Overview
Over three years that is A$3,780–A$15,540; Studio Slate's published tiers plus maintenance come to $11,089–$17,089 or more. We're a founder-led team in Lucknow, India. Review calls run about 5:30–8:30pm Sydney time, after your last patient, and you tap through every page on your own phone before go-live.

Quick answer
How much does a dental website cost in Sydney once monthly fees are added?
Studio Slate, the one Sydney studio that publishes a full price list, comes to at least $11,089–$17,089 over three years: $3,997, $5,997 or $9,997 to build, plus maintenance from $197 a month. Ours comes to A$3,780–A$15,540 over the same 36 months with no GST added, so a large custom build with full support can cost about what a studio's mid tier does. Practice Boost (from $3,000+) prices support per month on request, and dentistwebdesign.com.au ($5,000–$15,000) quotes marketing from $1,500 a month but no hosting or maintenance fee, so neither yields a like-for-like three-year figure. Prices checked 7 Oct 2026.
- Launch: 3–5 days (Studio Slate Starter), 4–8 weeks (other Sydney suppliers), 1–3 weeks with us from approved copy
- No Sydney supplier we checked says whether GST is in its price; we add none
- 42.0% of Greater Sydney households use a language other than English at home (ABS, 2021)
- NSW's HRIP Act covers your web forms whatever your turnover; we keep ad pixels off intake and booking pages
- Any supplier promising rankings or a set number of new patients is promising what it cannot control

Dental website design Sydney prices: six suppliers, monthly fees and GST status
We opened the dental page of every Sydney-addressed supplier on page one or in the map results for this search and noted what each prints. Only Studio Slate publishes a full price list, and none says whether GST is included, so competitor figures appear exactly as published. Ads above the results ("Websites From $1,200 Fixed", "One Price, No Retainer") aren't dental price lists, so they stay out. Agencies outside Sydney are compared on the Australia-wide dental website page.

| Studio Slate | Homebush West | $3,997 / $5,997 / $9,997; Express about +30% ($5,196 / $7,796 / $12,996); 50% upfront, 50% on delivery | Maintenance from $197; Dental SEO from $997; Google Ads $697 | 3–5 days (Starter) | No | studioslate.com.au |
| Practice Boost | Maroubra | From $3,000+ (Practice Launch); from $5,000+ (Premium SEO Package) | Support priced per month on request | 4–6 weeks | No | practiceboost.com.au |

Studio Slate's Starter can go live in 3–5 days, faster than us. Our case is the three-year bill, calls after close and pages in your patients' languages, with our clock starting when your dentist approves the wording.
With GST unstated, read Studio Slate's Starter both ways: $3,634 before tax if $3,997 includes GST, or $4,397 if GST is added on top. Nothing is added to ours.

What a Sydney dental website costs over three years, not just at launch
$197 a month looks small beside a $3,997 build until it runs for 36 months and adds $7,092. Adding three years of each published monthly fee to the build gives a practice manager one budget number, using only what each supplier prints.
| Option | Build | Monthly x 36 (minimum) | Three-year total | Not included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Studio Slate Starter | $3,997 | From $197 x 36 = $7,092 | From $11,089 | Dental SEO, Google Ads |
| Studio Slate Professional | $5,997 | From $7,092 | From $13,089 | Dental SEO, Google Ads |
| Studio Slate Premium | $9,997 | From $7,092 | From $17,089 | Dental SEO, Google Ads |
| Optional: Studio Slate Dental SEO, if taken for 36 months | — | From $997 x 36 = $35,892 | +$35,892 or more on any tier | Ad spend |
| Practice Boost or dentistwebdesign.com.au | As published | Not published (support on request; marketing from $1,500) | Cannot be calculated | Unknown |
| Codingclave, bottom of both bands | A$900 | A$80 x 36 = A$2,880 | A$3,780 | SEO, ads |
| Codingclave, top of both bands | A$6,900 | A$240 x 36 = A$8,640 | A$15,540 | SEO, ads; translation scoped separately |
Our range spans Studio Slate's Starter and Professional totals at minimum, so a large custom build with full support isn't automatically cheaper with us; only Premium sits above our top figure. Their side is as published; ours carries no GST.
Get your own three-year figure by sending your page count, locations and languages, or your agency's monthly invoices. General Sydney site costs are on our Sydney website cost page and in the website cost calculator.

Patient pages in Mandarin, Arabic, Cantonese, Vietnamese or Hindi
At the 2021 Census, 42.0% of Greater Sydney households used a language other than English at home, against 29.5% across NSW and 24.8% nationally: Mandarin 5.0% of residents, Arabic 4.2%, Cantonese 2.8%, Vietnamese 2.2% and Hindi 1.5% (ABS QuickStats). No Sydney supplier in the table mentions language pages.
Script and layout
Chinese pages need font fallbacks that hold up on Android and older iPhones, and Simplified and Traditional are separate translations. Arabic mirrors right to left while phone numbers and fees stay left to right. Vietnamese tone marks need extra line height, and Hindi pages load a Devanagari web font checked so vowel signs aren't clipped.
Language switcher and hreflang
Each version gets its own URL (/zh/, /ar/) with hreflang values such as zh-Hans-AU, ar-AU and vi-AU, every version naming the others and itself. Nobody is auto-redirected by browser language. More on layout for other scripts: our Sydney UI/UX design page.
Same Ahpra rules in every language
A claim removed in English can't survive in Arabic, and a translated patient comment is still a testimonial. The limits are on our national dental page.
| Page to translate first | Why a patient wants it in their language | Build detail | Who signs it off |
|---|---|---|---|
| New-patient and first-visit page | What the first visit involves and why history is asked | Links to the intake form; field labels translated where the form tool allows | Principal dentist, after a translator's check |
| Fees, health funds and payment | Gap payments are hard to follow in a second language | Fee figures and fund names identical in every version | Practice manager |
| Emergency and after-hours | A patient in pain reads fastest in their first language | Call button at the top, the same number on each version | Principal dentist |
| Top 2–3 treatment pages | Implant, aligner and children's treatment is often a family decision | A plain rendering of the English page, with no claims added | Treating dentist, against Ahpra wording |
| Booking route | The patient has to finish the booking, not just read about it | Widget language depends on the vendor, checked first | Practice manager, after a test booking in each language |
Choose languages from your own patient records; the Census figures cover Greater Sydney as a whole, not any suburb. Translation sits in the scope as its own line.
Tell us which languages your patients speak and we'll suggest where to start.

The NSW layer: HRIP Act and the forms on a dental site
Rules every Australian practice site shares (Ahpra wording, booking, CDBS and fee pages) are on our Australia-wide dental page. Sydney adds a state law: the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW) covers NSW private-sector health service providers at any turnover, alongside the federal Privacy Act (IPC NSW). How we build for it follows; this is not legal advice.
Forms, photo uploads and pixels
Build rules for intake forms, smile-photo uploads and tracking pixels are in the patient data section of our national page; in NSW those forms answer to HRIP too.
Sending health information out of NSW
Health Privacy Principle 14 limits transfers of health information outside NSW unless an exception applies, such as the patient's consent or a recipient bound by rules substantially similar to the HPPs, which matters with an offshore web team. Where your practice software has its own online forms, answers go straight into it; any other storage location is confirmed in writing before you sign, with HPP 14 in mind.
Recall emails and SMS
A recall that names the treatment can show it on a lock screen, so templates use neutral wording, opting out takes one tap, and the patient list stays in the practice software.
Seven years, or until 25
Section 25 requires a private NSW health service provider to keep health information for seven years after the last service, or until the patient turns 25 if collected before 18 (IPC NSW fact sheet). That duty sits with the clinical record, so web submissions move into the practice software and are then cleared from the site.
Send us your intake form link and we'll tell you where its answers go and what a patient's browser shares along the way.

Orthodontist and specialist practice sites: built for referring dentists
NSW holds 202 of Australia's 650 registered orthodontists, about 31%, among 613 dental specialist registrations in the state in the June 2026 quarter (Dental Board of Australia). For orthodontist website design in Sydney, the first visitor is often a general dentist deciding where to refer, and none of the Sydney suppliers we checked builds a page for that person.
A page for referring dentists
What to send (letter, OPG or other imaging, relevant history), how soon patients are seen, how reports come back, and a direct contact that skips the patient switchboard.
Secure referral form or file upload
A referral form with an imaging upload, kept out of shared inboxes; referrer logins or report downloads make it a portal, scoped through custom software development in Sydney.
Titles and the register
Specialist titles follow the public register. Whether a general dentist offering aligners can use the word orthodontist is answered in the national dental FAQs.
Treatment pages for a patient who has been referred
A referred patient already knows they need treatment, so the pages answer what happens next, how long it takes and what it costs, in that order.
Example scope: a Hills District orthodontic group with three locations
An example scope, not a client project: one referrer form that routes to the right location, three location pages with their own hours and booking, profiles showing who works where on which days, and treatment pages for children, teens and adults. Custom band.

One page per real chair: location pages in a crowded NSW market
NSW had 8,459 registered dental practitioners in the June 2026 quarter (6,400 in the dentist division), 28.8% of Australia's 29,351. Patients compare several practices within a few kilometres, so each real location page has to answer hours, funds and booking on its own.
Groups with more than one address
Page structure for groups is set out on our national page. The Sydney test is simple: a patient on a Sutherland Shire page should book that practice without a detour through head office.
No suburb pages where there is no chair
Suburb pages with no chair behind them, the name swapped into identical text, mislead patients and match what Google calls doorway pages in its spam policies. An Eastern Suburbs or Northern Beaches practice can name the areas its patients come from on its one location page.
Example scope: an Inner West two-chair practice
One location page done properly: each dentist's working days, the funds it is a preferred provider for, step-free entry, and a booking button that opens the right appointment types.
Where SEO and ads are handed over
Ongoing dental SEO is on our Sydney SEO page and paid search on Google Ads in Sydney. Ad spend goes from the practice straight to Google.
Practice Boost runs a growth-or-money-back banner for GP practices, and AEK Media's case studies cite #1 positions. We won't put a number on rankings, bookings or new patients; what you can check before launch is each location page, its speed and the booking route.

Redesigning an established Sydney practice site without losing its search traffic
An established practice already has pages that bring patients in, such as an implant page that ranks or an emergency page found at 10pm. A dental website redesign that changes their addresses without redirects throws that away.
Map every URL that brings patients
We crawl the old site, take a Search Console export with the practice's permission, and give every address that earns clicks or bookings a matching new page and a 301 redirect.
The .com.au stays in the practice’s name
auDA's licensing rules require a .com.au holder to have an Australian presence, such as an ABN, and a name that matches or relates to its business or services (auDA). We have no Australian presence, so the domain stays with the practice and we work through the access it grants.
Practice email runs on the same domain
Confirmations and staff mail usually go out from the .com.au, so the MX, SPF and DKIM records are copied across before the domain points anywhere new; skip it and practice emails can stop arriving or land in spam.
Getting logins back from a retainer agency
Collect owner access to the registrar, hosting, Google Business Profile, Analytics, Search Console and booking widget account, and ask for transfers while the old contract still runs; we supply a checklist.
Old WordPress builds
Staying on WordPress, or weighing a dental WordPress template? See WordPress developers in Sydney.
Launch night and the week after
We update the website address on the Google Business Profile, add the new domain to the booking widget's allowed list where the vendor uses one, test every redirect, submit the sitemap and make a test booking at each location, then watch Search Console for crawl errors.
Send your current URL and we'll list the pages that must keep their address before anyone redesigns.

Working with our team in India around a Sydney surgery’s day
Codingclave is a founder-led team in Lucknow, India, with no office, staff or phone line in Australia; practices reach us on WhatsApp, email or video call. Monday to Saturday our day runs 3:30pm–12:30am AEDT, overlapping a 9–5 surgery day by only 1.5 hours. From 5 Apr 2027, after daylight saving ends, it reads 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST, a 2.5-hour overlap.
Saturday lists, recall days and the year-end rush
Go-live goes after the Saturday list or on a weekday evening, never on a recall-heavy morning. Many health funds reset extras limits on 1 January (others on 1 July or the policy anniversary), so patients often book late in the year; check your patients' funds, and an October launch lets redirects settle before that rush.
Evening calls, next-morning changes
Kickoff and review calls fit between about 5:30pm and 8:30pm Sydney time. Changes agreed on a call are worked on overnight Sydney time, usually ready the next morning; turnaround for your project is confirmed in writing before you sign.
If the booking button fails at 8am
The booking widget runs on your vendor's servers, so a vendor outage goes to its support line, and each page keeps a tap-to-call number above it. Uptime monitoring is in the hosting band; how fast a fault is answered before our 3:30pm AEDT start is set in writing.
Copy and Ahpra responsibility
Whether we draft copy from your notes or your team writes it is agreed in the scope. Wording that Ahpra's advertising guidance restricts is flagged, and your principal dentist approves the final text, because the practice answers for what it advertises.

When a Sydney-based studio is the better choice
A remote team doesn't suit every practice. A studio from the table above is likely the better fit if one of these matters most.
In-surgery photo and video shoots
A studio in the same city can photograph your team and rooms on a quiet afternoon. We work with photos the practice supplies or commissions.
Face-to-face workshops
Planning the site across a table in Crows Nest or Homebush West needs a studio with an office there. Our meetings are video calls.
One agency running web, SEO and ads on a single retainer
Some practices want one Sydney supplier billing monthly for site, SEO and Google Ads, with the account manager a drive away.
If none of those matters most, compare the three-year total, evening reviews, language pages and a domain kept in your name. Send your quote and we'll set it beside ours.
