PayPerWA vs AiSensy

AiSensy is one of the largest WhatsApp Business API platforms in India. As of October 2026 its pricing page lists five tiers: Free Forever (₹0, no broadcasting), Basic at ₹1,500 per month, Pro at ₹3,200 per month, Premium at ₹9,100 per month and Unlimited at ₹45,000 per month, with yearly billing saving 10%. The drag-and-drop chatbot builder is not part of any plan — it is a separate add-on at ₹2,500 per month for five chatbots — and the AI Agent builder is another ₹1,350 per month. On top of the subscription you prepay WhatsApp Conversation Credits for every delivered template: AiSensy lists ₹1.09 per marketing message and ₹0.145 per utility, authentication or service message for Indian numbers, with the first 1,000 service messages each month free.

PayPerWA, built by Codingclave, is the opposite model. There is no subscription, no setup fee and no feature tiers. You pay Meta's pass-through rate plus a flat ₹0.20 platform fee per message, so a marketing message to an Indian number costs ₹1.06 all-in (₹0.86 Meta + ₹0.20) and a utility message costs ₹0.33. The chatbot builder, two-way team inbox, contact CRM with unlimited contacts and tags, REST API and webhooks are included for every account, and any message that fails to deliver is refunded to your wallet automatically. Both products run on the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, so delivery, template approval and green-tick eligibility are identical. The real differences are the pricing structure, how much of the feature set is gated behind higher plans, and how deep the integration marketplace goes. This comparison uses the figures each company published in October 2026.

Choose PayPerWA if you send fewer than about 7,500 marketing messages a month, if your volume swings with seasons or campaigns, or if you want the chatbot, inbox, scheduling and API without paying for a tier. At 5,000 marketing messages a month you pay about ₹5,300 on PayPerWA against about ₹6,950 on AiSensy Basic — roughly ₹20,000 a year saved on the same Meta infrastructure — and the gap widens to nearly ₹50,000 a year once you add AiSensy's ₹2,500 chatbot add-on to get what PayPerWA includes by default. The auto-refund on failed deliveries also matters more than it sounds: on a cold CSV list, 5–10% of numbers fail, and PayPerWA credits every one of those back.

Choose AiSensy if you are a marketing team sending 20,000 or more messages every month, you run Click-to-WhatsApp ads and want the ads manager inside the same dashboard, or you depend on plug-and-play integrations such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Razorpay or LeadSquared without writing code. At that scale the fixed subscription is a small share of your bill, and Pro's click tracking, budget analytics and agent routing are genuinely useful. Be honest about the break-even, though: if Meta's pass-through rate were identical on both platforms, AiSensy Basic only beats PayPerWA's ₹0.20 fee above 7,500 messages a month, Pro above 16,000, and Basic plus the chatbot add-on above 20,000. On the rates each company publishes today, PayPerWA is cheaper at every volume we tested.

A practical rule: start on PayPerWA, since there is no commitment and onboarding is free, measure your real monthly volume for a quarter, and only move to a subscription platform if your numbers are consistently high enough and you need something PayPerWA does not have. Because both use the official Cloud API, switching either way means re-submitting templates under the new account and importing contacts via CSV — a few hours of work, not a migration project.
