Overview

You send the job, questions come back, and a fixed USD price follows within 24 hours. The work is built on your staging site, your team checks it, and you present it to your client as your own. We never contact your client unless you ask us to, and the code and IP pass to your agency on final payment. A WordPress build costs $200–$800; care for a client site starts at $75 a month.

Quick answer

How does white-label web development with a team in India work?

Your agency sells the project and keeps the client relationship; we are the subcontractor nobody sees. We work in your repository, on your staging and hosting, through your project tool or email, and nothing we deliver carries our name. Your team reviews every build before the client does. Each job has its own fixed USD price: WordPress sites $200–$800, custom-designed WordPress or Next.js sites $300–$1,200, stores $600–$3,500, and care from $75 a month per site.

  • The agency is our client; yours never hears from us unless you ask
  • Built in your accounts and delivered without our name on it
  • Code and IP pass to your agency on final payment
  • Priced job by job in US dollars

How a white-label job with us runs

These terms apply to every agency job and are repeated in each written quote.

  • Your agency is the client

Briefs, questions, approvals and invoices run between us and your agency. We don't contact your client unless you ask us to. When the client needs a technical answer, we draft it for you to send in your own name.

  • Your tools and your accounts

Code goes into your GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. The site runs on your hosting, whether that is WP Engine, Kinsta, SiteGround or your own server. Tasks live in your Asana, Jira, ClickUp, Trello or Basecamp, and Slack Connect or plain email both work for day-to-day messages.

  • Nothing carries our name

No Codingclave credit, footer link, theme author tag or branded plugin on anything we deliver. The theme's author field can name your agency instead.

  • Code and IP move to your agency

Everything we write for the job becomes your agency's on final payment, source code and IP alike. What you then hand to your client, and on what terms, is set by your own contract with them.

  • Each job priced on its own

A fixed USD price, the weeks and a list of what is excluded. Paid plugins, premium themes and hosting are bought in your agency's or your client's name, so no license depends on us after handover.

Jobs we take on for agencies

Most agency work arrives in one of these shapes, either as a one-off or as a steady flow from the same account manager.

  • Figma or XD to WordPress

Faithful builds on a block theme with custom blocks, or on ACF if your team prefers it, so the client edits content without breaking the layout. We can also work in Elementor or Divi when the client already runs on one of them.

  • Custom themes and Gutenberg blocks

A theme made for one client, or a block library your agency reuses across clients, documented so your own developers can extend it later.

  • WooCommerce stores

Catalogs, variations and subscriptions, Stripe or another gateway, shipping and tax settings, plus the refund, delivery, terms and contact pages. A live test order is placed together with you before handover.

  • Fixes, speed and upgrades

Plugin conflicts, a broken checkout, PHP version upgrades, failed updates, and Core Web Vitals work on slow page-builder sites.

  • Next.js and React front ends

Marketing sites and app-like front ends on Next.js with a headless CMS such as Sanity, or with WordPress as the headless back end, deployed to your Vercel or other hosting account.

  • PHP and Laravel

Functionality WordPress can't do cleanly: member portals, booking logic, a link to the client's CRM or ERP, small internal tools.

  • Landing pages to a deadline

Campaign pages from your design, with forms connected to the client's CRM and the tracking tags your media team asks for.

What we check before your team sees it

Every build goes through this list before the staging link reaches you:

6 points to check

  1. Responsive layouts at phone, tablet, laptop and wide-screen widths, compared with the design.
  2. Forms and email delivery: each form submitted and the message checked in the inbox it goes to, sent through the client's mail provider rather than the server's default mailer.
  3. Core Web Vitals: the key templates tested against Google's "good" thresholds of LCP within 2.5 seconds, INP of 200 milliseconds or less and CLS of 0.1 or less (web.dev). Field data from real visitors builds up after launch.
  4. Accessibility basics checked against WCAG 2.2: keyboard use, color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text, form labels and alt text. A full AA audit is quoted separately.
  5. Redirects and SEO basics: a 301 map from the old URLs, titles and descriptions in place, the XML sitemap, and the staging no-index setting removed at launch.
  6. Cross-browser: Chrome, Safari on Mac and iPhone, Firefox and Edge.

If your agency has its own QA checklist, send it with the first job and we work to that as well.

Working with a team whose day is your night

Our working day, Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00 IST, runs from late evening to early morning across the US. For agency work that becomes a useful rhythm; the table shows the hours in each US zone.

  • Brief before you log off

Send feedback or a new job at the end of your day. Our questions arrive overnight and sit at the top of your inbox in the morning.

  • A staging note each morning

Each of our working days ends with a staging link and a short note: what changed, what comes next, and anything we need from you.

  • Deadlines on your clock

Every date in the quote and every handoff time is given in Eastern or Pacific time, whichever you use, so nobody converts time zones in their head.

  • Launches in the quiet hours

Deploys and plugin update rounds can run during our day, which is the US night, when the client's site has the least traffic.

  • What this rhythm can’t do

Live pairing or a daily standup in your morning doesn't fit. A video call is possible by arrangement, at a time agreed in writing.

White-label WordPress maintenance for your clients’ sites

Plenty of agencies sell care to the client and pass the work to someone else. Our three USD plans are priced per site and run month to month, and the monthly report comes to you, not to your client. The website maintenance page has the full plan table.

  • Brochure Care, $75 a month

Sites up to about 15 pages with no store or logins: monthly updates on a staging copy first, daily off-site backups kept 30 days, weekly malware scans and 2 hours of changes a month.

  • Business Care, $150 a month

Business sites with a blog and forms, or stores up to about 100 products: daily malware scans, backups kept 60 days, a test order every month on stores and 6 hours of changes.

  • Store & App Care, $300 a month

Busy stores, membership sites and web apps: a real order and refund through the gateway every week, Core Web Vitals work on the top 10 pages and 15 hours of changes.

  • How that compares

WP Buffs, a WordPress care company, lists its entry white-label plan at $89 per site a month, or $71 at its partner discount for two or more sites, read on October 25, 2026 (WP Buffs). Its plans include emergency help at any hour. Ours don't: our care work happens in our working hours, Monday to Saturday IST.

When we’d build it in Next.js instead of WordPress

WordPress still runs 39.6% of all websites, according to W3Techs on October 24, 2026, so "moving away from WordPress" is a minority story. The agencies that do move a client usually have one of three reasons, and each has a fair counter-argument.

  • Upkeep

A typical WordPress site rests on a stack of plugins, each with its own updates and security releases. A Next.js site has fewer moving parts to patch, but any change beyond what the CMS allows needs a developer.

  • Speed

Heavy page builders make Core Web Vitals hard to pass. A lean block theme on good hosting usually passes too, for far less than a rebuild costs.

  • App-like features

Logins, dashboards, live data and screens that behave like software fit Next.js and React better than any theme does.

Our recommendation

Keep WordPress when the client's team edits content every day, sells through WooCommerce or has a modest budget. Choose Next.js with Sanity or headless WordPress when speed targets are strict, the site behaves like an app, or the same content feeds a site, an app and email.

Projects from our own portfolio you can check

White-label work can't be shown: by design, it carries the agency's name. These were delivered under our own name; the ones still online let you judge the build quality and the editing experience yourself. We don't name US clients on this page.

  • 20+ UP Government Polytechnic websites

One PHP template system rolled out across more than 20 polytechnic colleges in Uttar Pradesh, each site run by its own non-technical staff; gpunnao.com is one of them (it now runs on Laravel). It is the same pattern as a block library an agency reuses across clients. The polytechnic case study lists more.

  • ESMED, the European Society of Medicine

esmed.org: a WordPress and PHP platform with manuscript submission, an editorial peer-review workflow, tiered membership and a searchable research archive, delivered in 12 weeks. The ESMED case study shows the features.

  • A doctor’s practice site (offline)

A custom WordPress theme for a multi-specialty doctor's practice in India, with online appointment booking and email alerts, built in 4 weeks. The practice's domain no longer resolves, so it can't be opened today.

  • Dubai Digital Xchange summit site

Built on Next.js with Sanity so the event team could edit speakers and sessions without a developer. The organizers have since put a different site on that domain, so ours can't be opened today.

When we’re the wrong white-label partner

Better to know before the first job than after it.

  • You need a developer live in your US day

Pair programming, daily standups or same-afternoon turnarounds in US business hours don't fit a team whose day is your night.

  • The client insists on a Shopify Partner

We are not a Shopify Partner. Shopify jobs still run through your agency's own Partner organization, and white-label Shopify development explains how.

  • The site handles patient data

Forms or portals that collect protected health information under HIPAA need a vendor that signs a Business Associate Agreement. We don't take that work.

  • Brand strategy and art direction

We design screens in Figma when a job arrives without a design, but brand strategy, naming and art direction stay with your team.

  • A formal accessibility audit or VPAT

If the client needs a signed conformance report, hire an accessibility specialist for the audit. We can then fix the issues it finds.

How it works

From brief to handover

Start on WhatsApp
  1. Send the job

The design link, a sitemap or page list, copy if it exists, staging and hosting access, plugins the client already pays for, and the deadline in Eastern or Pacific time.

  2. Questions, then the price

Our questions reach you within 2 working hours (IST); the fixed price in US dollars follows inside 24 hours. Work starts when you accept it and pay the first installment.

  3. Build on your staging

We work on your staging copy, never the live site, and leave a written note with each update so your project manager knows what changed overnight.

  4. Your QA round

Your team reviews against the design and the scope, and we fix anything that doesn't match before the mid-project milestone is signed off.

  5. Launch at your time

We deploy when you say, often in the client's quiet hours, then check redirects, forms and indexing settings on the live site.

  6. Handover

Logins, a short editing guide you can rebrand for the client, and the list of plugins and licenses in use. Free bug fixes run for 6 months from launch.

Ask on WhatsApp (India)

How much does white label WordPress development cost?

With us, a WordPress site built from your design costs $200–$800, a custom-designed WordPress or Next.js site $300–$1,200 and a WooCommerce store $600–$3,500, each as one fixed USD price per job. Care for a client's site is $75, $150 or $300 a month. Elsewhere, E2M sells monthly capacity from $1,299 and White Label Agency lists site packages from $1,499, both read on October 25, 2026.

Is white labeling legal?

Subcontracting work and delivering it under your own brand is an ordinary commercial arrangement in agency work. What matters is your contract with the client: some require you to disclose subcontractors, get approval for them, or keep data in certain places. Read yours, or ask your attorney; this is general information, not legal advice. On our side, we work only for your agency and never claim the work as ours.

Will you ever contact our client?

Not unless you ask us to. Everything from the first brief to the last invoice goes through your agency. If your client finds our details and writes to us directly, we tell you and leave the reply to you. When the client needs a technical explanation, we draft it for you to send under your own name, so the relationship stays entirely yours.

Who owns the code we deliver to our client?

Your agency does, from the moment the final payment clears: the source code and the IP both transfer then. What you pass on to the client, and when, is set by your own contract with them. Paid themes and plugins are licensed in your agency's or the client's name, so nothing depends on an account of ours once the job is handed over.

Can you work inside our GitHub and hosting accounts?

Yes, and it is how we prefer to work. Add us to your GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket organization and create users for us on the staging and live hosting. We commit to branches in your repository and deploy through your pipeline or host. When the job ends you remove our access and nothing breaks, because nothing ever lived in an account of ours.

How fast can you turn around a WordPress site?

A WordPress site built from a finished design takes 1–2 weeks, a custom-designed site 1–3 weeks and a store 2–6 weeks, counted from the first payment once content and access are in. Fixes and small changes are measured in working days rather than weeks. Each quote states the weeks and the milestone date in Eastern or Pacific time.

Can we start with one small job?

Yes, and it is the sensible way to begin: a landing page, a plugin fix or one template, priced on its own. You see how our questions read, what the staging notes look like and whether the code meets your standards before you hand over a full client build. The first job carries the same terms as any other: a fixed price, your accounts and no credit to us.

Is WordPress still worth it in 2026?

For most agency clients, yes. It runs 39.6% of all websites (W3Techs, October 24, 2026), editors already know it, and WooCommerce covers most small stores. It fits less well for app-like sites, strict speed targets on page-builder themes, or content that feeds several channels; there we would suggest Next.js with a headless CMS.
