Who holds the hosting, the code and the page builder after launch
Should the developer who builds your WordPress site also host it? It's convenient, but the host controls backups, the PHP version and server access, so whoever hosts holds the practical keys.

Only WP Central Coast says outright that you can host anywhere, and it tucks that into its FAQ. Three of the five name a page builder or third-party theme for at least some builds (Sarah Britz also lists Elementor among her skills), so the licence key matters as much as the login. Can you move a WordPress site off a Coast studio's server? Usually. What you already hold, and when your hosting term ends, decide how smoothly it goes.
What to ask your current developer for
- An Administrator login under your business email.
- The hosting account, or a full backup of files and database.
- DNS and .com.au registrar access.
- Licence keys for premium plugins and the builder, and who renews each.
Page-builder sites (Elementor, Beaver Builder, Astra)
Builder layouts move with the database; a licence on the studio's account doesn't. Buy your own, or rebuild in a block theme if a redesign is due.

Nearly half of Coast retailers (752 of 1,601) have no employees, so the owner usually adds stock after closing: keep the product form short. On broker and adviser sites, you or your licensee supply the disclosure wording.

Is your WordPress site patched? The September 2026 releases
The September releases
WordPress 7.1.2 (22 Sep 2026) fixed a critical flaw that, under certain conditions, could let an attacker who isn't logged in run code on the server. Five days earlier, 7.1.1 carried 11 security fixes, and 7.2 is planned for December. If Dashboard > Updates offers anything, take a backup and apply it.

From Gosford to The Entrance: what each part of the Coast asks of a WordPress site
ABS 2024–25 estimates put Gosford–Springfield and Warnervale–Wadalba in front, each up 2.8%, while Kariong lost 107 residents (−1.6%).
Gosford CBD, Point Frederick and Kariong
Gosford–Springfield added 641 residents to reach 23,282, the Coast's fastest rise. One Gosford service page naming Springfield, Point Frederick and Kariong covers all three; a suburb field on the enquiry form shows where work comes from.
Erina, Terrigal and Kincumber
Terrigal–North Avoca rose by 162 to 15,631; Erina–Green Point slipped by 55. If most of your trade here is repeat custom, WooCommerce gift vouchers and a rebooking link in confirmation emails may do more than another landing page.
Tuggerah, Wyong and Warnervale
Warnervale–Wadalba added 628 people to 23,023; Wyong held at 9,341 and Tuggerah–Kangy Angy sits at 5,360. Draw WooCommerce delivery zones or a booking radius that takes in Warnervale and Wadalba, not only Wyong.
The Entrance, Bateau Bay and Toukley
The Entrance SA2 grew by 152 to 16,336. If you serve the stretch up to Toukley, name Bateau Bay and Toukley on your existing service page rather than cloning near-identical suburb pages.
Woy Woy, Umina Beach and Ettalong
Umina–Booker Bay–Patonga is the Coast's largest SA2, at 25,057 residents. For a Peninsula retailer, WooCommerce local pickup plus a delivery zone limited to Peninsula postcodes stops nearby buyers paying whole-Coast freight.

Who will actually build it?
WP Guru writes "I'm a Sydney-based WordPress developer". Sarah Britz works solo, Clickk lists 7 in-house staff, and Ashish Sharma scopes and oversees each of our jobs. With a one-person operation, ask who covers your site while they're away.
Can you see WordPress sites they’ve finished?
WP Central Coast shows four recent projects and Redback runs a portfolio carousel. Open two or three live sites on your phone, test a form, and ask who maintains them now. Ours are on our work page.
Can anyone promise page one?
Redback's FAQ asks it outright: "Will my website rank number one on Google?" Nobody can guarantee rankings or leads, Codingclave included. A developer builds a fast, well-structured site; Google decides where it ranks.
