaign and budget of their own; our Brisbane Google Ads page covers that market.
Account time zone: Brisbane, chosen once
Pick (GMT+10:00) Brisbane at sign-up. NSW and Victoria moved their clocks forward on 4 October and Queensland didn't, so a Sydney-time account runs your schedule an hour off until April. Standard accounts can no longer change time zone, so a wrong pick means a new account (time zone setting).
Screenshot your Locations settings and send it over and we'll say which option each campaign should use.

QBCC and electrical licence details in Coast ads, plus the clinic rule
Construction makes up 21.3% of businesses in the Sunshine Coast Council area, 8,376 of them at June 2025 (ABS counts), so licensed trades are the Coast's largest group of would-be advertisers, and licence details are the check most Coast campaigns need before launch.
QBCC licensees: the landing page and the assets
The QBCC's advertising guidance says a licensee's advertising must show the name they are licensed under, state that they hold a licence under the QBCC Act, and give the licence number, legibly and reasonably prominently. Websites, social pages and online directories are covered, under section 54 of the QBCC Act, with a maximum of 35 penalty units. We put all three details on each landing page and any image or lead-form asset before launch; the website side is on our tradies page.
Electrical contractors: a parallel ESO rule
The Electrical Safety Office requires electrical contractors to include their registered name and licence number in advertising, websites and social media included. We haven't confirmed ESO's current wording on individual ad formats, so read ESO's guidance and carry the details on the landing page regardless.
Clinics around Birtinya and Kawana
Under section 133 of the National Law, an ad for a regulated health service can't use testimonials about clinical aspects of care (symptoms, treatment or outcomes), so keep patient reviews about results out of headlines, sitelinks, image assets and the landing page, and check any review-based asset before it runs. Cosmetic and injectable clinics also face TGA rules barring public advertising of prescription-only medicines. See our sector rules for ads and clinics page.
General information, not legal advice. Licence details elsewhere on a trade website are covered on our Sunshine Coast web design page.

Coast searches fell in 2026: sizing a budget when demand drops
DNHQ's report also found that across 80+ '[service] sunshine coast' keywords in 21 industries, searches averaged about 21,223 a month from January to August 2026, against 34,990 a year earlier: a 39% fall, with 20 industries down. It puts AI Overviews on about 38% of Coast results.
Tight, transactional keyword lists
'Emergency plumber Buderim' or 'tax accountant Maroochydore' over broad terms.
Ads still sit above the AI Overview
Google shows Search ads above and below AI Overviews and, in Australia, inside them as well (ads and AI Overviews). Where an overview pushes organic listings down, a paid placement can still hold the top.
Set this year’s numbers beside last year’s
Pull your own trade and suburb, say 'plumber Buderim', in Keyword Planner and compare this year's searches and top-of-page bids with the same months of 2025: a budget sized on 2025 volumes expects about 65% more searches than the Coast saw in 2026. Repeat before winter and before summer.
Tourism: lift budgets before the summer peak
Queensland state schools finish term 4 on Friday 11 December 2026, and the summer holidays run to 26 January 2027 (term dates). Raise accommodation and tour budgets from about mid-November, while Brisbane families are still choosing where to go, rather than once the town is full.
Fewer searches means each one counts for more. Send your keyword list and we'll re-pull this year's volumes and bids before you set a budget.

The Coast map pack and your ads: what your own Business Profile adds
Viva Digital (Birtinya), Digital Nomads HQ (Mooloolaba) and Websites That Sell (Forest Glen) hold the map pack for this search, each with a Coast address when we checked in October 2026. Google's Business Profile guidelines exclude virtual offices and remote mailboxes, and we won't rent one, so we're not there.
For your ads, your own profile is what counts. Linked as a location asset, it can add your address, distance and a call button to ads on Search and Maps (location assets). Any work on it happens through access you grant and can remove.
Ads or SEO first? Ads show once approved and stop when spend stops; organic and map-pack work builds slower and keeps paying. Many Coast trades run ads while SEO catches up.

Your account, your card, our evenings: how a Lucknow team runs a Coast campaign
The fair objections to hiring us, one at a time.
We’re offshore, and say so
Ashish Sharma founded Codingclave in Lucknow in 2017 and leads the delivery himself. There is no Codingclave office, ABN or phone line in Australia. With spend on your card and the account in your name, trying us risks our fee for the notice period set in writing, and nothing has to be handed back. If a face-to-face meeting matters, choose a Coast agency.
The clock
Queensland skips daylight saving, so our Coast window holds all year: 2:30pm to 11:30pm, Monday to Saturday. The Coast agencies we checked keep weekday hours (Digital Nomads HQ 8:30 to 5, Kook 9 to 5), so Saturday calls are something we can offer. Mornings you're on the tools anyway; ads run to your schedule and pause from the Google Ads app, and anything sent early is waiting when we start.
Proof before access
Start with read-only access and a written audit: search terms that spent money without enquiries and what they cost, tracking faults found, and whether each campaign's Presence setting fits. Company proof is ★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews), Top Rated on Upwork and 200+ projects since 2017, none of it a Coast result, so judge the audit on its merits.
What stays yours, and where the money goes
Admin stays in your business's name, and everything we build sits inside your account. Ownership of landing page code is confirmed in writing. Spend never passes through us; how our invoice is paid is agreed in writing before you sign.
How we keep in touch
A WhatsApp after knock-off, a Saturday video call, or email for a paper trail. WhatsApp opens to Ashish's Indian number (+91) and runs on your data or Wi-Fi, not international call rates.
No Google Partner badge
We don't hold one. What the badge does and doesn't prove is set out in our provider checklist.
No provider can guarantee you leads, rankings or a set cost per enquiry, and we don't either. What we put in writing is the scope, the fee and how you leave.
Ask how to give read-only access: it takes a couple of minutes and you can remove it any time.
