Quick answer
How much does SEO cost on the Sunshine Coast per month?
On the providers' own pages, read 7 Oct 2026: SunCoast Media charges $988, $1,699 or $2,449 a month +GST, or $247 a week +GST on its Flex plan. Lucky 44 starts monthly SEO at $1,500 +GST, but every one of its monthly packages is full. First Page puts most Coast campaigns at $1,500 to $4,000, and Locx, a Sydney company, lists $980, $1,380 and $2,380. Digital Nomads HQ, StudioHawk, Kook and Due North print no figure. Ours is A$990 to A$9,800 a month with no GST added, so an unregistered sole trader pays A$990 where SunCoast's entry plan costs $1,086.80.
- Inc GST: $988 +GST is $1,086.80; $1,500 +GST is $1,650
- SunCoast plans work out at ~$68–$82 an hour ex GST
- Only SunCoast prints a notice period: 7 days, on its Flex plan
- Ours adds no GST: the figure quoted is what you pay
- SunCoast's page shows two price sets, so get yours in writing

SEO agency Sunshine Coast prices, read off each provider’s own page on 7 Oct 2026
We ran the search on google.com.au on 6 Oct 2026, non-personalised, then opened every provider's own page on 7 Oct. Lucky 44's figures sit on its services page rather than the page that ranks. Prices appear as printed; the inc-GST column is our own ×1.1 arithmetic.
| Provider (base) | Plan | Price as printed | Inc-GST equivalent (calculated, ×1.1) | Built on | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SunCoast Media (Peregian Springs) | Business | $988 a month +GST | $1,086.80 | 12 hours, 50 keywords tracked | suncoastmedia.com.au |
| SunCoast Media | Business Extra | $1,699 a month +GST | $1,868.90 | 24 hours, 70 keywords tracked | suncoastmedia.com.au |
| SunCoast Media | Ultimate | $2,449 a month +GST | $2,693.90 | 36 hours, 100 keywords tracked | suncoastmedia.com.au |
| SunCoast Media | SEO Flex | $247 a week +GST, 4-week commitment | ~$1,177.37 a month | 3.5 hours a week (~15.2 a month), 20 keywords tracked | suncoastmedia.com.au |
| Lucky 44 (Maroochydore) | Audit, Fix & Refresh | $795 +GST, one-off | $874.50 | One-off audit and fixes | lucky44.com.au |
| Lucky 44 | Website Fix, 3 months | $3,000 +GST for three months | $3,300 | A three-month repair of an existing site | lucky44.com.au |
| Lucky 44 | Monthly SEO | From $1,500 a month +GST; at capacity, waitlist only | $1,650 | Not itemised | lucky44.com.au |
| Lucky 44 | SEO + Google Ads | $2,000 a month +GST, ad spend extra; at capacity, waitlist only | $2,200 | SEO plus ads management | lucky44.com.au |
| Locx (Sydney company) | Basic / Standard / Advanced | $980 / $1,380 / $2,380 a month; $9,408 / $13,248 / $22,848 a year upfront | GST not stated | 4 / 8 / 12 articles a month | locx.com.au |
| First Page (VIC and NSW offices) | Typical range | Most Coast campaigns $1,500–$4,000 a month | GST not stated | Not itemised | firstpage.com.au |
| Digital Nomads HQ, StudioHawk, Kook, Due North | None shown | Not published | n/a | n/a | DNHQ, StudioHawk, Kook, Due North |
| Codingclave (Lucknow, India; remote) | Monthly retainer | A$990–A$9,800 a month | No GST added (overseas supplier, not GST-registered) | One site at the floor: written fix list, Business Profile upkeep, monthly report | Our SEO services |
Dated 7 Oct 2026; prices change, so re-check before you decide. SunCoast Media's own page carries a second set of figures: its FAQ and enquiry form still list $899, $1,499 and $1,999 +GST, and another block puts the Flex plan at $275 a week. Get the monthly figure and its GST treatment written into any agreement. The 'values' put on free strategy sessions (Digital Nomads HQ $2,000, First Page $4,200) are marketing, not prices.
WhatsApp your site and suburb and three specific fixes come back free, no logins asked for.

Hours, keywords tracked or articles: what each Coast package is built on
Agency or SEO consultant on the Sunshine Coast, the question is what the fee pays for. SunCoast Media sells hours plus keywords tracked, Locx sells articles, and Lucky 44 and First Page name no unit. Fee divided by hours is the only like-for-like measure these pages allow.
| Plan | Monthly (ex GST where shown) | Unit sold | Effective rate | What the unit doesn't tell you |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SunCoast Business | $988 | 12 hours, 50 keywords | ~$82.33 an hour | Which tasks fill the hours |
| SunCoast Business Extra | $1,699 | 24 hours, 70 keywords | ~$70.79 an hour | Where the extra hours go |
| SunCoast Ultimate | $2,449 | 36 hours, 100 keywords | ~$68.03 an hour | Who does the work, at what level |
| SunCoast SEO Flex | ~$1,070.33 ($247 × 52 ÷ 12) | 3.5 h a week, 20 keywords | ~$70.57 an hour | What happens in the 4-week minimum |
| Locx Basic, paid yearly | $784 average ($9,408 upfront) | 4 articles a month | No hours published | Refund terms; whether articles target winnable searches |
| Codingclave | A$990 floor (band to A$9,800) | A written fix list, worked in order | Not sold by the hour | At the floor: one site, technical and page fixes, Business Profile upkeep, monthly report; no new-content programme |
'Keywords tracked' is reporting. A rank tracker checks your position; nothing on your site changes.
Articles are output, not outcome. A dozen general posts can sit unread while the service pages that bring calls stay thin.
Locx's yearly sum. $980 × 12 is $11,760; 20% off makes $9,408, or $784 a month, paid upfront and a saving only if you stay the year. Refunds aren't mentioned.
Who pays '+GST'. Registration is compulsory from $75,000 GST turnover and registered businesses generally claim it back, so $988 +GST costs them $988; an unregistered sole trader pays $1,086.80. Ours adds no GST, so that sole trader pays A$990; registered businesses should ask their accountant about reverse charge (see the note under our pricing).

Lock-in, notice and who keeps the work when you leave a Coast agency
Five of the eight pages describe their terms; only SunCoast Media names a notice period. Since 9 November 2023, unfair terms in standard-form contracts can draw penalties, with small-business protection for firms under 100 employees or $10 million turnover, which covers most Coast businesses. It's a backstop, not a reason to skip reading.
| Provider | Minimum term | Notice | Lock-in wording | Silent on |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SunCoast Media | 4 weeks (Flex) | 7 days (Flex) | No lock-in; change plans month to month | Monthly-plan notice; ownership |
| Kook | Month to month | Not stated | No lock-in contracts | Notice; ownership |
| StudioHawk | Not stated | Not stated | No lock-in contracts | Notice; ownership |
| Locx | Monthly, or a prepaid year at 20% off | Not stated | No long-term contracts | Refund of an unused prepayment |
| Digital Nomads HQ | 'Monthly and scalable' | Not stated | None | Term, notice, ownership |
| Lucky 44, First Page, Due North | Not stated | Not stated | None | All exit terms |
| Codingclave | Month to month | Set in your agreement; nothing paid before you sign | None needed: no minimum term | Ownership: content, accounts and access stay yours, in writing |
Before signing with anyone, us included, check whether a fixed term rolls over unless you cancel by a date, how much notice you owe, who owns the pages and links once you go, and whose login holds your Business Profile, GA4, Search Console and domain. It should be yours, with the agency a removable user. Prepaying a year, as Locx invites? Ask in writing what comes back if you stop in month four.

Getting your business into the Google Maps three, with or without a Coast agency
On 6 Oct 2026 the map box showed Digital Nomads HQ (4.9 from 108 reviews) and Kook (4.9 from 129) in Mooloolaba, and Lucky 44 (5.0 from 78) in Maroochydore, each with a staffed Coast address. Google ranks local results mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, measuring distance from the searcher or the place searched.
Why you won’t see us in that box
Google's Business Profile guidelines exclude virtual offices, and co-working spaces qualify only with signage and staff during business hours. We have neither on the Coast and won't rent an address to fake one.
Where map work happens: your own profile
A trade that travels should run a service-area profile with the address hidden, areas within about two hours' drive, and a primary category matching its core service. 'Plumber Buderim' and 'plumber Noosaville' return different businesses because distance runs from the place typed. See the rules that get profiles suspended and naming service areas without doorway pages.
Reviews: ask everyone, the same way
Google bars incentives for reviews, and its profile policy bars review gating: steering only happy customers to Google. Some review tools sold to trades filter by default, so check the setting. Send every customer the same link at sign-off and reply to every review.
How Coast customers search by place
People type the suburb they're in or need served: Caloundra, Caloundra West and Aura; Kawana and Birtinya; Mooloolaba and the Maroochydore CBD; Buderim and Sippy Downs; Nambour; Coolum and Peregian; Noosaville, Noosa Heads and Tewantin; Maleny inland. Use the names your customers use.
Is local SEO worth it? Most for businesses serving a radius, such as a Kawana dentist or a Coolum electrician; least for online-only sellers whose buyers never search by suburb. The profile is free and stays yours; we work on it as an added manager.

How many Coast businesses chase your search: ABS counts by industry
The ABS business counts for June 2025 show how many firms in your industry trade in the Sunshine Coast council area, which is a rough measure of who else wants searches like 'electrician Sunshine Coast'.
| Industry (ABS) | Businesses, June 2025 | Typical search you compete on |
|---|---|---|
| Construction | 8,376 | 'electrician Sunshine Coast', 'builder Buderim' |
| Professional, scientific and technical services | 5,346 | 'accountant Maroochydore', 'family lawyer Caloundra' |
| Rental, hiring and real estate | 4,953 | 'property management Noosa', 'real estate agent Kawana' |
| Health care and social assistance | 3,645 | 'physio Buderim', 'dentist Sippy Downs' |
| Retail trade | 2,341 | 'surf shop Mooloolaba', 'bike shop Nambour' |
| Accommodation and food services | 1,503 | 'cafe Coolum', 'accommodation Noosa Heads' |
Growth since June 2024: Construction +2.1% (from 8,202), professional services +4.7% (from 5,108). Noosa Shire is counted separately: 8,016 businesses, 1,490 of them in construction and 1,261 in rental, hiring and real estate.
Small firms, few marketers. 10,973 Coast businesses employ one to four people and 3,703 employ five to nineteen, so most rivals are too small to have a dedicated marketer. Your real competitors are the ones offering your service near your customers.

Legal SEO on the Sunshine Coast, and the clinic and builder rules that shape your pages
Three kinds of Coast business work under advertising rules that override the usual advice to publish offers and testimonials. None of the eight provider pages above mentions them.
Law firms and personal injury work
Sections 65–66 of Queensland's Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 restrict personal injury advertising, broadly to name, contact details and area of practice. In May 2026 Proctor reported that QCAT publicly reprimanded and fined a Gold Coast PI principal $4,000 over website wording including 'Free consultation – No win no fee'. Legal SEO here means strong conveyancing, family, wills and commercial pages, a clean Business Profile, and PI pages your principal approves.
Can a clinic put Google reviews on its website? Not in its advertising
Ahpra's guidelines apply section 133 of the National Law, which bans testimonials in advertising a regulated health service. Patients reviewing you on Google is fine, but republishing those reviews on service pages or in a widget likely isn't. Rank on treatment pages and practitioner qualifications instead; see medical and allied health clinics and dental practices.
Builders and licensed trades
Licence details in ads and on sites carry Queensland rules, covered in our Sunshine Coast ad-rules notes and Coast business-mix section. For the rest, see our tradies page.
Send one PI or treatment page on WhatsApp and we'll mark wording for your principal or practice manager. We aren't lawyers; they decide.

Noosa, Mooloolaba and Caloundra operators: publishing before the season, not during it
International visitors spent a record $424 million on the Sunshine Coast in the year to September 2025 (Tourism Research Australia, via the Queensland Government). Pages need time to be crawled and settle, so our working rule is live 6–10 weeks before the holidays they target. Dates are Queensland state school holidays from the Department of Education calendar; interstate holidays differ.
| Holiday period | Dates | Pages live between (6–10 weeks ahead) |
|---|---|---|
| Summer 2026–27 | Sat 12 Dec 2026 – Tue 26 Jan 2027 | 3 Oct – 31 Oct 2026 (open now) |
| Easter and autumn 2027 | Fri 26 Mar – Sun 11 Apr 2027 (Easter Sunday 28 Mar) | 15 Jan – 12 Feb 2027 |
| Winter 2027 | Sat 26 Jun – Sun 11 Jul 2027 | 17 Apr – 15 May 2027 |
| Spring 2027 | Sat 18 Sep – Mon 4 Oct 2027 | 10 Jul – 7 Aug 2027 |
For summer stays, that window is open now: pages should be live before November. Refresh last year's seasonal URLs rather than starting new ones, so they keep their links. WhatsApp the season you're booking for.
With a fortnight to go and no ranking, paid search is the most reliable route onto page one, ad spend paid by you to Google: see Sunshine Coast Google Ads and accommodation operators.

Just moved to the Coast with a small budget? Thirty days of SEO before you pay anyone
One result is a Reddit thread on r/sunshinecoast, 'Is there a good SEO agency on the Sunshine Coast?', from a plumber new to the area. One reply suggested organic social for anyone short on budget, fair for some trades. Before paying anyone, four weeks of evenings covers the groundwork.
Week 1: finish your Business Profile
Service area (address hidden if you work on site), categories, hours, and real photos of your van, team and jobs.
Week 2: ask every customer for a review
Same message, same link, every completed job, with no filtering for happy customers.
Week 3: fix your service and suburb pages
One page per main service, with a price guide, areas covered and how to book. If the site itself is the obstacle, a WordPress fix or rebuild may need to come first.
Week 4: set up Search Console and record a baseline
Verify the site, note clicks and the searches already showing you, and compare in 60 days.
When paying someone adds up. Arithmetic, not a forecast: at $400 margin a job, A$990 a month breaks even at about 2.5 extra jobs, or roughly five enquiries if half become work. If search can't plausibly bring that, keep working the four steps.
WhatsApp your site and trade and we'll say which step matters most for you.

An India-based SEO team for a Coast business: clocks, logins and sign-off
Digital Nomads HQ marks its packages 'No Outsourcing' and Kook's page says 'No outsourcing.' If a team down the road matters most, shortlist them. Here is how ours runs, so you can compare.
Who you deal with
You deal with Ashish Sharma, who founded Codingclave in Lucknow, India, in 2017 and still leads every account. We have no Coast office, Australian staff or ABN, and never present ourselves as local. Proof you can check: ★ 4.9 on Google (76 reviews), 200+ projects since 2017, Top Rated on Upwork.
The clock
We work 2:30pm to 11:30pm AEST, Monday to Saturday, overlapping a 9-to-5 Coast day by two and a half hours. Coast clocks don't move in October; Sydney's do, so you're an hour behind Sydney until 4 April 2027, while our hours on your clock never change. A message sent at 8pm after knock-off reaches us mid-shift, and evening work is waiting next morning.
Logins
We start read-only: Google advises read access, not write, to Search Console at the audit stage. Profile, analytics, Search Console and domain stay in your business's name, content we write is yours, and all access is handed back at the end, confirmed in writing.
Sign-off
No page changes without your approval. Each edit is logged with its date in a record we share, and its effect shows in your own Search Console. Support runs in those hours by WhatsApp, email or video call.

Page one, AI Overviews and ChatGPT: what no provider can promise
Google is blunt: 'No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.' Nobody, us included, can guarantee rankings or leads. Timelines are estimates too: Due North, a Twin Waters agency, says ranking well 'often takes 4 to 12 months', depending on competition. AI Overviews have run Australia-wide since 29 October 2024, and nobody controls what Google's AI or ChatGPT cites. What helps: crawlable service pages, consistent business details, genuine reviews and plain answers, never the doorway or bulk pages Google's spam policies prohibit.
What we commit to in writing instead:
- Every change recorded with its date
- Your approval before any page is edited or published
- A monthly report you can check in your own Search Console
- All logins and access returned when we finish
