Overview
WordPress costs A$900–A$4,300 over 1–2 weeks; a custom build is A$1,200–A$6,900 over 1–3 weeks, both counted from content sign-off and priced in writing. In Melbourne's eight metro districts 28.1% of plans are fully self-managed (20.8% nationally), so more families choose from your site before they ring. Ashish Sharma's founder-led team works from Lucknow, India, through Melbourne afternoons and evenings.

Quick answer
How much does NDIS website design cost in Melbourne, and how long does it take?
With Codingclave, a Melbourne NDIS website costs A$900–A$4,300 on WordPress (1–2 weeks) or A$1,200–A$6,900 custom-built (1–3 weeks), ex GST and timed from content approval, with optional care at A$80–A$240 a month. Of the Melbourne-based NDIS sellers we found, only 21 Webs in Werribee prints a price: from $1,399, with no GST basis or build time on its page when we read it on 7 October 2026. NDIS specialists with no stated Melbourne address advertise from $750 (a Google ad) to $5,000 + GST (2Brownies' top package, the only one stating + GST); where they give a build time, it runs about 4 to 12 weeks.

Two interstate specialists also rank here: NDIS Website Designs in Brisbane (from $990, 6–12 weeks, care plans $79–$129 a month, against our A$80–A$240) and Digital Nomads HQ on the Sunshine Coast (quote only, 6–10 weeks). Both appear in our national NDIS price table.
Prices checked 6–7 October 2026; NDIA figures on this page are at 30 June 2026 and are refreshed after each quarterly release. Ad prices are as shown on 6 October; check the seller's own page before comparing.

An India-based team on Melbourne evenings: hours, your written quote and participant data
Codingclave is Ashish Sharma's founder-led team in Lucknow, India, set up in 2017. We work remotely over WhatsApp, email and video, with no office, staff or ABN in Australia.
Hours on Melbourne clocks
Monday to Saturday, 3:30pm–12:30am AEDT until 4 April 2027, which leaves an hour and a half of overlap with a 9-to-5 day. From 5 April 2027 it moves to 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST, two and a half hours. In practice a vacancy or waitlist change sent at 4pm can be live that evening, and feedback sent by 10pm is worked on that night, with the changes waiting for you in the morning.
What’s in your written quote
Every page and district listed by name, the price in Australian dollars with no GST added, and the domain, hosting account and analytics set up in your name from day one. Code copyright, the payment schedule and the hosting region are spelt out in the same document, as the pricing note explains.
Participant data and an overseas developer
We build and test forms with dummy entries and don't need a login to your live submissions; after launch, referrals go to your inbox or care software. Because the hosting region is written into the quote, you can name it against the HPP 9 row of the Victorian checklist below.
What we can and can’t show you
★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews), 200+ projects since 2017, Top Rated on Upwork, founder-led delivery. We have no NDIS or Australian case studies yet, so ask for a written scope and a sample page before committing to the full build.

Where Melbourne’s 144,496 NDIS participants live, and which area pages your website needs
The eight metropolitan service districts held 144,496 NDIS participants at 30 June 2026, 68.5% of Victoria's 210,846, up 5.1% from 137,513 a year earlier (our sum of the NDIA's council rows). Use the table to decide which two to four district pages to build.
One page per district, not one per suburb
An area page earns its place when it tells a family something useful: supports delivered there, home visits or a centre, travel limits, the current waitlist and where staff are based. Fifty clones with swapped suburb names read to Google as doorway pages. Two to four solid district pages beat a long tail of thin ones.
Pick districts by budget and competition, not just headcount
Inner East Melbourne has the fewest participants but the highest average budget, $88,000. Outer East had the fewest registered providers paid, 593, against 1,094 in North East Melbourne, but these counts reflect only the 3.3% of agency-managed plans, so treat them as a rough guide. Weigh both against where your workers can travel: the figures describe the market, they don't promise enquiries.
Geelong is a separate district
Greater Geelong belongs to the Barwon district, and alone had 12,451 participants, more than any Melbourne council, Casey included. If you cover both, give Geelong its own page; see Geelong.
| Service district | Active participants | Average annualised budget | Registered providers paid, Jun 2026 quarter* | Largest councils (participants) | Area page to consider |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bayside Peninsula | 25,262 | $82,000 | 914 | Frankston 6,047; Mornington Peninsula 5,665 | Frankston and Mornington Peninsula |
| Western Melbourne | 21,053 | $75,000 | 1,090 | Wyndham 10,453; Moonee Valley 3,189 | Wyndham, then Hobsons Bay (2,852) on the same western corridor |
| Southern Melbourne | 20,599 | $84,000 | 900 | Casey 11,988; Greater Dandenong 4,327 | Casey and Greater Dandenong |
| North East Melbourne | 20,021 | $83,000 | 1,094 | Whittlesea 7,662; Darebin 4,618 | Whittlesea and Darebin |
| Hume Moreland | 14,676 | $76,000 | 919 | Hume 9,797; Merri-bek (still Moreland in the NDIA file) 4,879 | Hume and Merri-bek |
| Outer East Melbourne | 14,622 | $76,000 | 593 | Yarra Ranges 5,497; Knox 4,812 | Yarra Ranges and Knox |
| Brimbank Melton | 14,603 | $78,000 | 885 | Melton 8,623; Brimbank 5,980 | Melton and Brimbank |
| Inner East Melbourne | 13,660 | $88,000 | 728 | Whitehorse 4,220; Monash 3,723 | Whitehorse and Monash |
*Provider counts overlap between districts, so they can't be added up, and they cover only NDIA-managed payments to registered providers, not unregistered providers or plan- and self-managed spending. Council names follow the NDIA file's 2020 boundaries.
Getting those pages found is covered on SEO for Melbourne businesses. Nobody can guarantee rankings, referrals or enquiries, us included. Delivering supports in New South Wales or Queensland too? Our Sydney and Brisbane NDIS pages set out the participant data for those cities.
Tell us your district and supports and we'll suggest which area pages to build. Free, no obligation.

Why Melbourne families compare NDIS provider websites before they call
Melbourne plans are fully self-managed far more often than the national average. A family running its own plan, or using a plan manager, may choose unregistered as well as registered providers, so it judges you on your site. Plain answers on registration, prices and areas also help you appear for searches like 'registered ndis provider in melbourne'.
Most Melbourne participants can choose an unregistered provider
In the eight districts, 96.5% of plans are plan-managed or self-managed and 3.3% are agency-managed; the rest is rounding. So state whether you're registered, show prices against the NDIS Pricing Arrangements (what people mean by an 'NDIS price guide') and explain how you invoice. Wording registration without implying NDIA approval is covered in the national logo and wording section.
What a plan manager looks for
Your ABN, a sample invoice layout, the line items you claim and a named contact for remittance questions, in a short 'For plan managers' block on the contact page.
What a support coordinator looks for
Current capacity and waitlist, the districts you cover, and a referral route that takes minutes. The form fields are listed in the national referral form section.
| Plan management type | 8 Melbourne districts | Australia |
|---|---|---|
| Plan-managed | 63.7% | 68.8% |
| Fully self-managed | 28.1% | 20.8% |
| Partly self-managed | 4.7% | 4.2% |
| Agency-managed | 3.3% | 6.0% |

Pages for parents: 44% of Melbourne participants are 14 or under
Across the eight districts, autism is the primary disability for 43.5% of participants (62,910 people), ahead of intellectual disability (11.9%), developmental delay (10.3%) and psychosocial disability (10.2%). Children aged 0–8 number 33,390 and those aged 9–14 another 30,200, so the reader is often a parent or carer. The patterns below are design choices, not clinical claims.
Predictable layout and low motion
Identical navigation on every page; no autoplay video, carousels or pop-ups; calm colours with strong contrast. A page that behaves the same way every time is easier for a busy parent to use.
A first-visit page
Walk through the first appointment or home visit: length, who will be there, what to bring, photos of the entrance and room, and sensory notes on lighting, noise and waiting. Parents use it to prepare a child.
Waitlist and intake status kept current
A dated line on each service page, such as 'taking new clients in Casey; waitlist in Frankston', answers the first question. Publish it only if someone will update it; a stale note does more harm than none.
Writing for a tired parent on a phone
Short numbered steps, one idea per paragraph, a call or WhatsApp button that never moves, and an Easy Read summary of each core service.
AdTuna offers overlays and 2Brownies a widget; we test to WCAG 2.2 AA by hand (criteria in the national WCAG 2.2 section). Since January 2025 the Victorian Government has held its own sites to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, a sensible bar for a provider even though a private business isn't bound by it.

Victorian rules for an NDIS provider website (general information, not legal advice)
None of the ranking agency pages we could read mentions Victorian privacy law, yet the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) applies to disability information held by private providers of any size, alongside the federal Privacy Act. The checklist goes page by page; have your adviser confirm the final wording.
| Page or element | What to add | The Victorian basis | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Privacy page | Name the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) next to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and explain how to ask for access | The Act applies whatever the size of the organisation, so a sole trader is covered | legislation.vic.gov.au |
| Enquiry and referral forms | A short notice by the send button: what you collect, why, who reads it, how to see or correct it | The Health Privacy Principles cover personal information gathered while a disability service is provided | health.vic.gov.au |
| Free-text 'tell us about your needs' boxes | Pick-lists for supports and suburb; hold diagnosis details and reports for the intake stage | HPP 1 sets the circumstances in which identifying health information may be collected | health.vic.gov.au |
| Where form entries and backups are stored | State the hosting location; with us it is named in your quote | HPP 9 deals with health information sent outside Victoria | legislation.vic.gov.au |
| Complaints and feedback page | Your own process, then the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and the Health Complaints Commissioner for privacy | Complaints about interferences with privacy under the Act go to the Health Complaints Commissioner | health.vic.gov.au |
Logo, 'registered provider' wording and ad pixels on referral forms are national rules, covered on our NDIS provider websites page.

Vietnamese, Mandarin, Greek, Punjabi and Arabic pages written by a human translator, not a plugin
In 2021, 670,835 Greater Melbourne households (37.7%) used a language other than English at home, led by Mandarin (4.3% of residents), Vietnamese (2.3%), Greek (2.1%), Punjabi (2.0%) and Arabic (1.8%). Searches such as 'vietnamese ndis provider in melbourne' suggest families want workers who share their language.
Start with the language your staff actually speak
A page promising a Vietnamese-speaking worker you can't roster sets up a complaint. Build pages only for languages your team can serve, and say which days that worker is available.
Translate three pages first
The first-visit page, the enquiry-form collection notice and the contact page, where a misunderstanding costs most. Service detail can follow.
Why a browser plugin isn’t enough
An automatic translation plugin (Make My Website offers a 'language plugin') changes consent wording with nobody checking the result, and gives Google no separate page for people searching in that language. We build each language as its own page from a human translator's text that you approve; who supplies the translation is agreed in the quote.
Fonts, line height and right-to-left layouts are design questions, covered on UI/UX design in Melbourne.

Website builder, NDIS WordPress theme or custom build: what a Melbourne provider should buy
For an NDIS site the right builder is the one that can carry a collection notice, pass a keyboard test and store form entries where you can account for them.
| Option | Suits | What to check | Codingclave price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hosted builder (Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and similar) | A sole trader testing demand | Where form entries are stored, whether the template survives a keyboard test, room for a collection notice | We don't build on these; you pay the subscription |
| WordPress with an NDIS-style theme or template | A small team that wants to edit its own pages | Theme accessibility claims tested by hand, plugin updates, where the form plugin keeps entries | A$900–A$4,300, 1–2 weeks |
| Custom-built site (Next.js) | Providers spread across several districts or languages, or with steady referrals | Who owns the code and accounts, and what the support plan covers | A$1,200–A$6,900, 1–3 weeks |
| Participant intake portal | Coordinator logins and document uploads | Scope, and whether your care software plan includes API access | A$7,900–A$49,000, 6–12 weeks |
No theme makes a site compliant on its own, so test it with a keyboard and a screen reader before buying. Rostering, notes and claims stay in your care platform; our comparison of ShiftCare, Brevity and Lumary shows where each lists API access. When a Melbourne-based or NDIS-only agency is the better choice
Choose another agency if one of these describes you.
You want photos or video shot at your premises
Your Werribee or Dandenong office, a therapy room, staff at work: a studio in Melbourne can bring a camera. We can't.
You want a workshop in the room
If you plan best face to face, pick an agency that can visit.
You want years of NDIS references you can ring
NDIS-focused agencies claim 150+ providers (NDIS Website Designs), 200+ sites (2Brownies) and 350+ providers (21 Webs). We can't offer that yet.
We suit a different provider: say, a sole trader in Wyndham who needs a site, two district pages and a Vietnamese first-visit page within a month, with the price fixed before any work starts. If you also want paid search run, see Google Ads in Melbourne.
