Overview

Ashish Sharma leads the work himself, remotely from Lucknow, India: you grant read-only access first, approve every change and keep every account in your name. Review calls run 2:30–11:30pm AEST. For comparison, the lowest printed Gold Coast fee we found is $550 a month (Thrive Digital, Burleigh Heads), and iOnline in Nerang lists $1,100–$2,100 ex GST on a three-month minimum. Only iOnline puts a number on GST or a minimum term.

Quick answer

What does an SEO agency on the Gold Coast cost each month?

Among providers ranking for this search, printed fees run from $550 a month (Thrive Digital's entry plan) to $5,000 at the top of the range CLIQ calls typical. Of eight agency pages we opened on 7 Oct 2026, three show a figure, four show none and Zib Digital's would not load. Only iOnline says where GST stands: its prices exclude it. Stated minimum terms run from none to 12 months on iOnline's website bundles. Codingclave's retainer is A$990–A$9,800 a month, month-to-month, so Thrive's entry plan undercuts our lowest point. What our fee covers is listed in the pricing section; Australia-wide figures are on our national SEO services page.

  • Lowest printed entry: $550 a month at Thrive Digital, GST status not given
  • Most detailed price list: iOnline, $1,100–$2,100 ex GST, 3-month minimum
  • Highest stated floor: CLIQ works with businesses spending at least $2,000 a month
  • Codingclave: A$990–A$9,800 a month, month-to-month, scope agreed in writing
  • Working from India: read-only access first, every account kept in your name

Gold Coast SEO fees, provider by provider (checked 7 Oct 2026)

These are the provider pages ranking for "seo agency gold coast" when we checked on 7 October 2026. Each figure is copied as printed, in AUD; the only numbers we added are iOnline's GST-inclusive equivalents. "Not stated" means the page is silent on the point, not that the provider won't answer. Thrive's $550 entry plan is below our A$990 floor. Each "from" figure counts something different: iOnline counts focus pages, Thrive keeps its inclusions in a PDF released after a form, and CLIQ's number is a spending threshold. Ask each provider for its monthly task list in writing, and whether Business Profile work is billed per location.

Minimum terms, exit clauses and the unfair-contract law that covers small firms

Only iOnline's page states a minimum term in plain numbers. The others promise no lock-in in general words or stay silent, so the real terms live in the contract you are sent.

  • Who the unfair contract terms law protects

Since 9 November 2023, unfair terms in standard-form contracts with small businesses have been banned, with penalties attached (Treasury announcement). A business with fewer than 100 employees or turnover under $10 million is covered (the old test was under 20 employees), so most Gold Coast operators buying SEO fall inside it. The ACCC's contracts guidance explains how the rules apply.

  • Three clauses to read before you sign

    • Automatic renewal. Does the agreement roll into a new fixed term unless you cancel, and how much notice does cancelling take?
    • Early-exit fees. Is there a charge for leaving early, and does the agency face anything similar if it walks away?
    • One-sided changes. Can the provider change the price or scope without your agreement?

General information, not legal advice. If a clause worries you, ask a lawyer.

  • How our terms work

Month-to-month, with the notice period, the monthly inclusions and content ownership confirmed in writing for your business before you sign. Want another agency's contract read first? Pick that option in the form below.

An SEO team in Lucknow working for Gold Coast firms: what to verify, and when we’re online

CLIQ, an Adelaide agency ranking for this search, tells readers in its FAQ to be careful with SEO firms overseas. Here is who we are and four checks you can run yourself.

  • Who you would be dealing with

Ashish Sharma started Codingclave in Lucknow in 2017 and still leads delivery. There is no Australian office, phone line, staff or ABN, which is why each safeguard below is something you can confirm without trusting us. Work runs over WhatsApp, email and video calls; WhatsApp uses data, so messaging +91 92771 84741 from an Australian mobile adds no international call charges.

  • Safeguards you can check yourself

    • Read-only Search Console and GA4 access comes first; nothing is edited until a scope is agreed.
    • Your domain, Business Profile and every account stay in your name.
    • Each page change is sent to you for approval.
    • Monthly reports come from your own accounts, so every number can be checked without us.

What arrives each month is itemised in our national deliverables ledger. When the platform holds rankings back, see our Gold Coast WordPress and Shopify pages.

  • When we are online, on Queensland time

Our working day is 2:30pm–11:30pm AEST, Monday to Saturday. Queensland has no daylight saving, so that window holds all year and overlaps a 9-to-5 day by two and a half hours: a review call once your doors are shut, and progress on agreed tasks to look at next morning. Tweed Heads runs an hour ahead from 4 Oct 2026 to 4 Apr 2027, so set Business Profile hours for each location in its own local time.

Local SEO on the Gold Coast: why the Maps results go to nearby, well-reviewed profiles

Local SEO decides whether your Google Business Profile appears in the map results when someone in Robina or Southport searches for what you do. Those results follow their own rules.

  • Relevance, distance and prominence

Google's local ranking help page names three main factors: how well a profile matches the search, how far the business is from the searcher, and how well known it is, judged partly from links and reviews. It also says nobody can ask for, or buy, a higher local ranking. Distance can't be moved: a Nerang business will struggle to reach a Coolangatta searcher ahead of a rival nearby.

  • Where our work goes

Your pack position depends on your own profile, so that is where the effort goes, inside your account: primary and secondary categories, services, service area, regular and holiday hours, photos and a reply to every review. We never create a profile for Codingclave; with no Gold Coast address, we would not be eligible.

  • One profile per location

Google's profile guidelines allow one profile per location, and a business that travels to customers should hide its address and set a service area. If you also trade from Brisbane, that premises gets its own profile and local work; see our Brisbane SEO page. Virtual-office and shared-desk rules are on our tradies page.

What the free 3-fix check looks at

Send a URL and the suburbs you serve. We work through this list and send back the three items most likely to be costing you calls or sales, ranked, each with a plain fix.

  • Business Profile

    • Whether the primary category matches the job people search for.
    • Service area against a shown address: travelling businesses should hide the address.
    • Regular and holiday hours on the profile compared with the hours on your site.
    • Reviews left without a reply.
  • Website

    • Whether robots.txt or a security plugin blocks Google or AI crawlers.
    • Pages Google has indexed compared with the pages you expect it to know about.
    • Suburb pages that share one title or swap only the suburb name.
    • Business name, address and phone written the same way on the site, the profile and major directories.

The three fixes are yours to use with us, with another agency or on your own.

Suburb pages worth building: Gold Coast growth areas in the 2024–25 population estimates

The City of Gold Coast reached 691,230 residents at 30 June 2025 (preliminary), up 11,944 or 1.8% on the revised 679,286 a year earlier, per the Queensland Government Statistician's Office. Growth is uneven. Plan pages in three groups: the northern growth band (Coomera, Pimpama, Hope Island, Willow Vale); the coastal strip from Main Beach to Coolangatta; and the established centres of Southport, Robina and Nerang, with the hinterland running west towards Tamborine.

Build a suburb page only where you genuinely work and can say something specific: jobs done there, travel times from your base, or local rules such as body corporate by-laws in a Surfers Paradise tower. In the established centres, one strong page for Southport or Robina usually beats several thin ones. Pages that only swap the suburb name are what Google calls doorway pages; our national SEO page summarises that rule. Otherwise, list the suburb in your Business Profile service area.

Not sure which suburbs merit a page? Send your suburb list on WhatsApp and we will say which to build and which to keep as service area.

When to publish: a Gold Coast SEO calendar for Schoolies and the 2027 school terms

Google has to find a new or changed page, recrawl it and work out where it fits before it can rank, so we plan seasonal pages six to eight weeks before demand starts. The holiday dates come from the Queensland Department of Education (term dates and future dates) and the Queensland Government's Safer Schoolies site. The publish-by windows are our arithmetic.

  • Update Business Profile holiday hours before each break. Searchers see Maps hours long before they reach your site.
  • Refresh last year's seasonal page rather than starting a new URL. The old address keeps its links and history; change the dates, prices and photos.

We re-check these dates each term. For ad budgets around the same periods, see Gold Coast Google Ads.

Summer holidays start 12 Dec. New pages need to be live by late October. Message us on WhatsApp with your site and busiest season.

AI SEO for Gold Coast businesses: ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews in proportion

StudioHawk, which sells AI search work, says on its Gold Coast page that no agency can guarantee a mention. What we can check, free, is whether your site lets AI crawlers in at all, since some robots.txt files and security plugins block them without the owner knowing. How much should a small Gold Coast business spend on SEO each month?

Start from what one extra job or sale is worth. Most Gold Coast firms are small: 62.9% of those trading in June 2025 had no employees (ABS), so a sole trader rarely needs a top-of-range retainer. If one new client a month covers the fee, the spend has a case. Budget for upkeep too: rankings can hold for a while after work stops, but competitors keep publishing and Google keeps updating, so visibility tends to fade.

How much does local SEO cost on the Gold Coast?

The only local-only price printed by a provider ranking here is iOnline's Business Profile management: $395 a month per location, ex GST, on top of its SEO plans. Most agencies fold profile work into a retainer or quote it on request. Codingclave's retainer is A$990–A$9,800 a month, and your written scope states whether profile work for each location sits inside that figure.

Is there an SEO agency on the Gold Coast with no lock-in contract?

Yes. Tailored Media, which gives a Gold Coast phone number, mentions no-lock-in SEO work, and StudioHawk, which serves the Gold Coast from Melbourne and Sydney, says it has no lock-in contracts. iOnline sets a 3-month minimum for SEO and 12 months on website bundles. Codingclave runs month-to-month, notice period agreed in writing. Whatever you sign, read the renewal and exit clauses: unfair terms in standard-form small-business contracts are banned. General information, not legal advice.

Who is the best SEO agency on the Gold Coast?

No list settles it, because the right pick depends on whether you want in-person workshops, performance fees, a bundled website or published month-to-month pricing. Directory star ratings sit too close together to decide it. Our section on when a Gold Coast firm is the smarter hire matches provider types to needs, and lists what to get in writing from anyone you shortlist.

Can an SEO agency with no office on the Gold Coast get my business into the map pack?

Yes, because the map pack ranks your profile, not the agency's address. Google weighs relevance, distance and prominence, and says nobody can request or pay for a better local ranking. When we checked, several of the strongest organic results for this search belonged to national agencies listing no Gold Coast address. What counts is your category, service area, hours, reviews and site, worked on inside your own account.

Is it safe to hire an SEO company based overseas?

Judge any provider on what you can verify rather than where it sits. Codingclave works from Lucknow, India, with no Australian office, staff or ABN, so the safeguards are built in: read-only Search Console and GA4 access first, every page change approved by you, the domain and Business Profile in your name, and reports drawn from your own accounts. Each can be checked without taking our word for it.

How long does SEO take to work for a Gold Coast business?

Providers ranking here give their own estimates: StudioHawk says Gold Coast businesses usually see movement within three to six months, and Thrive says a minimum of four months to gain traction. Fixes such as a wrong Business Profile category or a page blocked from Google can show sooner; new pages in a crowded trade search take longer. We do not promise a timeline. You see progress monthly in your own Search Console.

Can an agency guarantee my business shows up in ChatGPT answers?

No. AI assistants decide for themselves which businesses to mention, and StudioHawk's Gold Coast page says no agency can guarantee it. What helps is the groundwork that helps ordinary search: the same business name, address and phone number everywhere, steady reviews, and pages that answer real questions. Also check that robots.txt or a security plugin isn't blocking AI crawlers; we run that check free.
